It's a 4090, remember set your frame rate caps with your monitor so it doesn't want to over do anything and you can see the performance and cooling you want; depending on the case you use and fan set up you can keep temperatures lower on this air-cooled modal than the water cooled equivalent, especially the VRAM. At being one of the smallest 4090 out there in length and width that's air cooled can't go wrong with smaller builds, the other MSI variants are also some of the smallest on the market and would probably work for most individuals as opposed to the ASUS brick.

Waited for ever for the suprim x to finally come back in stock. Drove 2.5 hrs in traffic today just to grab it. Got home swapped out my other 4090 and got instanttttt coil whine. I mean it is horrendous how bad the whine is. Looks like I'll be sticking with my zotac airo the coil whine on that one is very soft and the fans do not make any noise like usually complained about. Beautiful card though I'm going to miss the design.

Compared to RTX 4080 I ran for a few months the 4090 is significantly faster. I wanted a ASUS ROG STRIX 4090 but settled for this MSI Suprim RTX 4090 card due to availability. It runs very well. It's cool and quiet at 4K @ 144hz HDR max ultra quality game settings. It's cheaper now then my old 4080 which is crazy. This is still a very high quality card. The lights look good too. I was worried 4090 would be hot and loud but am very happy it is not.

Powerful and quiet. Unfortunate that Microcenter charges $50 over MSRP for MSI 4090 cards, but glad I was able to buy it locally incase I needed to return. The Suprim X I have now is my second one. The first I had to return/exchange due to unbearable coil whine. Second one thankfully has been fine. However, I don't know If it's due to conflict of software, Hardware issue on the card, or that this one runs a newer BIOS than my first card, but I can't get the zero fan mode on the card to work. It has a minimum set to 30% on both silent and gaming bios. Zero fan mode on my first suprim worked no problem. Thankfully the fans are quiet and at 30% they are inaudible. Other than that, the card has been incredible.
MSI Surprim X 4090 really is supreme! This card runs 4k resolution games at 120 fps even without DLSS activated. It runs very cool and quiet. It usually idles at 34c and max load is usually around 62c.The BIOS is very power-limited at default settings and there is a lot of headroom available if you want to overclock using MSI Afterburner. It's probably not worth the extra few FPS over stock clocks, as it really gets warmer and pulls a lot of watts. The highest I have seen it reach is about 73c.
For an upgrade above all upgrades, this one should last for several years! It's a beast all around. Cool temps, good build quality, and great MFG. Not to mention Microcenter staff, they will if you the pro's and con's of products and honestly help you buy.
Amazing GPU, no issues, minimal coil whine with mine (can only be heard when putting my ear directly up to card when running benchmarks). With a small undervolt, I am getting top 10% of benchmarks compared to others with similar builds (5800x + 4080).
Probably could have been served well with a lesser GPU but the peace of mind having the best of the best is great.I don't do any productive work, only gaming; this thing will run whatever I throw at it at 1440p at high frame rates; except things that require a CPU upgrade. But if you are running an 8700k still and decided to purchase this, know that likely all of your current setup with a 4090 can handle pretty much any game created to date.
Pricy thing, but it certainly crushes everything. Hogwarts legacy @ 3440x1440 with DLSS off is still 160-190fps. It’s the only game I’ve played that puts the card at 100% utilization.
excellent card besides the coil whine. I had the msi trio X and had some issues and microcenter did there best to get me another 4090 whitch was the suprim X. rund about the same minus the artifacts and has a bit of coil whine. Its not loader then my headset but at this prive I would have thouhjt msi would of used higher end parts so this dont happen.... I am still happy with the card
