Overall I am happy with this purchase! Here are a couple of things that I learnt about the tent while hiking in cooler temperatures with rain and wind. Pros - easy to put up and take down, lightweight, quick drying, non-bendable pegs, cozy, sturdy in rain and wind, comes with extra ropes, comes with useful groundsheet and compression strap to hold everything together. Cons - big enough for 2 people but not quite big enough for 2 people and all their things (large hiking backpacks + other hiking items - especially if it's raining outside and everything needs to be in the tent), vestibule (protected space just outside tent) is a bit small, again only an issue if outside weather isn't ideal. To improve the experience in general, I'll get a lightweight groundsheet or rain-cover for empty backpacks that I want to keep outside. Hope this helps!

+ Super speedy delivery (got it in 2 days on standard delivery) + Super light-weight (my rain jacket weights more :) + Set Up Time: Less than 5mins. A breeze. They fact that all the poles are connected is genius! (so far although I have only been able to set up in my living room) I can't wait to test it out in the wild. Thanks for a great product.

Can't beat the value for money. I use it for moto camping, it packs up small enough and is as light as can be for the price. Enough space for my bedding and my moto gear inside, and my stinky boots in the vestibule. This the second one I am buying (for a friend) as mine has served me so well. Shipping was fast - had it in 2 days. I had one issue with my tent - a pole split soon after I got it, but the team at Nature Hike Africa were amazing to deal with and sent me a replacement set ASAP.

Lightweight and robust. A perfect backpacking tent. Generous netting to keep the weight down, bugs out and great ventilation. The included ground sheet is a nice touch to protect the 20D nylon from abrasion on the ground. One can even pitch the rain fly first to shelter from the rain while pitching the inner. The tent poles are all kept together in one piece by elastic cord. The forked design ensures great stability in high winds. The high hoop allows for good headroom. The 20D nylon on the bottom half of the inner allows for privacy and protection from wind under the rain fly while sleeping
Very quick shipping and everything was packed properly!I didn't get the chance to test it in nature, but I assembled it in my room.First thing I noticed is that the Inner tent and the mat don't have exactly the same size. The floor mat seems a bit bigger. Because of this, moving the tent around with only those two pieces becomes difficult because the mat might fall from the pins, but if you are going to readjust the tent, chances are you will do it before you set the inner-tent, so, in the end, it's not a problem.Other than that, all good! And even that issue, is related to the product. I've seen other comment pointing out the same thing.
I just returned from 12 days on the Rim of Africa where we had extremely wet and windy conditions. My CU2 stood strong and I remained dry. It's light enough for me to carry on multi day hikes. It has a handy hook from which to hang a light or headlamp as well as a small pocket above the door to stash small items you want easy access to. This pocket is also accessible when outside the tent. Another plus is that in warmer months you can leave the tent at home and set up using the flysheet and footprint (which comes standard with the tent). In rainy weather you can keep the main tent dry by setting up the flysheet first and also take down the tent by folding the main tent first underneath the flysheet. I have all my bases covered. Super product.
5 Stars for my overall experience so far based on value for money. I've used this tent from campsite to mountain, and in varying temperatures amp; weather patterns. One needs to be aware of cold ground causing moisture against a warm mattress, but this happens with most tents in this range. Likewise with water condensing through from fly to inner if touched...not an issue if the flysheet is pitched correctly (tighten guy-lines before bed). This is one of the few tents that allows one to pitch fly-first in poor weather, which is a huge plus. That said, if you're planning on using the fly only, I would suggest getting the version with snow valances/flaps/skirt, as this will prevent rain or mud from splashing up under the flysheet. One person with gear. Two without ... More5 Stars for my overall experience so far based on value for money. + Great tent; easy to set up and take down even in high wind conditions. + Used tent in Fish River Canyon on super cold nights and was fine. + Side guy rope hold tent fairly sturdy in high wind. - Could improve pegs by making them longer in size. + additional base mat is a plus
This tent is amazing - the size for my husband and I is perfect, and with a Jimny it is perfectly sized to squeeze in amongst all our other camping baggage. Super easy to put up and take down, quality feels brilliant. Looking forward to testing it in the heat in Pafuri next week. Handled strong wind perfectly. I note 4 stars purely because the waterproofing is a concern, and I cannot give 4.5 stars - I camped for a night in heavy rain and strong wind, and while the roof stayed dry and I remained dry, when I was packing up camp the underneath of my camping mat was soaked (luckily waterproof), and water had seeped through the included ground sheet and up through the base of the tent... Otherwise, well worth the investment, and I look forward to using this on trail as ... MoreThis tent is amazing - the size for my husband and I is perfect, and with a Jimny it is perfectly sized to squeeze in amongst all our other camping baggage. BEST TENT EVER!! I attempted the highest peak in SA in March, a 4 day climb up the Drakensberg WITH TENTS! The CLOUD UP 2 ULTRALIGHT proved to be both the smartest as well as easiest choice. Being super-light accommodated my shoulder and knee which were rehabilitating after a motor cycle accident...and some corrective surgery. I hardly felt the weight and the packed-up/folded-up size is so convenient - it just slips into your bag. The best part of this tent is that it goes up in a flash with all interlocking and connected support poles so even though it rained from Day 2 to Day 4 assembling and taking down was under 10 minutes. It stormed. The wind blew but I remained DRY and warm..... ***** 5-star rating for sure!!!
