Delivered with the usual efficiency of AO. Connecting the machine to the app was a bit of a faff but got there eventually. Coffee samples were missing hey ho so had to wait to buy some oh and supermarkets don’t stock them so it’s Amazon or nespresso direct. Not the cheapest per coffee but you do get a good coffee hit. Shame the cost of the coffee is so high considering what the machine costs but hopefully the price may come down although I won’t hold my breath. Personally I should have gotten a bean to cup machine and used my own beans. If nespresso made a refillable pod then it may work out cheaper in the long run. Nice unit though looks good on the counter top.

Pros: I picked up my machine and was impressed with the overall packaging. Great that it came with a carry handle and well protected inside. Nice touch that you are provided with a range of 12 coffee pods to get you started. Firstly the machine is very good looking and would fit nicely on a high end kitchen counter, I had the brown model which I did not expect much from but it is actually very good looking with lovely copper tones mixed with the black and brown. As you can see the machine is slim (5 in) but it is pretty long (13in) and average height (11.5 in). Definitely something to take into account when buying and living with day to day on the counter. The only bit of the machine that feels cheap is the metal spring bars that lift and eject the capsules into the waste bin. The machine can connect to your phone via the Nespresso app, not really worked out what the benefit of this is necessarily other some assistance videos. The pods themselves are premium as this range is intended to be, they look great with vibrant colors that are assigned to various coffee type and blends. On the whole I would say that the coffee is of a high quality and most people would be more than happy with a cup produced from this machine. Of course taste and preference is subjective so its absolutely great to have received a further range of coffees from Insiders and a glass cup to observe the coffee brew in progress. In particular I enjoyed Altissio espresso pods. So the machine is great and so is the coffee...so would I recommend this? If you drink more than 3 cups of coffee a day than I think this machine and option would not work out time or cost effective for you. I normally use a cafetiere for my daily coffee intake and that is much easier for me where I can control the amount of coffee I use and obviously water. With this you would use 50 capsules within 16-17 days and need to reorder (assuming you are keeping a stock of 50 capsules). I think this machine is a great option for someone that drinks espresso regularly or hosts dinner parties and has guests. My opinion is that this is a great novelty use item.Cons: If there was a 1 year lease option than I would highly recommend it, Nespresso has a sale and subscription option for this which is something also worth considering

Pros: May seem a little expensive at first but be sure to claim your free 100 coffee pods worth £50 and it brings the cost down a lot. Its not clear in the sales literature but you can claim 100 free pods from Nespresso without signing up for their coffee subscription. If their coffee pods seem expensive there are a few 3rd party refill options, despite the obvious design attempt to limit your choice of coffee supply & usage options. Just do some internet research- if you want to use your own brands with this machine- its easyCons: Ejected pod holder/ compartment can fall apart if you hold it by the inner tray when you open to empty it- and that will spill coffee overflow and pod drainage all over the place causing a mess. Pros: I love coffee - always have. As I’ve matured myself my taste has changed to prefer a stronger, less milky cup of joe. This machine is perfect for me. You have a wide variety of types and sizes of coffee available through Nespresso’s pods, to suit someone like me who prefers a long and strong - to my friend’s favourite a sweet and flavoured ‘Barista Creation’. The machine itself is very easy to use, it’s self explanatory with one button to start the machine and a lever to open the machine to insert your pod. It has a good water capacity (about 3 ‘mugs’), and the used pod storage holds about 8-10 dead pods. The machine has a self clean mode, and I’ve connected it to my phone via the app (although with this ‘basic’ model I’m still a little unsure how useful that ... MorePros: I love coffee - always have. The plus side - the Nespresso app is great - I’d definitely recommend that over trying to navigate their tablet un-friendly website. Overall, I love this machine. I’ve had fancy cappuccino makers and I’ve used a cafetière - this is a great mid point between them. Easy, tasty, coffee.Cons: Nothing! I love it!

Pros: - Sustainability is all the rage now and it was nice to see that Nespresso has also taken this on board without compromising on the design or quality. I liked the fact that the plastic parts of the machine were made of recycled plastic. - Let us not forget the design which was what convinced me to buy it in the first place! I think the name 'brown' is doing it a disservice somewhat as it is a very sophisticated hue complimented by the copper parts. - The Vertuo machine automatically extracts the appropriate volume of coffee for the chosen capsule. No more nipping back and forth between the coffee machine and kettle to make a long coffee. It also means that the machine would offer better variety which was great for someone like me who chooses their drink ... MorePros: - Sustainability is all the rage now and it was nice to see that Nespresso has also taken this on board without compromising on the design or quality. It also means that the machine would offer better variety which was great for someone like me who chooses their drink depending on the mood and what food I have to go with it. The extra frothy, thick layer of crema is an added bonus.- With the variety of coffee comes the ability to adjust the height of the coffee cup stand. Granted the normal Nespresso machine also allowed you to fold the shelf but the Vertuo machine gives you 3 possible heights to fit cups in various sizes.Cons: - I am a bit of a clean freak so that I used to always run water through without the capsule after every coffee extraction with my original machine so that I would not have dried coffee in the system. As the Vertuo machine will not operate without a capsule, I can no longer do this.- I sometimes found that the used capsule will not be knocked back sometimes.- It was weird not to have a separate power button.

Pros: I recently received my machine after my old one (from another brand) had decided to give up after many years of service. As Nespresso seem to be one of the premium brands in the coffee machine game, I was really pleased to be able to give the machine a try. The machine arrived really well packaged with a selection of pods to try, and despite being heavier than my old machine, it was slim and chic and incredibly easy to set up in my kitchen. I think the weight of some of the components also shows that you're dealing with a premium product that's been designed to last a long time. The Bluetooth/wifi functionality is a nice touch as it enables you to register your machine and set up a Nespresso account nice and easily. It terms of using the machine, again, it's super easy. You simply fill the water dispenser, insert the pod and lock the machine. You push the button on top and once it's ready to go, the machine goes to work. It takes around 30 seconds all told to make your coffee. If you'd like more water, it's a simple case of pressing the button on top until you have your desired quantity of water and then pressing it again to stop the flow - easy. The machine is incredibly easy to use and can be summed up as fill, insert, push, eject, go. It really is that simple. The machine is also to clean and comes apart quite easily, I just wash the components with warm soapy water and pop back together. In terms of the coffee itself, I've noticed a huge difference with the Nespresso. My coffee actually has flavour! I think what I'd used before was just fancy 'instant' coffee but these pods all have flavour and there's an amazing selection to choose from. What's great is that the pods are all rated according to strength and the Nespresso app gives you great descriptions of the flavour profiles so you can keep tabs on what you like. The pods are generally 45-50 pence each which is cheaper than my previous machine so I'll be saving pennies in the long run. Finally, Nespresso offer a recycling scheme, so for those of us trying to reduce our waste, we can! Overall a great machine and great coffee, I've already bought lots more pods.Cons: One thing I would say is that the auto-ejection of the used pod generally didn't work with any coffee over 230ml and more often than not, I found myself chucking the used pod into the central reservation but this is a minor inconvenience at best.

Pros: This is a cracking product. I've had machines before but this is the first proper pod one. Coffee tastes great and lovely texture. The machine itself functions flawlessly, and has not let me down so far. I love the fact it automatically dispenses of the capsules ready for the next one. The water container holds a lot of water, although I don't like to fill it up much...I prefer to replace it with fresh water every time. The machine itself is fairly average in size for a coffee maker, fairly slender and tall, both well designed and very easy to use. The head on the machines opens and closes very smoothly. Best of all, There's no need menus or dials or manual programming required. Each capsule has a barcode under the rim that tells the machine exactly how much water to use. Handily, if your cup size doesn't match up to the expected size, or you want to leave room for milk, you can easily re-programme each cup size to your needs. Once your capsule is loaded into the machine, simply tap the button, and once it's warmed up, it begins the (surprisingly quiet) centrifugal brewing process. All in all, it takes about 2 minutes to pour a single cup of coffee, hot but drinkable temperature, and with a nice rich crema on top (varying by capsule). It could not be easier. Included is a box of 12 unique capsules, each with ridiculous names, covering the different sizes, strengths, and flavours on offer. I must admit, on first taste I wasn't bowled over by any of them, but I did enjoy a few of them, including Stormio and Melozio. I've since ordered a few batches of capsules, and found a few more I enjoy such as Intenso, and Caramelizio. There were a few fruitier options that left lingering aftertastes I found unpleasant, but that may just be my casual palette, and the fact I'm drinking them. I prefer an earthier more roasted blend, generally speaking. The whole unit feels very high quality. Even the pods feel premium So there you have it really, a gorgeous new machine and fabulous range of coffee drinks in a variety of different cup sizes, it’s just that the coffee pods are expensive If you can live with that, you’re sure to love this machine.Cons: cost of pods!

Pros: Easy / Simple to set up and use. Coffee quality is excellent. Machine bought while on offer and comes with a selection of pods so good value. Also came with recycling bags for sued pods.Cons: Could be better if pods were more widely available. You can only buy pods via Nespresso directly and there is a minimum spend threshold.

Pros: As this design doesn't pierce the pods, you can buy rubber lids to reuse the pods - and there are aluminium pods you can buy for reuse. We have been using the rubber lids for a few weeks now. so no need to buy more pods. therefore more sustainable than many pod machines (that why we picked this one). I assume as it only heats what it needs it is rather energy efficient.Cons: You can't adjust the temperature or anything like that - its all done on the bar code on the pod. Its about 70 degree C - so doesn't keep my hands warm like a coffee made from the kettle does. As there is noting you can twiddle and nothing obvious to change I wonder what would happen if it does start to malfunction - not sure how fixable it is once the guarantee is up

Pros: It's a really easy to use machine, with a wide array of different coffees to choose from, depending on your mood and taste. It's great that they come in different sizes too, you just need to make sure you have the right mug size! It's basically like a barista coffee from your home. The crema is so smooth and frothy and every coffee has a wonderful flavour! It also looks very stylish on the counter top.Cons: Quite a small water tank - the water has to be refilled quite frequently which becomes a bit annoying. It could do with more functionality from the fact that it's connected to wifi. It currently only tells you that it needs to be descaled, or if it's on or not, which I could tell on my previous machine from looking at it. It also goes cold rather quickly ... MorePros: It's a really easy to use machine, with a wide array of different coffees to choose from, depending on your mood and taste. It also goes cold rather quickly once milk is added to the coffee, but that just means I have to heat up my milk separately, which isn't a big deal. The coffee could do with being produced at a slightly higher temperature to avoid this though.
