We are not impressed. We've had the Orbi mesh 6 with a netgear Nighthawk modem. Over the past two months, it has repeatedly dropped signal. We've done all the troubleshooting, including having xfinity come out to check the line to the modem. Netgear won't help because we are beyond the 90d help warranty. Useless! We have the base plus two satellites, which should be more than enough for our 4bedroom home. We have problems with just one tv trying to stream. I would not invest in this product - it is clearly outdated and/or poorly made.

My alarm system and smart thermostat kept dropping. The cable guy would tell me to get a mesh system to solve the issue. After the last episode, I decided to follow their advice. I didn't know what to get so I spent quite a bit of time looking at different brands and reviews. The Orbi by Netgear was consistently given high marks. It wasn't something that I wanted to tackle on my own so I contacted a computer technician who came and installed it for me. It has been wonderful. My speeds and stability have never been better. No more droppage of alarm, tv or thermostat. The cost was a little higher than I would have liked but I wanted the issues to be solved and didn't want my speeds to be compromised. My biggest regret is not doing it sooner.

My 7-8 year old Asus AC router died so I picked up a single station Nighthawk. I have a ranch house, 2000ft up and 2000ft down. The Nighthawk failed miserably, dead spots everywhere. Immediately replaced it with this Orbi mesh system and this thing is amazing. I now get 300mbs in the entire house, even the garage. If you need a new router this thing is fantastc!

The Orbi 750 was purchased for my home as a mesh network using 3 nodes. If I setup the device in router mode it worked PERFECT! Very fast and easy to setup. Strange the IOS client does not configure everything. Have to use web interface. The issue is I needed it in AP mode. I purchased a Firewalla Purple to be placed between a cable modem and Orbi device. When the Orbi is placed in in AP mode, the device resets the WIFI interface every 10 seconds. This causes all devices include satellites to lose their connections. I have worked with Netgear support since September and it still does not work. Over the past two weeks I have asked for a refund since it has never worked correctly. They keep saying they will get back with me but never a call back. Hopefully one day. We have a two-story house that’s L-shaped and pretty spread out. We had some areas with very slow wifi and a number of dead spots. I replaced an old Apple Extreme wifi Router and a wifi extender with a Netgear ORBI RBK753 system.The difference is phenomenal! We have no more dead spots anywhere and in some areas it increased our wifi speed more than twentyfold!!! Response is near instantaneous. On my Mac I get 470 Mbps and on my iPhone 333 Mbps (Mega bits per second).
Recently we had to replace a previous WiFi system for many reasons, but mostly because it was so difficult to setup and maintain its connectivity. This was quickly remedied with our new NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System. The setup was quick and very easy. Coverage has been amazing with just the central unit hub and one satellite. The entire house is covered. WiFi has been consistent and strong with this Orbi hub. The design of the units are sleek and non obtrusive in our home decor. We are looking forward to many years of service from our purchase as this was one of the deciding factors for this brand and unit.

Lack of Parental Controls. I have kids and the Mesh setup means they get Access at ALL times, and to ANY site. If you want to be able to limit specific devices on bandwidth or time or site, like other Netgear products, you will be unhappy.2. No ability to force a device to a closer connection. In most cases, the mesh works very well and everything is fast. The Builder for our new house decided that the coax for internet needed to come into the house in the VERY center, inside a closet and no other places would have coax connections. Because of this, the dedicated ethernet ports on the Satellite meant that I could put the router next to the modem in the closet and connect a switch to the satellite upstairs in the game room. The dedicated 5Ghz-2 connection means that the connection stability is awesome, and very fast for every device in the game room....which is MUCH better than I ave experienced with range extenders and other APs.
NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System is better than advertised. The setup was very easy. My entire home (3200 Sq. feet) is covered from upstairs, downstairs, and backyard deck area with over 900 mbs of download speed consistently. I would recommend this product to everyone who is teleworking regularly, streaming constantly, and with a couple of gamers in the home... Orbi is a must have product. The Bitdefender network security is topnotch too.
Hello,It’s been fantastic having the Netgear Orbi mesh system. For example, there used to be so many glitches and dead spots when I would play games online or even within the same house if my brother and I played on two different PS5 systems, there would be so much glitching. Device hosts a gateway to public WAN. Whether password protected or not, this is not a security conscious decision, especially since it can’t be disabled. Access control also still allows blocked devices on the network and allows them to communicate with devices in LAN. Has had intermittent internet issues since arrival, assumed it was ISP. Was able to confirm it was on our end, but at that point the support warranty had run out so to get any in person support it would be $50 minimum. All around just bad experience and not going to recommend netgear devices to anyone. Will actually be actively discouraging people from purchasing netgear devices. Almost $1000 for the products and can’t even provide support for longer than 6 months without charging.
