Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel Cream - 15 gm

I have very sensitive skin, so I am pretty critical of any and all moisturizers. I grabbed this one since I’m a loyal Hydroboost user, and was not disappointed. It has a lovely scent and provided a bit more moisture than the regular Hydroboost gel cream, but isn’t at all a heavy moisturizer. It rivals Laniege Water Sleep Mask and much better price point. I have added this product to my daily routine.

I used this all over my face and neck and found it helped rid some of the more stubborn flaky dry spots that I was experiencing.The label indicates to use it twice daily, but I only used it in the morning and found my skin stayed soft and moisturized throughout the day in regular weather. I would consider using it twice daily during dry months.After using this line for just two weeks, I found my skin texture had improved and now looks smoother and brighter. I will without a doubt continue to use these products.

After trying it out for a few days here are some of my thoughts about the product.Advantages Chick Advisor had given me the opportunity to try this product out for free in exchange for an honest review. After using it for a few days, I have found that my skin does look brightened, more shiny, silky and refreshed. It has a very gel/cream consistency and is pretty easy to apply. It does take a while to absorb into the skin since it's of a more sticky consistency but given a couple of minutes, it does go in. The product also seems to contain some sort of glitter inside to add to the glow on the skin. I do wish they had toned it down a bit. I also believe this cream more suitable for oily skin types or summertime than winter as it is a lighter cream. It also doesn't match very well with makeup since the foundation kinda covers the sparkles.Overall, however, I think it's a pretty good product to test out and try.

This cream is designed to be used as step 3 of a four-step regime in Neutrogena's new Bright Boost line. With a similar fragrance to the Bright Boost serum - a strong but not unpleasant floral-y scent - this gel cream is a stand-out product for me. My face definitely looked glowing when using this as the base for my regular makeup, which is an effect I like going for when the weather starts warming up. Purchased this and the Neutrogena bright boost serum. I prefer the serum to this gel cream. I’m using this at night with Neutrogena rapid repair wrinkle cream with retinol, and I use the serum during the day under a moisturizer. The texture is light, absorbs quickly, not greasy. I’m not really seeing a brightening benefit yet. Time will tell, only been using it for 2 weeks. Other reviews said the package should be a darker bottle to protect the ingredients. Perhaps this is true and that is why not seeing a brightening. It’s a good value for the size and the price is affordable. My skin is very sensitive and this doesn’t bother me at all.

Hydrating Evening Instant Glow

The Neutrogena Bright Boost Gel Cream is the final product in the Bright Boost routine, and is a gel cream formulated to nourish and brighten the appearance of dull, tired looking skin. Similar to the Bright Boost range, this also has a fragrance and similar to the serum, this product also contains mica to give illuminating and radiant skin. This moisturiser is a gel texture and easily glides onto the skin, massaging to help the absorption. This gel cream however does not feel like it fully absorbs, leaving a slight layer sitting on top of the skin. This does mean that it is not the best moisturiser to use under make up or sunscreen but works well for evening or night use. It is also quite bulky considering it is 50mL. Remember to always use high SPF sunscreen as this gel cream contains AHAs. This is a nice moisturiser to use in the evening or at night and if you want the instant glow but I would not recommend it as a day cream.

Love the way my face feels after use

This product makes my skin feel very smooth, silky and soft. I love touching my face after I’ve used it, together with the other Neutrogena Bright Boost range as my skin feels amazingly soft and smooth. A little goes a long way with this product.The cream slowly absorbs well into the skin and within a few hours you won’t be able to feel it. I like the feeling of a moisturised, smooth, soft face throughout the entire day but unfortunately, I don’t feel this way with this product by the end of the day.There is micro glitter in the formula but it isn’t a problem as the glitter disappears once the product has been absorbed into the skin. I purchase some Neutrogena products on a regular basis and have for years - makeup remover, face wash, SPF15 face cream. I've tried other products in their line and some I like and others I don't. I decided to try this product because it was on sale at Costco. At first I didn't like it. I thought it was too thick and it made my skin feel sticky even long after application. I use it at night (instead of the triple age repair night cream) and under my SPF15 and makeup during the day. Thankfully, it does not feel sticky under makeup. If you're a person that rubs your face a lot the makeup will flake off like pencil eraser bits. I try to give products an honest go, use as directed, and then I determine if it does what they advertise. However after a few says of use, in conjunction with the serum from the range, my skin started to get irritated and I had issues with flakey, breakouts and dermatitis. SO MUCH MICA aka shimmer. The shimmer is rather large dark gold shimmer particles and on my very fair skin it looked like I was attempting my best edward cullen cosplay! WHY?? This meant that if I applied this product in the morning I felt I HAD to wear makeup if I was leaving the house.If they were to ditch the shimmer then I would definitely attempt to incorporate this product into my routine in a way that would lessen any irritation. As it stands, I would not recommend to family and friends.
