Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Pro+ Eye Cream 14G

I used to think it was the area around my mouth that was aging me the fastest, then the lines that have started to set in in my forehead. But over the past year or so I have realized that no, at age 51 what’s aging me most is the puffy bags under my eyes. So I was absolutely delighted to receive this product with retinol and from Neutrogena, a name I trust. I wanted to wait to review it until it had time to work. That said, I believe it has already done enough that I am a believer and will be buying a full size of the product when I run out. Is it out of bounds to admit that, because of the retinol, I just might be using a little on my forehead and around those laugh lines by my mouth, as well? I mean, why not? Have been using for 2 weeks. I don't notice my dark circles getting less dark but I know retinol is good for my 45 year old skin that I have always worked hard to care for. I do use a different retinol serum on my face a few times a week. That, as well as this takes some getting used to. It is not necessarily harsh on your skin but it isn't always pleasant. It doesn't necessarily dry your skin out but you feel it in your fine lines - I suppose that means it is doing its thing. I will continue to use this product until it is gone and may buy it on my own as I really like Neutrogena. The packaging is nice - the pot is a heavier glass with a good lid. I look for powerful ingredients, a nice application experience and something that feels good on my skin all day or night (I do both an evening routine and again the next day as part of my getting ready for the day).

Carton directions do not clearly specify morning or night use but do remind you to protect your skin with "Broad Spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen or higher" if used in daytime. Claims to be fragrance free but there is a scent. Not strong or over powering, but there is one. Claims to target wrinkles dark circles around the eyes. My personal experience with use, unless it can fix the causes of the dark circles, nothing but a good makeup concealer is going to help me in that department.
