Powerful magnification and wide lenses combine to make the Nikon PROSTAFF P3 10x42 Binoculars a great choice for birding, backpacking, sporting events, and much more. The 10x magnification shows you distant details, while the generous 42mm lenses admit ample light for a bright image, even at dusk and dawn. The wide field of view reveals a large stretch of the horizon, so you can take in the big picture or quickly find the object you need to see. The PROSTAFF P3s are waterproof, fogproof, and drop-resistant, so you can carry them confidently on your outdoor adventures. Outstanding Clarity Nikon's multilayer lens coatings cut glare and reflection for sharper, clearer views. Vibrant Colors A highly reflective silver-alloy coating is applied on the mirror surfaces of the prism so more of the visible spectrum reaches your eyes. Waterproof Down to 3.3' Although they're not intended for underwater use, the PROSTAFF P3 binoculars can safely be used around splashing water or in inclement weather. Eco-Friendly Glass The glass used in PROSTAFF P3 binoculars is lead-free and arsenic-free. Better for you. Better for the environment. Lenses That Won't Fog The PROSTAFF P3 is filled with bone-dry nitrogen gas, so even going from a warm car to the cold winter air won't fog the lenses. Turn-and-Slide Eyecups Retract them for use with eyeglasses. Extend them to your ideal position for comfortable naked-eye viewing. Long Eye Relief 15.7mm of eye relief ensures everyone can find a clear, comfortable viewing position, with or without eyeglasses. Tough-Skinned The green rubber-armored body provides non-slip grip and protection from the occasional drop or bump. Hard-Bodied The lightweight body of the PROSTAFF P3 binoculars features strong fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate resin.

I bought these to replace a pair of Nikon Prostaff 7s binoculars. I think these are a newer range and also the model below, but there's hardly any difference outwardly. They're a little cheaper too. They're nice and compact/lightweight and the optics are really sharp & light for the price. The front object lens caps are still a bit of a waste of time as they don't attach to the strap very well so will inevitably get lost.I'll be interested to see how durable they are as the twisting eye cups (for spectacle wearers) on the old 7s gathered dust and eventually stopped working. They got a lot of use though and still work fine if the eyecups are set in one position, which isn't good if sharing with non spectacle wearing users. Good Binos, terrible lens caps!

Really good binoculars, but the eyepiece lens caps are terrible. Cheap, loose fitting, and don’t stay on at all, I had to buy different ones. Case is ok, neck strap is thin.

Great binoculars!

The Nikon Prostate P3 8X30 binoculars are nicely finished, rugged and light weight. They focus smoothly and precisely. The only negative I find about this product is the lens caps. They all should be separate and not so bulky.

Nikon P3 8x30 is just the right size and power to sight deer from the deer woods. Small and light enough to carry around yet 8 power can reach out without all the unsteady shake that can occur with more power. Crisp clean sight. B&H gives a great price, with service fantastic.

[Rewarded Review] Exceeded my expectations
12 July 2024

I own several other pair of Nikon binoculars that we use for birding and other nature activities. I bought these PROSTAFF P3 8x30s as a compact set to take to concerts and other places where smaller, less obtrusive binoculars would be preferred. I own an older set of smaller compact binoculars (by another company) that I have found frustrating to use. I was hoping these Nikons would be a step up.Right out of the box, the PROSTAFF 3s blew me away. They are a little larger and bulkier than I was hoping for. But the optics are fabulous, easy to focus, easy to adjust convergence of images, and clear as a bell. I can't wait to take these to a concert, live show or other event. These may just become my Go-To binoculars.

[Rewarded Review] Optics OK; not a fan of the expanding eyecups
11 August 2024

I bought these to replace a pair of 30 year old Bushnells still in great shape but were left behind when we came back from overseas. I had hoped these would be short, an easy to carry aid when shooting wildlife photos. The expanding eyecups which unscrew toward the user make them even longer. The diopter adjustment are not smooth but go by whole steps which click into place. I don't find the design at all helpful in the field.

I purchased the 8x30 binoculars to have with me when I walk and these are lightweight and very capable binoculars . . They are super easy to set up and are quick to focus and lots of light . . I would buy these again if needed.

The Nikon Prostaff P3 binoculars in the 10x30 configuration are exactly what I wanted and needed, not too big, not too small, not too heavy, great optics, all around just right

impressive
19 September 2022

this is my first pair of "serious" binoculars and I'm glad I've waited so long. the evolution in optics from what was made 10 or 20 years ago is astounding. In 10x30 these are quite light, offer a wide and luminous sight, and great handling with the sturdy silicone all around. well worth the price. I'm not sure what the P7 line can offer beyond this, honestly.
