I bought this to replace my old Cuisinart and am so very happy with it as it is even more versatile than I knew. It works fantastic for my smoothies and now even can use it for the blender and food processor, so it replaced two items for me and the Ninja is an even better appliance. I even looked into the Vitamix but for the price, this is such a better deal. Vitamix has a ton of different mixers and that very confusion in itself….plus the price is so much more. After a lot of research, I went with this and am ecstatic that I did. I just love it and highly recommend it.

Had a different ninja blender before but it didnt support the blender cups. Loved that blender so I got a newer ninja blender to replace it. After about 4 months, i was making a protein shake and went in the other room to check an IM. My office is next to the kitchen. It was on the smoothie setting that shuts off automatically in 60 seconds. I was gone maybe 20-30 seconds and came back to a kitchen full of smoke. Unplugged not sure what happened but plastic melted and almost had a fire. Called shark and reported. Asked if tgese had kniwn issues abd they said no and sent a replacement. Fast forward a few months later and this blender broke in 2. The issue is that is has strong suction cups without a button release. It also sits so low that you cant get your fingers ... Much more powerful that I thought. We've gone through so many blenders over the past several years with my teenagers making frozen smoothies. None of them have cut through frozen fruit and ice like this one does. My son uses the small blender cups to make protein milkshakes several times per week. The larger one, we use at least 1-2 times per week to make a large smoothie with tons of frozen fruit. My daughter also has this very blender at college and loves it. She's the one who recommended it so she'd have it to use when she came home.

Writing this review after using it for more than six months or so, first of all let me say this by saying this is one of the best brands available out there in the market for making smoothies. We prepared countless number of smoothies and made many Indian recipes with so much ease, Great product and worth every penny.I did paid more $ compared to what’s currently available as part of Black Frida deal, still worth every penny. Excellent product and recommend this to anyone looking for a good blender.
I got my Ninja Foodi system last week and have used it just about every day since. The main jar is plenty big for blending larger quantities of food and the stacked blades (removeable for super easy clean up) ensure consistent and fast results. Like other Ninja blenders, this unit has the Auto-IQ system which gives you preset blending profiles depending on what you are making. As always, they work flawlessly. Like other Ninja blenders, this unit has the Auto-IQ system which gives you preset blending profiles depending on what you are making. As always, they work flawlessly. The included personal sized blending cup is perfect for making smoothies and creating perfect blends for smoothie bowls. My teenage daughter loves smoothies and milkshakes and has mastered the art of this sized cup. She particularly likes that a drinkable lid is included so she can go from blender to belly with little hassle. The blade assembly and lid also fit the smaller jar which Ninja calls the "Power Nutri Bowl" which has a nifty twist system that allows you to turn small paddles on the inside of the bowl while blending (or drinking if need be) to move your ingredients off the sides and into the blades. It's especially handy when making sticky nut butters or using less liquid for smoothies you want to be able to eat with a spoon. This unit also comes with a storage lid that fits the smaller vessels in case you need to keep any leftovers. It also comes with a cleaning brush to get into the nooks and crannies of the blades without putting your fingers in peril. I haven't tried making dough in it yet but I intend to this weekend. If the dough blade works half as well as the rest of the system, I'm sure I'll be pleased.
This is a great blender at what I would consider the mid-tier level (low tier sub $75, mid tier $75-$250, high tier above $250).The look is very sleek and modern and the lid has both a nice locking mechanism that has to be closed to start the mixer, as well as a spout to help pour thinner mixes without spilling everywhere. The one complaint I do have with the lid is that its not always really clear when the spout is locked close. There have been a number of times when I thought it was closed but it wasn’t all they way down and it started to leak as soon as I turned the blender on. Luckily it was a simple pressing down on the spout and it closed up tight within a second and didn’t make too much of a mess. Also, the seal in the lid doesn’t spill, but it has a few ... Also, the seal in the lid doesn’t spill, but it has a few layers that liquid does push between. This means that you can fill it with water and a bit of soap and run it to clean it quickly as you change between flavors of drinks you may be mixing for a crowd. However, there will always be just a little residue in the lid which could transfer a bit of flavor. The blender really needs to be washed in the dishwasher or fully submerged to get rid of any flavor or smell.Which leads to my only complaint about the blender’s instructions. It says that its dishwasher safe for the top rack only. The problem is that the main pitcher is too tall for the top rack of any dishwasher I’ve ever used. Typically when a company says this, the issue is heat from the element on the bottom causing things to be too warm and damaging the item. I turned off some of the functions of my dishwasher to reduce the overheating risk and wash it on the bottom rack without problems, but depending on your dishwasher you may have an issue fitting it on the top rack and may be stuck washing this by hand if your bottom rack would damage it.While I didn’t find all the added accessories useful, one thing I love is that it has both a full sized mixing pitcher and a smaller cup sized blender option. Previous to this blender I just had a smaller cup sized blender since 90% of the blending I do is in smaller amounts that just don’t work well in full sized blender. I never really wanted to have two whole setups so I just didn’t get a full sized blender. With this I get both sizes I want without as much space being taken up in my cupboards.I like the cup and it’s a very powerful little blender, but I honestly would have preferred a slightly smaller option as well, but you can’t get everything. It works as well as the $50 competitor that I had before so I don’t really have much of a complaint there. It also comes with a smoothie bowl cup. This is like your normally cup with an insert that rotates as you turn the dial at the top. The idea is that it keeps thicker things from sticking to the sides and top just above the spinning blades. If you’ve ever done a thicker blend in a cup blender and had the experience where you get an air bubble around the blades and have to stop it to tap down the contents and restart, then you know what I’m talking about. The cup works well to keep things blending, but it doesn’t scrape really closely to the sides so you still get a little less mixed stuff stuck around the edge. I think this works really well if you just need something knocked down until its blended enough that it can use the force of the spinning liquid to pull stuff off the side, but if it’s truly really thick, you still really need to pull it off and shake the cup and restart your blending. I consider this one more of a gimmick than anything, so I wouldn’t pay a bunch more for just this cup but it has its uses so I like that is was thrown into this set.The full sized pitcher is where the blender really shines. The standard blending/chopping blade has 3 levels of blades running up the blender. I noticed that this really helped to keep things moving and blends quickly without the air bubble around the blade issue. It also really helps chop things like a food processor without getting a large hopping veggie that dances above the blades. This lets it really chop a lot like a food processor instead of getting a mixture of juice and oversized chunks like I did with other full sized blenders that only have the since layer of 4 blades that you see in lower end blenders. This is a real plus since I think I can get rid of my food processor and use this instead which saves me a bunch of room in my kitchen. The blending is also really powerful. I’m not much of a smoothie fan, but the few I’ve done worked great and the end result was smooth without any chunks or strings in it. The obvious trade off is that this is actually a fairly loud blender. I know all blenders are loud, but this seams to be louder than most. Its powerful enough that it blends quickly so its not loud for very long, but if you have any special concerns about the volume of your blender, you may want to try it out first to see if you are ok with it.I’ve been doing a lot of slushy type drinks. My kids love it when I fill the blender to ice, then add a few scoops of country time powder mix, then water to fill in the gaps of the ice. In just over a min we have lemonade slushies that rival any professional ones you would get in a 7-11 or other convenience store. Despite it being almost completely ice, the blender never stalls, sticks or jams and never has any indication of any trouble reducing large cubes to slush.I even had one night that I forgot to thaw a can of frozen concentrate juice. I just cut a slit in the side of the can and unwrapped the frozen juice and added it to the blender with some cold water. The result was a completely blended juice that was a little slushy and a bit foamy, but by the end of 10 minutes it sat while my kids were finishing setting the table and getting ready to eat, the foam had settled, the ice had melted and the juice was perfect without having to worry about thawing the concentrate out first. They give you a dough blade to mix baked goods. I decided to give it a try to see how good it is. This I think is also a bit of a gimmick. I first tried zucchini bread from their recipe book. It was pretty awful. I gave the mixer a benefit of the doubt and tried banana bread next from one of our family recipes. It was ok, but not great. The blender just mixes things too much and the dough blade doesn’t get in there right so it needs to run too long to get it fully incorporated. The end result was just over worked but it did an OK job. We tried cookies and it worked ok, but it does a pretty small batch and you have to mix the chocolate chips in by hand at the end anyway so it wasn’t work the effort in my opinion. I still need to try a yeast dough to see if something that is supposed to be kneaded more will work out better, but again the size of the blender is relatively small, so I don’t know if it will be worth it. I may find more uses for it in the future, but as of right now the dough blade will probably just stay in the cupboard.Overall I really like this blender and would easily recommend this to a friend.
I have only used it a few times so far and it performs well for smoothies with frozen berries, peanut butter, flax and coconut water.I did also use the chopping blade for recipe ingredients and it worked well for onions and peppers. One complaint:The small smoothie cup with built in blade- I added a protein powder to my smoothie and it ended up not blending well, then got clogged in/under the blades. Unfortunately, on that cup you can't remove the blades so it was really difficult to clean- I had to soak it for multiple days and finally it came off on Day 3 of putting soapy water in & using the blend function to release the gunk.I previously owned the Ninja that had buttons vs. the turn dial and I liked that one better. This Blender is best one I bought .Auto-iQ is a versatile and powerful addition to any kitchen, designed to handle a wide variety of blending tasks. It’s easy to use and clean. The Ninja Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ is an excellent choice for those seeking a powerful, versatile, and user-friendly blender. Its performance, ease of use, and durable construction make it a valuable tool for creating a variety of blended foods and beverages. If you’re looking for a reliable blender that can handle both everyday tasks and more demanding recipes, this model is definitely worth considering.
I’ve heard many great things about these types of blenders; to be able to make a quick shake/smoothie, not have to wash a large container and be able to drink right out of the container you blended in seems smart and convenient. The unboxing experience didn’t go so well, as I pulled the product box out of the shipping box, the bottom opened up and all the contents spilled out. Seems like the cardboard box is a bit on the thin side and the way it was folded into itself didn’t support the weight of the contents. The Foodi Power Pitcher system includes many accessories, 3 mixing containers:- Power pitcher, this is the normal large (9 cups) size blender container. This is a nicely designed container, the lid needs to be locked in place to disengage the safety mechanism before the blender can be turned on. The lid has a gasket around it that forms a nice seal and also features a pouring spout.- Power Nutri cup with spout lid: this is the container used for smootie drinks- Power Nutri Bowl with storage lid: I wouldn’t really call this a “bowl”, its more of a shorter, wider Nutri cup. It has “paddles” that you turn to move large items around as you’re blending so everything is blendedIn addition to the containers, included are carious blades:- “Hybrid edge” blade for the small containers- dough blade- Chopping blade. I think the chopping blade is where the “Ninja” name comes into play! It features 6 super sharp blades! Be careful cleaning this, you can easily get cut with it…ask me how I know.It also includes a cleaning brush to clean off stuck-on ingredients. After getting acquainted with all the accessories and figuring out what each does, I was ready to make a smoothie. I filled the Nutri cup with the frozen fruits I wanted, locked the Nutri cup into place and picked the “Smoothie” function and let the machine do its thing. The blender finished running, but the drink wasn’t all mixed thoroughly, it’s my fault as most of the ingredients I put in were frozen and I didn’t put in enough liquids for it to blend properly. Added more liquid, pressed the program again and voila, a nicely blended smoothie!Test #2, smoothie bowl: my wife made a smoothie bowl using the Nutri bowl cup, it came out really nice. The paddles definitely helped with the results, see the results in the attached photo! This is something she probably cannot do (at least not easily) with our current blender, a Vita-Mix.The blender has a nice, clean look to it, the program that I’m running “Smoothie” is lit up and easy to read, while the other available programs are dimmed. There’s also manual mode, if you need to control the speed yourself. I like that the blender has suction cups on the feet so it doesn’t move while it’s on. The Velcro strap on the wire is a nice feature. You don’t know how many times I run around looking for something to tie the cord with on various appliance!Compare to my current blender, a Vita-Mix, the Ninja Power Pitcher system is nice because it has pre-programmed options as well as different sized containers. The versatility alone makes it much more useful, for us anyway. I could go order smaller containers on their website, but what I would spend if more than this Ninja system. My son (12), who makes smoothies frequently, also loves this Ninja blender, the unit is lighter and the smaller container is easier for him to clean.Overall, we really like this Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher, there’s nothing I could say we don’t like about it. I wish the included recipe book had more smoothie recipes in it, but I guess it’s meant to be a sampling of recipes to demo each of the functions the blender is capable of.
The blender itself works well but - I know the instructions say it’s dishwasher safe but DO NOT PUT THE PITCHER IN THE DISHWASHER! I don’t know what happened but the black portion of our handle shrunk and now the lid won’t go on anymore.Unfortunately we received ours almost 2 years ago as a registry present from Bed Bath and Beyond, so we ended up having to buy a replacement pitcher which costs $80+ after shipping and tax. It’s just so unfortunate that a supposedly good blender would do this. We barely got any uses out of it.Lesson learned I guess.
