I needed a jump starter & expected a suitcase or at least 'carry-on' sized pack for my 4.4lt TDV8 vehicle, what I got was a power-pack that will fit in my glove box which started my engine after 10 seconds of attaching to jump terminals... I still cannot believe how small & powerful this thing is! Highly recommended (& you can charge mobile phones & other devices) all from this mighty pack that recharges from a USB socket. No more waiting for call out or juggling vehicles into a position - just two crocodile clips, 10 seconds later you're away. Brilliant kit. My advice, get one!

The battery on my ford Kuga has issues. I felt sure this wouldn't jump it, the Kuga battery is truly huge and this thing is tiny. I called Halfords to see if it didnt work would they do a refund, yes we will was their answer.Charged it with a 2amp usb in about 4 hours. Read the instruction while it was charging, nothing complicated really.Connect it to the battery, press the button, start your car. I was impressed, it started immediately.

This jump starter got me out of a pickle with my modern classic - a beautiful 1992 BMW 730i. I'd accidentally left an interior light on when I locked the car, and the next morning I was locked out of the car. The E32 BMWs have electronic door locks - if the battery goes flat, you can't open the doors to access the bonnet release or get to the battery, which lives under the rear seat. But there's a trick - you can still open the boot, and from there you have access to the lights which illuminate the luggage area. Pop one of those out, connect a charger and you then get enough power to be able to unlock the car. Only my mains-powered smart charger wouldn't deliver any power because the car battery voltage had dropped so low that it wasn't detected. My regular jump ... So I pressed the magic override button, and the car's interior lights lit up like a christmas tree. I was then able to open the driver's door with the key, and open the bonnet. Once open, I connected the Noco to the jump starting terminals (the actual battery is under the rear seat, not under the bonnet) and after letting the power flow for 15 seconds, I made my first starting attempt. The car's engine burst into life and I was able to drive it about to put some charge into the battery. After a 20-minute drive, I returned home and put the car on a proper mains charger to charge the battery fully. The Noco can't fully charge your car battery, but it will give you enough power to start your car even if the car battery is completely flat. I own a number of older cars, and I'm now considering buying one to keep in the boot of each car as you never know when you might be stranded by a weak battery.The Noco Boost also featured bright LED lighting so that you can see what you're doing, and it can act as a power bank to keep your smartphone and tablet going when you can't charge from your car's power. I'd recommend this one over the smaller and cheaper GB40 because all of my cars have 3L+ engines and the extra capacity will give me a reserve in case the car doesn't start on the first attempt, or in cold conditions when being stranded is even worse!

A small giant regarding performance in doing its job.It’s something I won’t use very often but when I do it is a god send.nothing worse than jumping in your car and it won’t start because of a flat battery.Surprised howcompact the product is and the performance that it delivers .fits nicely in my glove compartment for when the occasion arises when I need it.Very easy to useOverall a great product at a good price.
After trying several battery jump packs this is the first one that would actually start my car after the battery was drained to the point even the keyless entry fob would not unlock the doors and interior lights would not come on. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the carry bag it comes with is complete inadequate. I ended up using an old bathroom travel bag, the ones they sell for men's shave kits, to hold everything it came with. Oh, and the vechile I jump started, an electronics laden 2007 BMW 328xi.
This lithium ion based battery in a compact package works well to jump start your cars dead battery. The NOCO GB50 (12V 1500A) comes with its own detachable one foot long compact cable which can be connected to the positive post on the car battery and any metal part under the car hood adjacent to the car battery. Once connected and the NOCO unit is turned on, it indicates in a few minutes when to crank the car. Totally fool proof and simple to use. You will be ready to roll in less than 5 minutes. As an added bonus, it has a 200 lumen (bright) LED lamp integrated with the unit which is handy if you are stuck in the dark. The price paid ($130) was a fabulous deal.
How can such a small box start a large engine with a completely flat battery? - I've had problems starting my car after being left for a few days so I wanted a solution where I'm not reliant on getting a jump start.After reading other reviews I chose the GB50 and can say I'm impressed! Fully charged it started my car on the 3rd attempt (the battery was completely flat). It's not a cheap item but way better than being stranded somewhere with a flat battery - I'll be keeping it charged and in the boot.I also bought the official NOCO case - not cheap but it's a high quality item which has space for the leads and will keep the product safe, clean and tidy.
I bought this on Saturday, sealed packaging, charged it fully overnight. Looks well made & thought out, a bit pricy compared to others but if that’s what a good product cost - well.4 days later my ride on mower just fails to start, great I can use my Noco GB50. Unfortunately it just makes a clicking sound and cannot be put in manual over rice either.Indications show battery is fully charged but my 12v mower battery voltage is not increased. Switched off checked connections & tried again - no good, tested on two good vehicle batteries it just clicks. At this price point you expect quality control, product looks great, advertising = great but not working. Just lucky I found out it was faulty at home rather than stuck in a car park with an expensive paperweight.
Well it’s not cheap at £160 and annoying it doesn’t come fully charged but it’s an amazing bit of kit. Turned my diesel van over first flick and as a power bank it should charge a phone several times. Handy hint is that if your battery has virtually no volts you have to press manual override for a few seconds before this will supply juice. Hence: read the instructions. The LED light is also a nice touch and you get a nice bag to carry your new toy in.
Overall a good robust product. My car stands for long periods in between short trips, therefore the battery does not really get a full charge. do not have the facility to leave it on trickle charge, so had to plan my outings ahead. putting the car on charge for several hours, to make sure it started, especially in the winter. This product negates that need, if the car does not start, I use the Jump Starter and within minutes its ready to go.My only negative observation is that whilst the product is robust, the plastic covering the crocodile clips is easily chipped when attaching to / removing from the battery terminals.
