Oakley Holbrook XL Matte Black Sunglasses

Went back to Oakley after trying other online prescription sites to save money. My husband loves these and so glad I spent a little extra because I know these will last. They fit his larger head well. 😊 These are durable, comfortable, great looking glasses. Highly recommend!

Get what you pay for... low start reviewernees to do there research

So. I've been after these for just over a year. But couldn't justify paying £135 (plus) for themGot these from very with a 10% discount paying £104.(less then same on oakley site)Yes you get what you pay for. And what you pay for here is great lenses that actually protects your eyes. These will also enhance colours making every look clearer. Un like a cheap pair I have that look like Holbrook but are not. They just make things darker.One review says there made out of plastic. Yes. But it's a harder but light plastic. Un like cheap glasses that are just plastic.Plus if you wanted metel ones. Id been looking at upgrading my sunnies for a while and looked everywhere for the cheapest price. I came across Great Southern Sunnies when I was searching on google and was sceptical at first as Id never heard of the company.I decided to give it a go and so glad I did! Not only were the sunnies almost $80 cheaper than Oakley, but they were also shipped express with postage and I had them delivered within a couple of days!The packaging was flawless and the product is amazing. Will definately be referring GSS to all my friends and family and will be also be purchasing my next pair from them too.

Great so far, can't go without them

At first I was looking at Spotters or Tonics, however, having recently bought Oakley Holbrook reading glasses, I thought I'd try Holbrook sunnies.These Holbrook XL are great for my boof head and they're light but sturdy. I've never had a pair of polarised sunnies before so wasn't sure what to expect. I haven't been out on the water yet, but as soon as I got them, I wore them for about 5 hours of driving and the difference they make are phenomenal. Driving without them just sucks now. Hard to compare to Costs Del Mar

They are good, but not as good as my Costa tuba alleys. I thought I needed an XL but it's slightly too deep and as a result, the bottom part of the lenses rests on my skin of the bottom of my eyes, tiring that area out the first day. I'm fairly used to it now.The frames are cheaper plastic. My Costa tuna alleys fit better and offer premium products.

I own a few pairs of sunglasses and have to say.. though there is a price difference between these and Costa Del Mar, I feel like these feel so incredibly cheap.The construction: cheap frames with OK lenses.Polarization: actually quite good, though the color is poor. These do a great job at cutting brightness down and reducing glare.Style: Very nice looking, huge fan of the "look" but with all the other issues I'll be returning these.Overall: Oakley to me has always been a staple of nice middle of the road sunglasses. Unfortunately this quality for the price is absolutely insane. They're incredibly cheap feeling! Product name is incorrect, not polarized

I bought these thinking they were polarized Holbrook with larger lens. However I noticed reflections are not minimized like they are when I wear my polarized raybans. So I investigated the model number on the inside of these glasses. The model number is OO9417-2259, which is the version with a Prizm lens and not a Polarized Prism lens. Also I noticed the item is priced correctly for the non-polarized model. Nonetheless if you don’t mind getting non-polarized sunglasses these are great.

Style and functionality

Trust in Oakley, love the feel and fit of Holbrook. One minor aspect when using away from general wear is no nose grips so sweat does build up and glasses do move around. Dark prism lenses do pop the greens of the course but need a few mins to adjust your eyes to the red tinge and then back to normal when removing. No issues tho, it’s a nice change up.

not too impressed

Just got these in the mail and was so excited to open the package of my first Oakley pair of sunglasses. I was looking for sporty, polarized sunglasses and thought I can’t go wrong with Oakleys. Well, I wasn’t too impressed. First, they didn’t come in hard cover case, but just a cloth carrying case and no tags or anything. Maybe it was a return? For the price and brand, I felt these aren’t worth it. They feel cheap like gas station sunglasses with the Oakley brand on it. My Quay sunglasses seem to feel more expensive. I’m debating to return or keep. I do like the fit as I have a large, round face and they fit nicely. I do like the lens color although I expected them to be reflective.
