Oakley Holbrook XL Sunglasses Matte Black / Prizm Ruby

So this is supposed to be the darkest lense. Not convinced BUT lovely clarity and the polarisation really makes a difference in bright sunshine. Had a pair with Prizm Jade and I preferred those for general use but these in bright sunshine are awesome.You should go and try the different lenses in a shop but in bright sunshine first.These are perfect driving glasses and in bright sunshine take all the glare away.Not as dark as my old black iridium lenses but better clarity.Price wise no surprise with Oakley but o really like these and the fit for a fuller face spot on!

I got this same colorway in the Prizm polarized. Best lenses ever. Makes life seem like it's in HD. Colors pop more, especially greens. Some may think $200 is too much for sunglasses. But for something you wear everyday and look thru all the time I say go for it. I love mine. If you have a big head like and sunglasses hurt your head, get the xls it solves the problem.

Different Lenses

I have another pair of lenses. I purchased a while back that I don’t use as much and my gray polarize got scratched. I bought as whole new pair. So I decided to get these rose tinted lenses because I like them to drive with them when the weather gray or snowy just like a pair of snowboard goggles. When the lens is very necessary.

Don't believe it, they're not polarized

The listed said Polarizer. So I ordered them, waited several days eagerly waiting to get them in time for my birthday vacation just to see that they advertised polarized and they are not polarized. Clearly not marked on the lenses. When I returned them all the sales person said was "yea, they definitely aren't the polarized ones, but we have them for about $80 more, you're getting a $123 credit so you're almost there. What the... (never again will I trust the listing)

Good but over priced

I've never had a pair of Oakleys before but I heard they are good so I wanted to try them out.Overall they are very good sunglasses. I wear them mostly while driving and they do help a lot. I like the color of the lenses and they fit my face wellThat being said I do think they are over priced. The qualiy of the plastic frames desn't justify the cost, for example the plastic that Raybans use is superior.It also didn't come with a case which is obnoxious. Even a $70 pair f glasses from MVMT comes with a nice case.So to sum it up, they are good and I like them but I also wouldn' buy them again

Great so far, can't go without them

At first I was looking at Spotters or Tonics, however, having recently bought Oakley Holbrook reading glasses, I thought I'd try Holbrook sunnies.These Holbrook XL are great for my boof head and they're light but sturdy. I've never had a pair of polarised sunnies before so wasn't sure what to expect. I haven't been out on the water yet, but as soon as I got them, I wore them for about 5 hours of driving and the difference they make are phenomenal. Driving without them just sucks now. These do a great job at cutting brightness down and reducing glare.Style: Very nice looking, huge fan of the "look" but with all the other issues I'll be returning these.Overall: Oakley to me has always been a staple of nice middle of the road sunglasses. Oakley Holbrook XL OO9417-08 Black Ink / Prizm Ruby Polarised Lenses

These glasses are fantastic, I've been wearing them everyday since I've gotten them. They fit my head which is hard to come by as my head is rather large. As for durability I'm rather impressed. I accidentally scratched the lenses by hitting them on a concrete wall and all the damage that was sustained was a small scratch on the lenses. Very happy with my purchase. Would buy another pair in a heartbeat.

Oakley Holebrook VS. Costa Rincon

I own a pair of Costa Rincon with the 580p deep water blue lenses that I absolutely love. My new go to sunglasses are these Holebrook XL’s for my daily use. Man! The prizm P deep water lenses are amazing and have a crisp pop on color. The fit is perfect for large faces and big heads. I highly recommend both the Costa Rincon and The Holebrook XL put I have to say my new favorites are the Oakley’s.

They're ok - a few reommendations.

I like the lenses - easy replacement. Clarity is good, sometime a little too opaque which makes it hard to see in the afternoons. These are delicate lense and I found with my initial pair that they scratch very easily - it would be nice if they held up against the rigors of sports, work, and everyday life life the industrial safety lenses do. Maybe a rendition in glass would be good.
