OGX Locking + Coconut Curls Air Dry Cream 6 oz

Love this spray!! It works well as the last step in styling and setting hair for the day. It provides hold without making hair crunchy. I know a few gave this bad reviews but it sounded like they were trying to use this as a curl refresher which it is not… essentially it’s a hairspray for curly hair. I took off one star because the bottle is somewhat small for the price. However you don’t need a lot of product. If you are dousing your hair with this then you need a different product. Has a great smell without being overpowering. Again this is a finishing spray to hold your style in place not a curl definer or refresher!

I have frizzy, coarse, dry hair that tends to curl in the worst way, but only on the right side. The hair on the left side of my head is usually a little more behaved, usually. I purchased this looking for a way to tame my right side hairs while hopefully getting the left side hairs on good behavior. In my opinion this worked, but only after using quite a bit more product than I prefer. Luckily, it does not leave your hair stiff or crunchy at all. It feels lightweight and just lightly defined my curls instead of making them super curly. I will definitely repurchase, as I've run out of it already and it hasn't even been 3 weeks! Not the bottles fault for being skimpy but mine for using way more than I probably need to.

Doesn’t hold the curl

This stuff doesn’t hold my curls. It actually straightens my hair. I have thick shoulder length wavy/curly hair. It even took the wave out of it! It looked nice the day I applied it but by the next day, my curls were gone! It actually looked like I straightened it! I have it two stars because it smells nice. If you want your curls to stay more than a few hours, this isn’t the stuff.

FINALLY A PRODUCT THAT WORKS

I have wavy hair. If I take a shower and try to let my hair air dry during the day, it never works out well for me - it loses all volume, the parts front half of it falls straight and frizzy, while the underneath parts at the back of my head will stay bouncy light and almost curly, in wavy ringlets. Usually the only way to let my hair air dry so that the result is equal waves all around (like extreme beach waves - just before "curly") is by washing my hair at night, and then going to bed with it wet. Then when I wake up, beautiful loose curls/beach wave supreme. But with THIS cream, I have a chance of letting my hair air dry during the day and the waves staying! I'm so glad I read the positive reviews for this because those are what convinced me to get it. My hair is a mixture of thick coarse wirey hairs, and super fine soft ones. I have PCOS which has affected m hair thickness and texture over the past 5 years so I have to be gentle with it - but I still have to wash it every other day, if not daily because I have an oily scalp. I also have to use a lot of conditioner cause my hair goes to about mid-back, and when it's that long, the tangles are impossible to get out when it's wet. BUT THIS CREAM DETANGLES IT. See the real trick to my hair is that I could never really comb it after a shower, because it would kill the waviness and just make it limp and frizzy. But if I put this in it (and I put a really good amount alll over), an comb it through with one of those cheap big tooth plastic detangler combs, I'm all set. I love this stuff sooooo much. OH also the smell IS GLORIOUS. I'm so happy I have finally found the one hair product I have been searching for, for years. I hope it is NEVER discontinued.

It's a keeper!

I bought this and used it. I immediately loved my results and thought "this is what I have been looking for all along!". But me being me, I went on to experiment with other products and put this one away. Well I decided to try it out again and I immediately remembered that this is what I have been looking for the whole time!!! I have now just about finished up my second bottle and I will definitely be repurchasing (forever). This stuff is moisturizing, but not overly moisturizing. It was made for air drying which is what I do most of the time and it is a one and done product. It isn't going to give you "perfect polished curls" but more natural looking curls with a little fluff but not in a bad way. Love this finishing mist!

I bought this to bring the curls out in my hair. I sprayed it on my hair and it's so lightweight! It works great. I can use it a few times in between washings. It's not sticky and makes my hair smooth and soft bringing out the curls. It has a nice smell to it as well. I am definitely happy with this product.

I have thick, wavy hair that has gotten more and more curly as I've gotten older. My hair has the best curls air dried after being in a large body of water. I've tried many different products to keep replicate this. I finally found it! This product doesn't weigh down my hair and maintains my curls! It even works on my husbands hair that is thinner and curly! Must buy!

It defines my curls, has a light hold, no crunch, and give me volume. The only problem is, it seems to now smell bad? I recently purchased my third bottle and I noticed it doesn't smell as good as it used to. It has an almost chemical/plastic smell to it. I thought maybe it was just my bottle so I went to the store and smelled the others and they all smelled like that. I may try a different store, I'm hoping it was just the batch at my store. If that is a new smell or something, I don't know if my love for the results can outweigh the awful smell. Not effective for me

I have very curly, fine, frizzy hair. It is resistant to most hairsprays but I always need something for taming and hold after I put in leave in curl product. This did not tame what so ever or help keep any curls shape. It was just sticky by the end of the day, so brushing it out is a pain, and for no benefits. I'll probably be going back to aussie brand non aerosol curl jojoba spray for now, it did more.

Surprisingly good! Soft + volume!

This stuff surprised me -- it's simple, good, smells nice, it's not fussy.....essentially takes your hair's natural texture, wave pattern and.....let's it do it's thing without interfering much. Strange way to describe a product. Here's the deal: I have long, fine (fairly thin) hair. It can be QUITE curly if I "coax" it a lot (layer on leave-ins, cocktail creams and gels, diffuse for an hour, that sort of thing). BUT -- I don't want to spent 90 mins on my hair. I want to spend 5 minutes and let it air dry. I've been on the hunt for A SINGLE PRODUCT I can toss in towel-dried hair, let air dry and have "reasonable"-looking hair. Not amazing curl enhancement, but some small amount of volume. It doesn't so much "change" what my hair does so much as it "stays outta the way" and allows my hair to be wavy, beachy, it feels like there's NOTHING in my hair, there's ZERO cast, no-product feel, but definitely adds some volume and softness. I was *QUITE* surprised. Was looking for something to replace a Very Expensive Brand that gives you 5 oz of something that you'll tear through in a week. This seems to fit the bill. No heat required, some gentle definition, plenty of volume and hair that FEELS LIKE HAIR. Will be experimenting with using different amounts of this, but I'll definitely re-purchase. It "does a little, very well." Allows you to work WITH your natural hair, without requiring a lot of effort.
