I need to take 2 full scoops to even get the 770 calories as opposed to the PRO Gainer by optimum nutrition which is just one serving. Not to mention this thing was hella sweet. I started off using ON Pro Gainer and absolutely loved it. I ran out quick and didn't order more in time so I grabbed a bag of this at a well know nutrition joint. The bottomline is that you are getting the calories you need but you need two massive scoops to get what you get with ON Prog Gainer with just one scoop. This bridged me to my next bag of ON Pro Gainer that I just got from bodybuilding.com the other day. Again bottomline is you get what you need but you drop down in quality some what if you are used to using ON Pro Gainer and with this you can save a few $$. I would do it again if needed but I am in bed with ON Pro Gainer, love it.

The way you can tell what the primary ingredients of anything are by seeing what are the first couple of ingredients listed at the beginning of the product. Most gainers have maltodextrin listed as the first ingredient which spikes insulin levels in the body and really isnt the highest quality carb source to consume in a gainer. Good tasting, high-calorie mass gainer that isn’t packed full of refined sugar. Half of recommended serving is enough for my needs so value for money is decent. Would by again. Only downside is that it’s somewhat hard to mix. I use a blender and even then have to be pretty thorough. Imagine a hand shaker would be difficult.
I bought this product after using their pro gainer a few years back, wanting something with healthier carbs. Had to buy the vanilla cuz the rest were out of stock. I think something happened to the batch or something because it tastes like metal and I get sick as a dog after every time I even try to drink it. Have to drink 10 bottles of water after and lay down for a bit, a waste of money!

It's got quality ingredients and I feel the best when I take this after my workout. I usually do half a serving immediately after a workout and then another half serving a little later in the day (but let's be honest, 2 scoops for this is nothing compared some others where it's 4-6 scoops just for ONE serving), and that's been working out just fine for me. Truth be told i love it flavor wise. I usually make a brownie our of it in a microwave in 50 seconds. I like the profile. And isolate as main source with malto as least to enchance the absorption. However, i just finished mt 2nd 10lb bag and i was lean but ir didnt help me enough to put some pounds, sure maybe i was eating less than i need. BUT, iam perfectionist and precise when it comes to nutrients. Its pricey for its price. I figured. I can hit same amount of nutrients and calorie ratio with real food and less cheaper. But if we are talking about flavor and profile wise. I love it.
