I tried all of the 4 flavors of the protein powder. I found that the unsweetened is my favorite. I can blend this in my Vitamix with my morning smoothie and it is easily lost in the mix.The remaining 3 sweetened protein powders are too sweet for me. The vanilla and vanilla chi can be toned down by adding other ingredients like: almond butter, fruit, nuts, and oats. Something to consider when adding some of these extra ingredients to reduce the overly sweetened taste of stevia, is that now it isn't going to taste like it was intended. This could be a minor difference with nuts or oats, however, adding fruit changes it more dramatically. There is good news regarding that as well they informed me recently that they will be changing the sweetened protein powers to use monk fruit instead of stevia. I am eager to try the product with the new sweetener, and hopeful that it is to my liking.

I have tried a lot of protein powder supplements and haven't liked them. Gritty, undissolved chunks, strange aftertastes...yuck. BUT... Ora Lean is GREAT! Superfine powder that blends in water easily, a vanilla chai flavor that reminds me of my mom's snickerdoodle recipe, NO sugars or stevia (which I hate). I can now easily add 21 grams of protein to my day at 120 calories of CLEAN ingredients, all vegan. Pea and rice protein, fruits and vegetables included in the blend, and 100 mg of digestive enzymes per serving. It's terrific.

While looking for a new protein powder, I looked carefully for a clean protein powder because I was worried about heavy metals. I add this powder to my oatmeal every morning, with peanut butter and flaxseed. I love the taste. It is chalky, but I like the chalkiness in my oatmeal. My non-vegan, whey-loving protein husband also likes this protein more than his usual whey supplement. This protein powder has been great in helping me meet my protein requirements. The only thing I don't like about it is that the container is small, so I'm constantly running out and having to buy more :)

This is the only brand I will buy: Ora Organic Vegan Protein Powder. Why? Because it blends perfectly with any other ingrediants you like when prepping your protein shakes. I buy the unflavored option. If I hanker for chocolate I will add raw cacao. If I want vanilla I keep vanilla beans in my pantry.There is no chalk, no after taste ....nothing but what you created! Whatever flavors you enjoy. I use water or I'll use a non-dairy "milk" like flax or hemp for the EFA content.I love to add a frozen banana and some almond butter, or strawberries or blueberries. This vegan protein powder just blends right in. I am extremely satisfied with this company's organic vegan protein powder. I've tried others and they were chalky and unpalatable. IMO Enjoy!
Ive seen other reviews about the texture. Its super fine not gritty. Will not bind like other powders because it doesn’t have GUMS added. Which is a GOOD thing. Those are terrible for your gut so if you care about that you will like the lack of gums added. All organic ingredients (major plus!) and all of the super foods and enzymes added are great for health. Digests well. I actually feel like this is a health drink thats also a protein supplement. No bad after taste. I blend with Ice, water and about a cup of berries and it’s delicious! Maybe try making a smoothie like that if you don’t like how it tastes on its own.

I’ve tried lots of vegan protein shakes. Ora makes the very best of them all! You can just tell the minute you open the container. Not only is the smell so much fresher, but the actual powder is so fresh, the consistency of it is unlike anything I’ve ever had before. I can honestly say that it’s the BEST protein powder I’ve ever had. It tastes great, it given me clean energy, and never, ever sits in my stomach weirdly or uncomfortably. Excellent product. I am vegan for 7 years and I am still nowhere master at cooking protein choices, so replacement was sooo much needed. My healer advised me on animal protein I-5, but I just couldnt make myself to take it, although I was about to fall apart. My friend did 2 days research online to find for me the best vegan option. It is pleasant, not like other stuff I tried in past, disgusting powdery taste. It cut my food intake in half, made my brain work well again and my muscles started to form back itself (no gym here). I did get muscle testing for 1 more organic vegan protein (which was failure and tasted horrible btw), sooo happy to keep excellent ora protein instead. My body is 100% happy with this, even advised daily intake is spot on, no more, no less, ... MoreExcellent product. I pealed sticker from it as I like as little visual clutter as possible and plant to reuse them to store pasta, rice and other in them. Cobalt blue glass bottles cost up to $100, I have regular glass bottles but once light gets through, freshness turns into expiry fast track. This is a wonderful product. I used to run a healing center in Florida and I highly advice this based on my knowledge and wisdom... the only better option is to learn ayurvedic mastery in the kitchen, so no pressure, I can take my sweet time to get there while enjoying my life stress free about falling apart. Here is how I make the smoothie every morning and it is quite palatable...2 scoops of ora unflavored, 1 tbs powdered peanut butter with 1 cup of water and a tsp of vanilla extract in the vitamix or a high powered blender...then add ice, a banana, I also add chia, flax, and hemp seeds...blend again and drink.One container is good for 20 servings about 1.70 each serving...but for me - it is my breakfast and that's not bad. Also it's worth the peace of mind that I'm not drinking something with heavy metals.

There are times when I want to supplement the amount of protein in my vegan meals with a little extra and then I am able to easily measure out a single scoop of protein powder to add to my almond milk. I like the vanilla flavor. It tastes good. I am caffeine sensitive, so vanilla flavoring allows me to drink this protein powder even at night without worries that it would keep me awake the way chocolate would. The biggest drawback is that I don't find the Ora Protein mixes in to my almond milk that great, even with an electric blender. It also has a somewhat chalky texture.
