As good a budget 5W in-vehicle UHF radio as I believe you can get, even when mounting space is not limited. The rotary squelch is very welcome (as opposed to the limited number of fixed squelch levels that are usually found in smaller UHF radios), as is a 'real' mic cord attaching plug & socket. The mic cord is also like a mic cord should be. On-air performance is good. I'd recommend adding a small horn speaker to your setup if, like me, you like driving with your side window open, as the RX audio is only just adequate in that situation. Well done Oricom. (Y)

Nice little unit. Easy to operate and read. Some of us have dicky shoulders and need reading glasses so it is fine. Rotary controls always preferable compared to touch buttons or screens. Not used much. Got them in case 2 cars travel together. Love the customer service and the 5 year warranty. Awsome :)

Omicron 80 channel CBs work just fine. Installation into my Prado was pretty straightforward, and took my amateur skills just a couple of hours to do.

Was given an Oricom UHF030 as a birthday present at the end of 2019. Installed into my car and the screen was just displaying gibberish. Called Oricom support and was able to return the product without a receipt. Was about to send off the UHF but thought I would have another play with it and it worked fine. Next day turned it on again and back to gibberish on the display. So took video of what the display was doing, called Oricom again and Matt the rep that helped me got me to send him the video and sent me out another UHF there and then as he new he would not be able to fix the one I had. Thank you Matt. Awesome customer service.
I snagged this when it was on special for 99 bucks and what an absolute bargain. Easy to install (i soldered it to a 12v plug) and is simple to use. Clear as im running a 6gbi antenna and is more than enough for it. And take note... its 80 channel not 40 !! Wicked!!
Easy installation. Well thought of kit. Easy to operate. Very happy with it.
After I bought my Hilux, the first thing I wanted was a UHF radio to go in it, why not every ute I have ever owned I've had one. The mice got into the box of my Uniden so I sold it and of to Supercheap they sell above board gear so I will get it from there. Big mistake buying Oricom I never even heard anyone speak on it. I'm never buying oricom ever again...
This unit was a cheaper alternative to many other units that I considered, it is compact and basic in its design and functionality, but also effective and easy to use/install. The unit is an older style, and an auto squelch control feature would benefit the product but all in all a great unit! Very happy with this product!
got one last week..all I had to do was unplug my broken GME and plug this one straight in..love the old school manual squelch and the old school interchangeable mic..because of where its mounted the priority buttons on the mic are brilliant..seems to be receiving from a lot further away too..Over all.. very happy so far..
