This was a lovely birthday gift from a friend after telling him my skin was suffering with a harsh winter. I was so glad to receive this moisturizer my dear friend was sharp on the choice. Andrew Weil for Origins. Dr. Weil is a well know Doctor that is very knowledgeable when it comes to health and well being. The mega mushroom relief resilience moisturizer is a light lotion that comes in a plastic bottle ( glass would be even better) with a pump. Definitely will use this year round

I purchased this a couple weeks ago, thinking it was actually more like a serum. Oops! That being said, the formula is so light and absorbs so easily that I do use it underneath my regular light moisturiser. I have a deep crease right by my right eyebrow, but it is much less noticeable now! I can't find a before picture unfortunately, lol butlemme tell you, the after pic included is like a night and day difference.You don't need a lot so you definitely get your money's worth! The scent is amazing to me, very earthy and also medicinal. Noticeable until it's absorbed into your skin.

Dont be scared by the mushroom!

Honestly? I turned my nose up at this thinking the mushroom would leave it smelling earthy, i judged it based on the word mushroom! I got a small sample when i bought a different product. So i tried it (while pulling yuck faces). Well, i got a shock, it smells good and its a lovely light lotion. I have sensitive skin, oddly this is the first time ive felt my skin relax after putting something on.Its a good size bottle, a bit goes a long way, so i find myself doing my face, neck and decolletage without feeling guilty. I use this as my everyday use, i have the mushroom face cream for when i need a bit extra

Immediate Breakouts. Don't bother.

This thing completely messed up my skin. Ive used this moisturizer for about a month and I have breakouts all over my face. This is the only new item/brand that I've used, so I feel like it has to be this. I got this because it said it was good for redness, but I'd rather have red cheeks than acne all over the place. I haven't had breakouts like this since I was in high school. Very disappointed. Also, this moisturizer is a cream, but I didn't feel like it offered that much hydration. I'm reverting back to my gel-cream/gel formulas and hopefully I can get this acne under control in the coming weeks.

It works

So I had been using this on my face. I don't remember for how long but I didn't really notice anything. And it was put in the cupboard for quite a while and I got the idea to use facial products that I was not using on my hands. I am 53 sun lover so I have some crepey wrinkles on my hands (lovely .. haha) I started putting this on the top of my hands. Eventually I started noticing why do my hands look so good? It's this!!!  the top of my hands are so much smoother and moisturized. They look so much better I could not believe it! So now I am back to using it on my face and my hands!

I have been using some of the Mega-Mushroom products for years and I have always loved them for my mild rosacea. This weightless "emulsion," which I received as a complimentary gift with my last order a few months ago, is the exception. I like that this is lightweight, but it doesn't do much to control redness; the original "soothing face lotion" is much more effective for me. Also, it seems to be affecting the texture of my skin. Not exactly breaking out, but my face isn't as smooth as it normally is. Finally, like others, I'm not a fan of the scent. I don't mind the earthy, herbal scent of the other MM products, but this is different. I'm not even sure how to describe it: like glue, maybe?! Anyway, I would not choose to purchase this product. I used it alone for two weeks, massaging the watery lotion or swiping it on like a toner, and I didn't notice any reduction in redness.It does reduce and prevent flaking. On the other hand, this actually worked for me. My nostril area and my chin (which is the only area I have breakouts) always tend to be flaky, but are now smooth and hydrated thanks to the Mega Mushroom Lotion. A week before I tested the lotion, I used a glycolic acid cream to exfoliate, so I was the flakiest face on earth, and the Mega Mushroom Lotion really helped in bringing back the smoothness. I found it to be best used (10-20 minutes) after a glycolic cream to act as a sort of barrier of protection when the acid does its magic.It truly does hydrate the skin. It does hydrate my skin well. Nowadays, I prefer it as a follow-up to mud masks and acids because of the soothing this brings.

I tried the Mega Mushroom collection (cleanser, toner, serum and mask) in a collection a local cosmetic store were selling in the Black Friday Sale. This collection has honestly changed my life and my skin. I have rosacea across my cheeks, chin and forehead and quite dry skin to accompany this. However, these products have changed my skincare forever. My skin is so much noticeably less red - I've even had people at work mention how good my skin was looking! My dry skin is pretty much under control even with the colder weather. Three pumps of this is more than enough to cover my whole face well. This dried me out more than I already was, sadly.

I have used Dr. Andrew Weil in the past, and had great results. As with so many other products I've tried since the pandemic, this is just not for me. My skin is dry and sensitive, and this dried my skin out more. Also, you will see your skin age while using it as it contains no anti aging properties. For some reason, every single product I try with hyaluronic acid is horrible to my skin and breaks me out. It's hard to find any without it. This also contains a lot of essential oils, so beware. I just cannot recommend it.

Used in my everyday routine!

As a first time user of this brand, I was worried about how my skin would react to the formula because it would often break out when I try new products. The first week after using this I have noticed that my skin has looked healthier and more hydrated because I have incorporated this product into my routine. As it is described, it is definitely weightless because it doesn’t even feel like there is anything on my face when I use it. I personally DONT notice any scent to this product which is good because I am sensitive to strong fragrances. Overall, a very great product that I highly recommend and I love using it!
