This is one of the best graters/zester I have seen yet. Very handy little gadget, it shreds perfectly and the removable zester is convenient. It has a soft comfortable handle that's easy to grip and a non slip base that helps prevent slipping or sliding while grating. You get stainless steel medium and coarse grater, and a slicer that are extremely sharp. I use my grater a lot for shredding cheese. Also, having the removable container is super handy as a serving dish on taco night. I have many Oxo brand items in my home and I have to say they are always of great quality. I highly recommend that you get you this grater, you won't be disappointed and probably won't need to buy another one again.

I bought this after my original grater bit the dust. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long. Another grate product by OXO! ;) I love the removable zester. This design also seems easier to clean.

OXO products are always high quality and this zester/grater is also. It fits well in my hand and because it is surrounded in silicone, it won't slip on the cutting board. The snap on cover is nice and keeps the stainless steel blades protected, but mainly your fingers when reaching in the drawer. This zester/grater gives you a fairly fine grate (perfect for parmesan & citrus zest). If you want a larger grate OXO has a similar grater with larger holes. It would be awesome if OXO could come up with a design that gives you both in one tool. The good news is that they are not too large and don't take up much room. And It’s Dishwasher Safe
This grater is a great addition to the kitchen. No more scrambling to find the perfect container to put your shredded or sliced cheese into. It has the container attached to it and a lid to cover.I love how the zester detaches for the small cooking jobs, that way you can just set it over the dish it needs added to instead of trying to pickup the little pieces to add. The handle is very sturdy and easy to hold onto. I love how everything is slip proof on the bottom of the grater as well as the removable storage. The removable storage container is also a measuring cup, making it easier to know when to stop grating a product for a recipe.
If you're just using this to grate cheese coarsely, then I wouldn't bother as it's too pricey.. If you're continually grating cheese, parmesan, carrots etc, and zesting limes, lemons and oranges, then it's brilliant! The zester is like no other that I've used in that one swipe is all that's needed, and the zest stays in the green bit, which you can remove on its own. I don't particularly use the box underneath as I like a large stable base, but it's useful for measuring. I think you're paying for technology here, as even though they are all really sharp, I haven't grated my finger once!

I’ve had this grater for a couple months and it’s proved itself worthy of the price. I absolutely did not know how much I needed an attachable container at the base to catch shredded items, but I can’t live without it now. It also grates harder cheeses such a parmesan easily and efficiently. Great buy!
I love when I have kitchen tools that are just so practical, and this OXO box grater is just that! As a box grater, it works really well, but there are two attributes that set it apart from the others. First, the fine grater removes to become a zester- what a great addition! Love this feature. Secondly, the cup attachment at the bottom of the grater actually works to catch the cheese, so prepping is super easy to do. It even has a lid so you can cover and refrigerate. It’s high quality that I expect from OXO! Would definitely recommend this to anyone searching for a new grater!

I love that it has the different grating sizes around it. My favorite part is that it comes with the little plastic measuring tub that connects to the bottom and will catch things as you grate them without a hassle or mess. Once your done if you have leftovers it also comes with a top so you can close that little plastic tub and save what you grated for later. The removable zester is really nice also for when you need it because it’s all right there in one mechanism. It’s really easy to clean and get to since it does have the opening where the zester is and also the bottom.
