Recently purchased; working well. Door mechanism seems to work better than my last Panasonic which stopped working due to door latch fault…fingers crossed.

We like the new microwave (it is similar to our old microwave), but we noticed that the door doesn't swing open all the way by itself. The door hinge seems to bind a little at 3/4 of the way open, and you have to manually push the door to be fully open. Annoying, so can't give it 5 stars.

My old microwave (same model) was 15 years old when it gave up the ghost. I was very pleased to find that Panasonic still makes the same microwave and is available on the market. I didn't hesitate to buy my replacement from Wal-Mart as the price was good.

Hard to review against what you don't know as the microwave it replaces was 30 years old. I love it and it is faster and more powerful. Buy one that is an inverter. Nice looking and has and does everything I need so far, been a month. Buying from Walmart was a price issue only, the associates are never pleasant and always seem lost never knowing where the item is to retrieve.
The microwave arrived in a quick delivery to our local Walmart center in a short time. It took no time to pick the microwave up at our store. Pleasant staff. Machine works fine and fits well with our kitchen decor.
glass broke while cooking as per instructions on package of food. I have cooked the same food hundreds of time in previous microwave no problems I have owned microwaves for over forty years and never had the glass break. This microwave was only two months old and panasonic will not cover cost of replacing glass or replace Will not buy panasonic again
I have a Panasonic microwave that was bought in the early 1990's and it's working fine. Unfortunately my newer Panasonic microwave stopped working after about 12 years. I had a Denby replacement, and it was GARBAGE. Even though it was similar wattage, food would take longer to cook than it should and the heating was very uneven. I couldn't take it anymore and bought this Panasonic instead. It is so much better. It some cases it heats the same food in less than half the time and it heats much more evenly. They definitely get something right that others don't. Maybe it's their "inverter" technology, I don't know, but I really notice the difference when I use a different brand. Panasonic microwaves just work better.
I am so happy with this microwave. If it is anything like the last one I got that is like this and from Panasonic it last about 30 years. Last one does not owe me anything. lol Just received today and love it.
Oven is more powerful than older one. However, the reheat sensor should be the same (it depends on the sensor to detect doneness). You have to be careful with this reheat sensor as it makes it very hot (too hot).
I love the sensor for cooking but this implementation has 14 different types of foods that you rotate through by repeatedly pushing the sensor button. It just displays the number and gives no feedback about what it is. This is completely useless. No one is going to remember what all 14 numbers mean. It's more confusing if you have two different items to cook. I bought this when my old one died a few months ago but this implementation is so bad I'm going to give it away and buy something else when I redo the kitchen next month. Do not buy this product.
