Ive never used paste pots before, I usually use curry powder and make things from scratch. I saw these and thought Id give them a go since theyre coeliac friendly. Oh wow, what a revelation! A beautiful curry in about 15 mins (if your chicken is already cooked). Ill point out that this is not the fully creamy coconut type of curry youll get from Westernised Indian takeaways (I found them too rich and sickly anyway) but it makes a fabulously fragrant curry - I was very impressed with it. Even my Korma loving partner said it was nice.

Makes a lovely Korma. The Masala pot is also tasty and worth a go. I followed the recip on the box, the only thing I changed is that I added both pots to give the dish more depth of flavour. Best " off the shelf" instant Korma curry we have purchased! Creamy and delicious and so easy to make! NB it needs a decent can of thick Coconut Milk, IE - Blue Dragon.

Even my mum, who absolutely loves Indian chicken tikka masala, said it was really nice.

Yes it has a vinegary taste because its a madras paste and madras has vinegar in it.. Honestly people if you dont know your Indian food dont comment. These are delicious. So easy to prepare and the balance of spice is just right. Tip- after you add the water from the empty pot, spend some time reducing it down. Will give you an amazing sauce .
These paste pots make a great curry - I follow the instructions and make with chopped tomatoes, veg and chicken. Always tastes great. And it's great that it comes in two pots - when cooking for two people you don't need as much as some sauces give you, this is the perfect amount and makes meals at 2 times
I don't know if there was a mix up in the factory, but the box and the pot both were labelled Korma. However it looked, smelled and tasted exactly like the Tikka Masala paste. This was definitely not Korma though. It was too hot for a start, and definitely did not have any coconut in it.
Our kids have left home and our usual jar of curry sauce are just too big for the 2 of us now. So these paste pots are perfect. It’s just the right amount for 2 people, and you can cook it up in less than half an hour, which is far quicker than ordering a takeaway. A definite winner in this house!
I am so glad I came across this. Bursting with flavour! All you need to do is chop up an onion, some garlic and ginger, cook until brown, then add this in! Add a bit of water and then add your meat / veg. Near the end, you could add in some cream / coconut milk.
Excellent product for those days when I a little lazy and don't do everything from scratch. I used this for the first time last week and already ordered two more. I added more spices - jeera garlic and ginger because my family like it like that. Even without the addition I would rate this product quite highly. Being Indian myself I endorse this as authentic.
By far the best ones that Patak produce! Heat up some coconut milk add this to it and boy you have got a delicious sauce! Gluten-free as well which is always a bonus, and also only 1.9 g of saturated fat per pot which is a lot less than other brands!
