Bought this before going to Yosemite knowing that I didn’t want to have the camera in a backpack in which I was carrying a lot of gear, nor flipping around on a traditional strap. It held a A7iii with 16-35 f4 or 85mm 1.8 solidly. Kept the camera super accessible. It’s the usual peak design quality, namely excellent. It has a lock on the quick release mechanism so it can’t pop out. As it was my first time using this I “backed up” by having the PD wrist strap looped into a carabiner on my backpack strap, and this allowed me to bring the camera to eye while still having some mechanism to secure it. This was probably unnecessary.Highly recommended.Of note, you WILL have to use the hex bolts for anything thicker than a belt so take the Allen key with you or set up ... This is a very nicely made piece and much more practical than other similar items. My only complaint is that while it does indeed Include a "Standard Plate, which works with most Arca-type tripods," it is particularly small and the mount will not work with other Arca-Swiss style mounting plates. Disappointing. On the other hand, when you are shooting tripod free, it is terrific! Absolutely no question about it, it is very well designed and manufactured.

Beautifully made, as I expect from Peak.Just a joy.
Costa Rica demands a camera to appear instantly when you need it. My clip was on the Peak Everyday Backpack sometimes, and on the Peak 10L Sling at others.Super easy to grab my camera and get the shot. Rugged enough to never worry me climbing Arsenal Volcano. The backpack mount provided easier access, but the Sling was lighter. Switching between the two took about 2 minutes.
I am always impressed by the build quality, durability, and attention to detail that is put in by Peak Design! Highly recommend all of their products!
Its fab! Something so discrete yet so strong. Ingenious idea!
Allows for easy access to my camera on hikes as it can be attached to my backpack should strap.
They are an improvement over the original, being made of a far lighter, but equally solid metal, and committing the screw that allowed one to adjust the clamping force (which was really more a problem than useful, as it would get turned accidentally, and make it difficult to either insert the camera, or remove it, depending on when the accidental tightening happened). And the choice of silver colour makes it a nice match with the almost equally coloured fabric of my Peak Design Messenger bag. However, the omission of the tightening key, and only giving us a bolt that requires a hex wrench to fasten the slide to the camera is a step backwards, as now you have to make sure you keep the hex wrench handy. This is especially a problem with one of my cameras, which has to have the slide removed in order to access the battery door.It is possible to "canibalize" the tripod socket screw from the ol slide, and insert it into the new, so that's a "fix", but shouldn't have to be needed.
OMG! i love this. my hands are arthritic, and this clip saved me from hours of pain. it's brilliant
