I've been using Phillips Hue bulbs for many years and overall I'm a very happy customer. However it's no secret that the earlier generations of Hue bulbs struggled to produce basic green and blue colours.I read that the new Bluetooth GU10 bulbs have addressed this so I bought one as a test and replaced one of my older generation HUE GU10s. The difference was immediately obvious - the new bulb produces vibrant greens and blues. Can't go past Phillips hue, I'm a massive fan of these bulbs, even though they may be a little pricey.

The prior gen GU10 HUE had major issues including being simmer and the colour consistency was inaccurate so even though you had the same bulbs at the same colour temp there were wild swings to various hues.I purchased 8 of these new-gen Hue and I returned 1 which was inaccurate and not the same as the rest. I have also noticed that the quality of light is nicer. These newer lights have a more pleasing natural look which I put down to less flicker. Finally Philips has partially got their act together.

The shape of the globes have changed and now don't fit in the light socket without modifying the socket
