Pretty amazed how well it did, considering the longevity and wireless factor.Overall.. It's a very solid product and I would certainly recommend it to family and friends who need a tool beyond a standard razor blade.

My other main gripe is that Norelco didn't include a power brick with this, just a USB-A to double prong cable. Again, I've used Norelco products exclusively over the years and something I appreciated was the standard 2-prong power cable worked with all their products. Now, with this thing, the placement of the 2-prongs is different, so I can't use the 3 Norelco power cords that I have. I don't have a USB outlet in my bathroom and don't plan on dropping the $50 to add a GFCI certified one in my bathroom.So when I need to charge this thing, I leave it on my nightstand, using the same power brick that charges my iPhone.With those 2 issues out of the way, I've actually enjoyed using this trimmer. It's a small trimmer that is strong and versatile enough to go from trimming a beard, edging my mustache under my nose, trimming nose hairs, you name it. I'm probably not the target market for this product because I really don't need or use the hair attachments.

I received my Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 a couple days ago and I’m really starting to like this razor. It has a lot of pieces, 19 tools and accessories to be precise. It actually made me read the instructions just to see what they recommended each tool to be used for. Which by the way has a large enough print that I can easily read it. I ... MoreI received my Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 a couple days ago and I’m really starting to like this razor. It has a lot of pieces, 19 tools and accessories to be precise. It actually made me read the instructions just to see what they recommended each tool to be used for. Which by the way has a large enough print that I can easily read it. I appreciate that!Upon receiving my new razor the first thing I did was set it to charge overnight. Once it was charged and ready to go I tried out something I have never used, the nose hair trimmer tool. I have no experience to compare it to, but it seemed to work pretty well. It was very comfortable, no grabbing of hairs or anything. So I’d consider that a win. Now onto the main reason I wanted this razor, a beard trimmer. I have been sporting a goatee for a while and this device worked quite well for a quick and easy trim. When using it without a guard I got a level of closeness I would expect. Of course not smooth like a shave, but close enough for me. Next was to choose the guard to trim the hair I actually want to stay on my face. There are a few guards to choose from but the one that lets you dial in the length of the trim from 1mm to 3mm in .2mm increments is my favorite. Later that night I took the razor into the shower (it’s waterproof) and went to trimming up some other body hair and again, it all worked quite well. Then to finish my testing the next day I slapped on the proper blade and guard to buzz my head and once again, a very smooth and comfortable experience.All in all I really like this device. It’s versatile with all its accessories, lightweight and waterproof. And even though I just got it, reading other reviews suggests its battery life is excellent. Other than a travel bag that perhaps left me wanting more, I give this razor high marks across the board. Well done Philips Norelco, I’m happy to give this razor a 5 star review and I would absolutely recommend it to a friend.
The trimmer itself is very good! It does a great job of trimming my beard and is easy to use and fairly quiet. It is a little bit heavier than previous trimmers I have used but I take that as a plus. The weight is not a problem as the way the trimmer is designed makes it easy to use. The design, and the materials used result in what should be a more durable longer lasting trimmer than others I have owned. I did have one issue with one of the 2 adjustable guides breaking. It was the smaller of the 2 that come with the trimmer and is black with a bright green trim length selector. It broke and when I called customer support to get a replacement they said they had to charge me for it even though I purchased the trimmer earlier this year. Not having a beard, I wasn't able to fully test out the myriad of applications of this compact, rechargeable groomer. However, having previously used prior appliances, I can definitely say that this is a definite notch above of the former contenders that I have used.This is quite well constructed, has a premium feel to it. It is recharged using a USB cable (included) without burdening you with yet one more outlet charging brick, which I already have a drawer full. I applaud manufacturers for not including wall outlet chargers, that just add a bit more electronic waste to the landfill. There is a fabric drawstring stowage bag included that groups all the accessories together for travel or stowage in the cabinet.This model (the middle level of the 3 that Philips is offering) comes with a variety of attachments that is a bit daunting at first glance, but once you use it a time or two, you gain a familiarity with them, and there is some color coding (black, dark grey, light grey) that groups them to the clipper head that goes with the guards. Three clipper heads (extra wide, normal, and precision) are easily interchanged with a secure, but not stiff or difficult to exchange, finger lift. Even if you had a degree of hand arthritis, it should be easily accomplished.My biggest complaint was that the markings for the series of guards is almost impossible to read. It is stamped on the base of the guard (see photos) that requires the right angle of light reflecting off the matte versus shiny surface to read it. And magnification is a big help, but using in the shower (which is actually encouraged in the instructions) means that probably you don't have your glasses on, and no magnifying glass there in the shower stall with you. My simple solution was to use a Sharpie to mark the size or usage on the bottom of the guard. That works very well for the grey guards, and luckily there are only a few black guards, where the Sharpie would be invisible on the black plastic.In the past, using (for example) a nose hair trimmer that ran on a single AA cell was a one-trick device that was certainly better (and safer) than trying to use pointy tipped scissors. But even the Panasonic, "wet/dry" model really sat in the drawer, until the alkaline battery leaked and ruined it.There are eyebrow trimmer guards, which decreases the bush-iness without giving you the scalped spots, which is a perfect result, in about 10 seconds. This is far superior to using the “sideburn trimmers” that are a common addition to electric razors, which excel only at a straight vertically aimed margin, not the desired effect for one’s eyebrows.The body hair trimmers worked fine, not a particularly difficult task, for who really sees the margins. But avoiding the prickly stubble is a definite plus.All in all, a fine addition at a reasonable price to one’s grooming armamentarium.
