never seemed to mix thoroughly. Spray was thin and lacked rubber content, as if it was still stuck in the bottom of the can. Did not work correctly. No plastic just black paint. Worked exactly like a can of black spray paint. The stuff stinks to high heaven until it's dry. It failed to provide what I needed and was a total waste of money. The ball inside would never move freely when shaken, as if there was a large clump of plastic content that wouldn't mix. Total failure.

Ive used this product many times. it removable spray paint. I recenty bought a pathfinder that was completely brown and wanted to see what some black would look like on the front and trim to see if i liked it before a permantly paint. Gas will remove this product quickly. The glossifer would help if i wanted to keep it on longer and shiny but $30.00 for 1 can was out of my budget. Still a great product. Left a view pictures.

After the Plastic Dip dries, you're left with a coated surface that looks like it was painted. The best part is if you have second thoughts on the finished results, you can easily peel the Plasti Dip off, and be right back to the way the surface was beforehand. The Plastic Dip certainly spruced up the rims on my old Jeep.

I have used Plasti-Dip in both spray form and dip container and heretofore have been extremely pleased with every product and the results it gave. This container and or product is not like any product before. Very tjhin, worthless spray and texture. After seven ,yes 7 coats I finally went and purchased a different product to obtain the results that I normally have received from Plasti-Dip. One bad product? I certainly hope so or it will only be a short time until they are out of business otherwise.
GLOSS BLACK IS GARBAGE!!! Don't be fooled, this is still a VERY flat black paint and has absolutely ZERO gloss to it whatsoever. The only difference between it and the regular black plasti dip is that it levels out a bit better and is a bit "flatter" and doesnt have as much "texture." Given that our neighbours south of the border are paying less than $10 per can, and I just forked over **$34.99** for the same thing with a deceptive and misleading product offering, this is SUPER disappointing.
I was very disappointed with this paint. I used Blaze Blue on plastic motorcycle fairing. I followed the directions on the can. I was expecting the paint to be somewhat textured, but it looked very uneven, depending on the angle of the fairing, and almost furry. Once dry I would run my hand over it and small rubber bits would rub off. I had also used Glossy Black on another part. It's not glossy, but applied better than the blue. Also textured, but not not the same furry stuff. I left the black paint on the fairing expecting I will likely repaint it in the near future. Removing the blue paint was a massive project. It did NOT peel off as claimed, and because of its rubbery texture it doesn't sand. If you follow the instructions on the can, you will get a rough textured finish that looks like crap. Unless that is the look you are going for, but it isn't going to be on a car. In particular, DO NOT hold the spray can 15-20cm away from the surface. This works for normal spray paint but is wrong for this heavy rubberised paint. You have to hold the spray can very close, within 5cm of the surface and spraying side to side, in order to get a smooth finish. I had to rework the first section I painted before I had learnt how to apply it properly. It is bizarre that the company making this product has no idea how to actually apply it.
Many years ago, plastic dip was actually a dip and thick enough to form a protective rubber-like cover on whatever I used it on. The spray version says to apply 3-4 coatings is all. Barely touching the surface after four coats would remove the coat, (that was no thicker than a coat of paint). I applied another six coats and STILL had no effective “rubberized” coating. The spray version is not worth the money I paid for the product
This is a great product for covering decals on your vehicle. I used it to black out the badging on my all black truck and it works great. Super easy to do and took around 1.5 hours with most of that time being waiting between coats. I have been through 4 or 5 car washes and have directly sprayed water on the emblems and the plasti dip stays looking great.To apply to vehicle emblems I:1. Cleaned the area (I got a car wash) and then cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth.2. Taped off the area with paper and painters tape (I used frog tape and that brown shipping paper that comes in some packages)3. Shake the can vigorously for 1 minute to make sure it is all nice and mixed4. To peel I like to pull away from the decals, not straight up or over the decals, and the plasti dip will automatically tear off at the base of the decals.
I bought one of these to help coat some foam clay prop projects during the holiday season and so far, so good. I bumped into many objects (not intentionally!) and no creases or tears so far! I'd say it's a affordable alternative to Flexbond.For the love of everything WEAR A RESPIRATOR. (I was wearing one, I forgot to attach the filters.) Doesn't matter if you're outside or in a well-ventilated area, this stuff is STRONG.
