Proactiv+ Plus 89 ml Pore Targeting Treatment (90 Day/3 Month)

I actually tried this product on accident. I usually use the original moisturizer with Benzoyl Peroxide but it was sold out so they sent me this one. Although this is not a moisturizer I still use it as my last step. I like how lightweight It is and how quickly It absorbs into my skin. I have been using it twice a day and It has not dried my skin out at all. In the mornings I’m surprised how I wake up and my skin looks matte - like literally not shiny or oily at all! I will continue to use it. It contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide and It has helped flatten some bumps and even bring some to the surface. I have also noticed that my complexion looks a lot more even.

I love this for keeping my acne prone skin completely clear. It works better than anything I have ever used. That being said, it is made with benzoyl’s peroxide and it will bleach your towels and pillow cases and sheets potentially. It is a good value as it lasts at least 3 months - you only need a pea sized amount. I use once daily. I started using three times a week.

This product was received for free from Influenster for review/testing purposes. This product helped my acne. The active ingredients are benzoyl peroxide in the first two, and salicylic acid in the third. I was happy with this as a periodic acne treatment but not as a skin routine. This is marketed for sensitive skin. As someone with sensitive skin- the wash is a gritty one and it suggests massaging for 1-2 minutes. It’s on the very upper end of what I’ll use on my skin. Benzoyl peroxide products are drying in general. I found I couldn’t use the products the recommended amount. Maybe once a day for one or two of the products. The moisturizer is very lightweight. I will continue to use the products periodically with modifications for my sensitive skin!

I was super happy to receive this voxbox and hopefully rid myself of this acne once again, Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Over all it did work when used daily. I had less active breakouts. I really liked the exfoliating scrub it left my skin feeling fresh and clean. I did use a better moisturizer on tip of the 2 that are provided with the kit because they were more drying with the active ingredients being benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. I feel like this is a product you would have to continually use to see any benefits.

Proactiv is on the harsh end of benzoyl peroxide treatments. Before jumping into Proactiv, try a few standard drugstore BP products as a control test to see how your skin reacts to BP in general. If those bring improvement for you, but it’s not enough, then this is the big guns. I used to have severely oily skin with cystic acne. My biggest breakouts occurred on days I forgot to wash my face with a cleanser. Looking back now, I know I had all the signs of predominately bacterial acne. Even with staying hydrated and moisturizing, my skin was so oily I could soak through a quarter of a pack of oil blotting sheets in one go. Thus, I wasn’t afraid of a harsh, drying product like Proactiv. Best thing to happen to me

I know a lot of people talk down about proactiv and say how bad it is for you but I have literally tried SO many high end and drug store products and nothing works for me quite like proactiv does. Proactiv is a life saver. I have been using it for years and have minimal acne. One or two here and there a couple times a month now - mostly hormonal. I used to have breakouts all the time - not where my whole face was covered but I got several whiteheads and deep cystic acne on different areas of my face throughout the month. Like my chin/jawline, forehead, hairline...it was absolute awful! Painful and not cute!! I now have fairly clear skin. So it does not get rid of everything, but it DOES get rid of larger sized acne. You cannot expect it to work in a month, or two - it may calm it down in that amount of time, but it get the cycle to clear you need to use it and use it and use it. It is not cheap! I use a 3 month supply of the face wash (exfoliator) about once a month or every month and a half. I use the 3 month supply of the serum in about 3 months. I wear makeup so I wash my face a little more often than what is supposed to be needed I guess. The face wash takes makeup like no other, its great. I can even scrub my eye makeup off with issue. Be aware to not put the serum near your eyes or your eyebrows though because it will lighten them (and you pillowcases!!!! Or clothing!). I have brown hair so if I put it on my eyebrows they get a brassy tiny to them! LOL. I want to add that I do not use the moisturizer that comes in the kit. It just did not work for me. But this stuff will dry you out so you need to user something. If you find that you don't like the moisturizer I highly recommend Tatcha Water Cream! I have never found another moisturizer that I can use without it breaking me out. Amazing combo

Could be more intensive…

I find that this dries out my skin to the point where I get a “5 o’clock shadow” of flaky skin. I had to start steaming my face in the evenings to combat this! Since using this series, my skin is smoother, and that’s a great start. I’m hopeful that another 90 days will keep the flareups from coming back & I can start using the dark spot cream. I tried using the acne dark mark relief, but the acne got worse… I will have to post a separate review for that… See the attached photos for my progress. I would still recommend this for someone like me who is desperate for clear skin again. Finally 100% clear skin after 13 years of trying everything

I've spent so many years trying every acne line from dermologica to Murad to Clinique to ordinary and so on. I've wanted to share how I cleared my skin with people who suffer like I did because i know y'all are out there and I wish someone would've found this magic combo for me. I've been 100% clear and bright (not even red!) for almost a year now. My routine is: cerave wash (the green one that says oil control but really has great skin ingredients), Thayers alcohol fee toner (changed my texture and brightens my skin every day) and then this proactive product, the pore targeting treatment. I'm convinced any higher end benzoyl peroxide serum would work but this stuff is great and doesn't dry me out. I use a high end light moisturizer when I need it in the winter. No exaggeration this is my holy grail

Ive had horrible acne like all over my face since i was 14, im 27 now and out of allllllllllll the products ive ever purchased this is the only one that has cleared my acne entirely. Give it one month and you will have baby skin. I wash my face, apply this, and then I finish with the laniege cream skin right after and its perfect. If they ever discontinue this i will cry.
