Pureology Style + Protect Beach Waves Sugar Spray (170ml)

Pureology Beach Waves Sugar spray is the best of the products I was sent by influenster. The back of the bottle states that you'll get touchable waves without crunch or stiffness and I have to agree. I have almost strait hair and the only reason I get a wave is because I bleach my hair and it has some damage. This Sugar spray gave me waves and all I did was pop out of the shower, spray my hair, scrunch it some with a gentle dry, and I had a gentle wave with some added volume. I frankly couldnt stop playing with my hair thats how cute I felt. This Pureology spray made we wish I had more layers in my hair, but alas I cut off 5 inches only 3 months ago. To me this is a must buy but I bet it would be even better if you had more of a natural wave or curl to your hair.

I personally didn’t like the Beach wavy sugar spray in my hair. I have super straight and thin hair that never hold any type of body or curl at all. So it just made my hair feel like a Icky mess. My cousin tried it and loved it she has thick and curly hair so it made her curls look amazing. It was lite weight and didn’t kept her curls tight without puffy up like puff ball. She love the coconut beach vibe smell it gave off. If have straight, thin and stubborn hair like I do this is not the product for you. If you have thick or curly hair it’s a amazing product for that type of hair.

When I tried the spray on my heated curls it was like a wet consistency spray it wasn’t thick I’ve tried other brand before and that one was also wet and I love this one better because it didn’t leave my hair so tacky!! My curls usually only last half the day mostly my bottom layer by the time I leave home my bottom layer is straight and within the spray it hold my curls all day I loved it!! My only complaint is that I don’t know if I sprayed too much and then I went to shower my wet hair felt like damp sticky but not in a gross way I think because I still had product in so I think I would double wash my hair when I use the spray on. Over all I loved it because my curls lasted me all day!!!!! So I was excited to try this because I had only ever heard of salt spray, not sugar spray. I have naturally wavy hair so I can always use a bit more texture. However, the smell was neutral, and the results were neutral as well. I didn’t notice much of a difference in my hair. I think it would work better for people with thicker hair. It was certainly lightweight and didn’t leave any sticky or dry feeling on my hair. I’m not sure if I could recommend for people with fine hair but I think it maintained the color. Pretty packaging.

To be honest, I think it only works on people who already have curls/waves. Also I think it works better when your hair is moisty. Therefore you can play with your hair while it’s a little wet. I really love how fresh this product smells. It’s very lightweight, and I use it when I feel lazy to do my hair. (Like mostly all the times)🥲😂 Sometimes I don’t feel like straightening my hair for 1 hours and something. So this product is very convenient. Also, I noticed applying this with my dry crusty hair makes it look better. It gives it texture, if that makes sense. So ya I give this product a 10/10! YAHOOOOO

Have you ever used a spray to give you that beach wave look and your hair looked crunchy after? Yeah me too… that DOES NOT happen with this beach wave spray!! It made my hair so soft and nice, it wasn’t greasy looking or look like it was full of product. It just had nice, beautiful and natural looking waves. I’ve always struggled with finding good hair products and had never tried Purology before my VoxBox and now I’m obsessed. This isn’t your average hair product. No funky ness, just fresh clean looking hair with the results you actually want!!! Total win!!

I purchased this without knowing anything about it and didn’t even realize it wasn’t a salt spray. It has an interesting smell that isn’t unpleasant and it fades pretty quickly. Because this is a sugar wave spray I don’t think you can really over apply like you can with traditional salt sprays. I have used this weekly for a few months and I still have the original bottle but it is now getting low. I’m torn on repurchasing or trying something new because I do like this product a lot. I use it to diffuse my hair, refresh it on days 2-3, and it works really well on my waves. I can get away with just using this spray without a gel or mousse also and my style will hold. If you’re tired of salt sprays this would be my first recommendation.

The way I like to use it is by washing my hair,t hen spraying it on my damp hair, and finally, french braid it before I go to sleep. When I wake up in the morning, I have a nice, effortless beach wave look, and my hair feels moisturized. Another thing I like about this product is that it has anti color fade and heat protection because sometimes I will hit use it and then hit my hair with a diffuser for a few minutes to increase the wave effect so because it has heat protection I don't have to use an additional spray in my hair and then risk too much product buildup ... MoreI really like this product.
