I debated purchasing this product due to the instructions would have you apply it to dry hair. I finally took the plunge and am so happy I did. I applied this product to wet/towel dried hair and the dry down is awesome. I have fine hair but a lot of it cut in layers. I finger styled my hair upon applying, letting it air dry then ran my fingers through to fluff from the underside and didn't touch it the rest of the day lasting all the way through my 8 hour shift even withstanding the wind. It left my natural body/spiral curl hair soft to the touch not crunchy as you would expect with this type of hold without weighing it down.

I use this every single morning. I can put it in or leave it looking tousled and messy or I can blow dry it for a little more precise styling. The cream is nice and thick and I just pull out a good size amount and rub between my hands and scrunch all through my hair. It’s perfect for a quick do or a refined styling!

This product is very nice for creating texture. It’s not at all sticky like some other texture products. You just need a little bit on your fingertips and then scrunch into your hair. I love the piecey look. However, I am disappointed that Pureology doesn’t have a styling cream, which I do prefer for my hair type.

I have fine but very thick hair with a natural curl/wave and was searching for something to put in after I wash it that defines the waves, reduces frizz but still soft with a lot of movement to it. This product allows that and I only use a small amount through the ends. Happy with my purchase and long time lover of pureology hair products.
Unfortunately I will be returning this product. I have been looking for a replacement product for Kenra Clear Paste, that obviously went through a very bad revamp, but this texture paste is not it. I saw other reviews that stated it was drying and it absolutely is! To me, for my hair, which I will say I did give it a fair shake by using it 4 days, it left my hair dull, like a matte (which I do not like at all) and dry looking. I cannot use a dry shampoo in my hair and I feel like this product is a solid version of a dry shampoo. I thought it had a clean, very light smell, so that part was great. The way it felt in your hands was good, but it just didn't seem to add in volume or texture.
For years I have used another brand that I loved. However, it is out of stock and I am not sure it will be coming back. I decided to try this given the positive reviews. For my fine hair I think this just leaves it too stiff and not "touchable" at all. I am disappointed in it.
This product is not for my hair which is fine but thick. I was told by your representative on the phone that it was similar to your discontinued Power Dressing which I loved. This is a thick paste which would weigh down my hair. I don't have a "Mess it up" hair style. It was mailed to me and I incurred costly shipping and handling fee. By the way, it arrived a box that was way too big and filled with plastic. I hope to get a fell refund and never deal with a Purology product again ...... unless the Power Dressing is available again
I purchased this product mainly to tame new hair growth when I style. I do twists in my hair and it helps hold the baby hairs down without looking greasy or too heavy. It's lightweight and smells really good, it does exactly what I need it to do. Will definitely add this to my hair product collection
I have short, fine hair and the product that I had been using for years must have changed an ingredient which made it sticky like glue! So I had to go on the search for a replacement! I tried this and it works pretty well so I won't be returning it. It's not sticky or heavy and it gives my hair the texture and shine that it needs. I must add that I still need to use hairspray to keep my style all day and the smell at first does remind me of deodorant, but the smell does go away once it goes on my hair.
This product is supposed to provide medium hold but it had zero hold. My hair is sort of straight with a little wave/curl. Style fell out and hour later. I have a short bob so my hair is not heavy or too long. No texture or shine. Will be returning
