I purchased this to have a glass set for food storage, Today I noticed that a lid has already cracked/torn. I am very disappointed and unhappy for the rest of my lids. I am very gentle with everything I own!!This shouldn't occur -I would be happy to send pictures. Thank you

Pyrex makes the best glass bowls, they are polished, clean looking and indestructible. I decided to replace my first set which I have used for over 20 years only because they started to look worn with scratches. I use these bowls all the time and they are always sitting on my kitchen counter top. The big bowl is great for making big batches of cookie dough and pancake batter. I also use these glass bowls as serving bowls for salads. I like my new set more because they come with lids. These bowls are so durable, they will probably last forever.

I had bought this set last year for our Florida home and liked them so well I bought two more sets - one for our Illinois home and one for my daughter as a Christmas present. The bowls are heavy duty and the lids fit well. The bowls nest inside each other so they take up less room. They are a good value for the price (I bought them on sale).

I personally love using these as mixing bowls when I am baking. I love the lip around the rim of the bowl and the weight of these. They are perfectly sized for baking, mixing, and best of all, storing leftover food, fruit, etc. I run mine through the dishwasher and they handle that well and the lids have not warped and they still fit nicely. I love these bowls and lids. Thank you Pyrex.
I’ve been eyeing these bowls for months. So simple, but each size serves specific purposes, making baking and cooking so much easier. Pancake and cookie doughs, salads, marinades. I love every size. Thank you, Pyrex.
These are a baker's classic and a cook's necessity! Suppose you are cooking/baking with fat (butter, oil, etc.); you cannot use plastic bowls because the fat in the oil or the butter (or whatever) is too similar to the polymers in the plastic bowls. As a result, you will never get a good mix in a plastic bowl (this is why you get that odd mixture of muffin mix and the oil or melted butter in a plastic bowl). A glass bowl solves this problem, plus you get to cheat and see if anything on the bottom is unmixed.
These are really nice bowls and it is great to have lids that fit. However, the lids say they are microwave safe, but after microwaving the lid it became deformed and no longer fits the bowl. Definitely not microwave safe. And I’m not as big of a fan now that I have one lid-less bowl.
This is my second set of these Pyrex bowls. The first set we got as a wedding gift and lasted 25 years. I only replaced them because they had scratches from years of stirring and mixing. The second set lasted 1 year. Two of the bowls chipped from regular use. Today’s Pyrex is not the same. I do like how this set came with lids.
Prior bowl set was Rubbermaid which wore out in microwave (yes we microwaved in them even after knowing you shouldn't), decided to replace plastic with glass. The lids are dishwasher safe if on the top shelf. Pyrex products have never let me down.
I have not had these very long at all. I will likely use these mixing bowls for larger amounts of leftovers as I have a nice stand mixer. The tops fit well and are nicely colored. I will likely hand wash both tops and bowls as all but the smallest will take too much room in my dishwasher. This is a-ok with me as they, thus far, cleaned up extremely well. I do not see this changing. I like the lip on top as well.I did purchase a set of Pyrex bowls with lids with this order. To me those seem to be thicker glass though I've had no problem with these. I simply wonder if the glass will chip more easily. My only other suggestion is that I wish these mixing bowls stood a tad bit taller or higher rather than wider.
