I’m using two together in a bowl shape to use as an “oven” of sorts in my Haines 2 solar cooker. Works EXACTLY how I need it to. Roomy enough to hold baking pans.

It is a great addition to my kitchen.

It works great for a large batch of biscotti that had 1 lb butter, 7 cups flour 4 cups sugar and 3 cups slivered almonds… I can also use it for big salads for a large group of people. Very happy with purchase and delivery.

Love the Lid

I've had lidless mixing bowls all my life and just got tired of wrapping them with plastic wrap so got 2 of these. I made pizza dough yesterday which I usually let rise in the KitchenAid bowl but this time I put it in the mixing bowl and put the lid on. It was up to the lid within 30 minutes to my surprise. I am very pleased, would buy again.

I love all four of the Pyrex bowls in this series (1 qt, 1.5 qt, 2.5 qt, and 4 qt). They're made in the USA and are Pyrex brand, so I'm confident in the quality. The glass is thick, so will probably last many years. The lids are BPA-free and the different colors makes them fun and easy to tell apart. The four bowls stack into each other. I use them both as mixing bowls and as food storage containers and since they're glass, they don't impart a metallic or plastic taste to the stored food. And the price is great for the quality. Love, love that I can still get this same bowl

I have another bowl just like it and was so happy to see that it is still available after all these years. I love that about Pyrex. Lid fits my old bowl as well. This size is perfect for bread baking and many other tasks. Use this size every day. I cook and bake a lot.

This product is good quality and has great feature

These bowls are good strong glassware and made in the USA which I really appreciate. They are excellent to use for a mixing bowl and can also be used as a serving bowl. Having the cover is an added bonus. I really like having covers for my bowls. It saves on using plastic wrap which is wasteful and not environmental friendly. I will get great use out of them.

Very functional size for my uses...

Had a "4 liter" bowl w/o the lid, purchased this set of two 4 quart" bowls to always have one available while the other is in the dishwasher. Use tends to be large salads or even something to dump popcorn in and of course, extra food storage, I make roughly gallon quantities of soups and stews although a little less space efficient for the latter than some other containers I have. Doesn't fit squarely in the dishwasher but doesn't interfere with the central post. The lids are a little more problematic in the dishwasher covering a lot of real estate on the upper rack.

Why use chemical laden plastic when you could use glass

I do not use plastic anymore. I only use glass. I freeze my food in glass. I store food in glass. I've been using Pyrex for many years now and am very happy knowing that I am not storing or freezing food in chemical laden plastic.
