Rare Beauty Always An Optimist 4-in-1 Mist

I have tried many products (moisturizers, oils, masks, primers) to prep my skin before doing make up but my skin always end up feeling caky and skin patches here and there. That’s why I always love a natural or sheer foundation finish because it could reduce the problem. But if the finish is too natural, the covering power would be light or sometimes doesn’t cover anything at all. This mist solves my problems! I now can wear matte finish, medium to full coverage foundation without worrying my skin would destroy the makeup. This mist makes my make up look blended into my skin without feeling caky or heavy. The Always an Optimist 4-in-1 spray is a multi-use product that can be used as a setting spray or a refresher when your skin needs it. I love that it feels light and airy on my skin and hydrates. It's an airy mist that evenly sprays and although you don't need much, I tend to use a lot. There's a slight fragrance but it dissipates after a few seconds. If you're sensitive to fragrance, you may want to skip it. As for setting spray, I would give it a 4 as it doesn't hold like the One Size. For a refresher, it's great and makes my skin feeling fresh, especially on a hot humid day. It feels better when you put it in the fridge. The price for the full-size is reasonable.

Acneeeee!!! Never had an acne problem until now!!

After using this product my face started to break up. It’s very oily for my normal type skin, which surprised me because during winter my skin gets dry so I thought this would help keep moist and refresh my skin but it didn’t, my skin is still dry and now I have a lot of acne. I have never had a problem with acne before, since I started using this mist, the liquid browser/highlighter and the liquid blush. I got acne in my cheeks. The quality of the bottle is nice so is the design and size, but I would prefer having a cheap ugly bottle with a healthy nice formula instead.I was so excited about this product, I’m wondering if it’s just a bad batch, hope it is because I appreciate the mission of this brand and the visibility is giving to mental health. Disappointing :(

I bought this after ready pretty positive reviews on it but after using it a few times Ive come to the conclusion its just not for me. I bought it to keep in my office for whenever my face looks a bit lack-luster in the afternoon but it isnt performing like I hoped it would. Heres the main things i dont like about this product:- Even if shaken before use, the liquid is very oily and leaves an oil-slick finish to anything it lands on (skin, clothes, desk etc.)- Has a really strong botanical scent, kind of like walking into a naturopath/wellness store with a bunch of different essential oil scents mixed together. I have bought both the mini and the full size of this product. I will say the full size all ready after one use if much better because of the sprayer. It's a lot more of a fine mist on the full size while the mini seems to be not as micro. The fine mist allows it to be more even and even more glowy. I absolutely love the scent, its not too strong and is very calming and relaxing. The packaging is adorable as always! Rare Beauty just always comes through!!! I love the finish this gives on my makeup, but if your skin is on the more oily side I wouldn't recommend as it has lots of oils in it to give that really glowy look. Primer: yes! Setting: not so much

I work in the nightlife, meaning I am surrounded by sweaty people for multiple hours at a time. I’m also constantly moving. It is important for my makeup to stay on all night. Unfortunately, this wasn’t it. I usually use the Morphe setting spray but thought I’d give the Rare Beauty a go since it is vegan. EVERY TIME I use it as a setting spray, my foundation slides off my face (around my nose particularly), and my pores becomes extremely visible. I never had this problem. It is an oily product. I started using it as a primer recently, and it does a decent job when it’s under my products, not on top. However, I won’t be repurchasing. Any serums or moisturizers with a sticky feeling does the exact same job as a primer for me.
