As a first-time experience using Recon Whole Food Protein, I must say, I am very impressed! My son is here visiting and is extremely picky. He plays Football for a D1 University. He sticks to ONLY his preferred supplements, always. My son asked, what are you doing with that Dad? I replied I'm going to use it as a meal supplement son. I asked him if he wanted to try it, and he did! To my immense surprise, he loves the chocolate and even began using my Redcon1 Aminos. He has a ton of other products, but he's using the Redcon. I love it and use it each morning as my meal drink with several walnuts, cola nut powder, pure organic beet powder, and frozen blackberries. I will be purchasing this item again. Best Protein I've come across. Doesn't buildup or stick. Actually has some sugar in it (substitute is horrible for you, you need sugar). I had no problems or cramps digesting this stuff, it also has a very high count per serving unlike a lot of brans of protein and also I love how this is also a meal replacement. I have had issues holding weight and this is the perfect balance for me. Water or whole milk I prefer whole milk but water definitely keeps you more hydrated I use whole milk because I need as many calories as I can in a day to maintain or gain because my metabolism is like a Nuclear power plant. I also feel a lot more on point and way less fatigued after drinking one of these with or as a meal.

This is the best protein/ meal replacement powder I've ever used. First of all since it's non-whey it doesn't make me gassy at all, and it tastes great!! It mixes well with milk or even water, and I'll even add a scoop to my oatmeal for flavor and extra protein. This stuff also makes it easy to put on mass. Every week I'll gain an extra pound of two when I use it. Highly recommend to anyone looking to gain some muscle mass.

This is the best meal replacement I've ever drank. I will say, when just shaken in a blender bottle there is some texture, but it's not chalky or clumpy, just a bit of undissolved bits (but this could be that I need to add more liquid). I bought the Oatmeal Cookie one, which does have tiny chocolate bits in it so that could also be what I'm feeling when I drink it. Either way, the texture is not a turn off for me. I've tried protein drinks from peas and THAT was chalky and I couldn't even drink it. This, I can have with just water or if I want to make it a nice smoothie I'll do oatmilk, water, 4 scoops, 1/3 of a banana and blend. I struggle with getting enough protein from real food sources in my diet, which is why I wanted to add a meal replacement into my diet. I ... MoreThis is the best meal replacement I've ever drank. I struggle with getting enough protein from real food sources in my diet, which is why I wanted to add a meal replacement into my diet. I tend to eat fast food during lunch which leads to me bloating and feeling yucky all day. I've been opting instead for a smoothie every day for lunch. Let me say, I can feel and see the difference. My body was starved for its macros and since I've added this into my diet I am less fatigued, no bloat, more energy, and importantly I am FULL! I will also add - the body can only digest 25-30 grams of protein per hour so I drink 1 half of my smoothie at 11am and the next half at 12pm so that I can maximize my protein synthesis and avoid it being just excreted or turned into excess fat. If you're feeling like I am too gushing about this product, I will say one thing -- I find it a bit sweet, but when I add the banana and oat milk it cuts the sweetness in half. Highly recommend this product.
Cost: A+Got this as a duo with the MRE Waffle. Both had unbeatable prices with Redcon's ongoing deals these days.Flavoring: A+To be frank, all of the MREs from Redcon has been perfect. I am most impressed with their Waffle and Blueberry flavoring since I don't recall ever having a protein product this creative before.Mixability: A+No need for a shaker ball or a blender - this mixes with ease.
I like the Blueberry Muffin Flavor and Banana Nut Flavor. Those are the best that I have tried. Blueberry is especially the best. I don't like to let it sit long as it gets to thick for my liking so I will drink right away. But if I make it before my workout and take it with me I have to add a little water to it to thin it back up. Other then that I like these MRE. I usually use 2 scoops of this with one scoop on the MRE LTE or when they had the whey in I would add a scoop of that to get different proteins for an immediate and extended release of proteins.
I have ordered from here multiple times over the last several years, and I also am a tier operator. Never in my life have I ever had more quality issues than the last several months. I got sent a replacement blueberry cobbler MRE after having multiple issues for the first time with digestion in the Snickerdoodle MRE Lite and this blueberry cobbler doesn't even taste remotely like blueberry cobbler. It tastes like straight cinnamon. For the record, I use to always shake my protein shakes, this has to be continuously shaken or else it will thicken and sit at the bottom of the shaker bottle. Never once, in the last three years have I ever had to do that. Probably the number one reason why there is major sales is to get rid of bad inventory. After they rebranded it has ... Cost: A+Snagged this as a bundle with several other MRE and Ration Whey.Saved me around 100$ than going to the nearest brick and mortar (which my last MRE was from actually).Taste: A+I asked customer service for their input on their favorite flavor since I was indecisive - they said Waffle and my God.. they are correct! The flavoring is nailed so well when I blended it with milk.Mixability: A+Mixes with ease using even a simple shaker - no complaint here!
Blueberry Cobbler is by far the best tasting of the flavors I've tried. I mix with oat milk, sometimes regular milk, and feel this makes it so much better. Water works, but it's not great. I've had the Strawberry Shortcake, Dutch Apple Pie, and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, and whoever tested the flavor profiles really got it right. It's hard to believe there are protein sources from beef, chicken, and salmon because you simply can't taste anything to confirm it.I did knock off one star because maltodextrin is added and the level of artificial sweetener could/should be dialed back a bit. For some it doesn't matter (especially if you want a quick energy source), but maltodextrin has a higher glycemic index than regular sugar. I realize here it is used to improve texture ... For some it doesn't matter (especially if you want a quick energy source), but maltodextrin has a higher glycemic index than regular sugar. I realize here it is used to improve texture and prolong shelf life, but pectin or guar gum could be used. It's also worth noting that the current consensus is that sucralose, acesulfame potassium, and maltodextrin can dramatically alter gut flora. Those with IBS or other GI issues should take this into consideration. That said, you can tell from the ingredients list that real thought was put into the recipe, not just a bunch of fillers and protein. I think MRE is the perfect product for me... a sometimes 'snack' and sometimes meal replacement on days I'm feeling lazy, work late and don't want to cook, or I need to supplement protein.
Your products are second to none- everything is awesome and everything works the way it is advertised, but for as great as your products are, your shipping over the last six- months has been equally horrendous! Every order takes longer than the last. It’s to the point that it’s almost not worth it anymore. It's like you got so big that it now ok cool give us your money and you’ll get your stuff when you get it. I used to get my orders within a week when you were in Boca, now they take a month or more. It’s not like you are sourcing this stuff from some manufacturer- you ARE the manufacturer.I’m really looking for a reason to keep spending my money with you but it just keeps getting more and more frustrating. Make it make sense.
