I have been using the Comfortblue Gel Nasal Mask for more than 10 years and tried this new mask because it looked to be more minimal in size. I tried the mirage and liked the strap/headgear system and the fact that they have made the frame smaller. What made me return the product was that the standard size mask part was a pinch too small and no matter how I repositioned it it would pinch my nose and make me feel that I was not getting unobstructed airflow. More importantly, I disliked how the mask was vented and when I exhaled the air was hitting me on the arm where I lay my head to sleep. There was no way I could have air blowing on me trying to get to sleep. Maybe for others this would not be an issue. After many years of CPAP use I am going back to my old reliable comfy Comfotblue Gel mask despite it having a bigger frame of it having a bigger frame.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I use a medical supply company locally. The local supply company messed up the order. Even though I'm male, I use the Mirage FX for her small size headgear and mask. It fits me better than the small male headgear. Instead of fighting with the local supply company over their mistake, I decided to order from cpap.com. The product was shipped quickly and fits me perfectly. I told my sleep specialist about what I did, she said you can find products on cpap.com priced better than a local medical supply company. I was surprised by her comment. Will use cpap.com in the future.

I have been a Mirage Softgel user for many years. I am a tough fit because I am an active sleeper, switching between side and back sleeping positions. Most masks have me adjusting headgear and mask multiple times a night to avoid air leaks that wake me. The Mirage Soft gel was the first mask I found that eliminated the leaks and adjustments. The Mirage FX is a wonderful improvement. It is much less bulky, with a better mask seal, and holds up to my active sleeping. Another improvement is you don’t have to ratchet down the headgear straps to get and maintain a good mask seal. I am extremely impressed with this mask and after a decade with the Soft gel, I will be making the change permanently to the Mirage FX. My sleep has never been better. Thank you Resmed!
I tried both Mirages nasal masks. Wanted to like them both. The most recent, ResMed Mirage Microâ„¢ Nasal CPAP lasted two weeks. Tried to adjust, but unable to prevent pressure marks and tenderness at the tip and below nose. I am a small across the board. The fit was fine. Don't know exactly why the discomfort and pressure marks occurred. Adjusting all straps didn't work. The forehead bar gave me a headache. I also don't like the fact you have to undo the velcro to get out of the headpiece. In the middle of the night it's difficult to get back into.
The Mirage FX for her is the nasal mask initially fitted for me by my DME, even though I am a man. However, I have concluded that I was fitted incorrectly and really should wear a standard size nasal mask. The person who fitted me did not use a template, and I seem to be a size medium according to the template for just about every other nasal mask. I wound up exchanging that first FX for her for a different style of mask. That said, my experience with the FX for her was overall positive enough that I bought a second one from The CPAP Shop when I decided to give nasal masks another try. It is obvious now that, even though the mask is wide enough at the bottom of my nose, it simply does not go high enough on the bridge to meet my needs, so I need a different size. It is obvious now that, even though the mask is wide enough at the bottom of my nose, it simply does not go high enough on the bridge to meet my needs, so I need a different size. The mask has several features that really impressed me. For one, the forehead support is far tougher than it looks. This is the only mask, besides my P10 pillows, that has been able to go through an entire night without shifting one bit. Although it may look flimsy, the butterfly attachment is pretty stout. I also like that this mask touches less of the nose and more of the face. The openness and abundance of air to breathe was a good feeling for me. I also was impressed by how quiet the mask was and how easily I could disconnect with the quick release if I wanted to get out of bed for any reason. All in all, this may be the best mask that I've tried, but since the small didn't really fit the shape of my face I am going to order a standard size and see how that works out.
This mask fits my nose and most importantly does not move around in bed when I move. I believe this is because of the headgear. The mask is attached to the head and the head swivels on the neck. If the headgear and mask assembly all are attached to the head it will all move together and not cause leaks. The over the head top strap on the headgear with the FX keeps the lower strap from slipping down onto the neck---keeps the bottom strap up on the head so the whole assembly can move together when I move my head in bed. I purchased a (returnable) Comfort Classic along with this one. Its mask is every bit as good I believe--slightly larger with the same double seal system. The difference was the headgear. The Comfort Classic does not have the top strap so, on my head, the bottom strap slips down onto the neck. When I turn my head the strap on the neck does not move with the head and pulls on the mask and creates a side leak. My next order will be a Comfort Classic for price and the FX headgear---If I can get it that way.
As a physician who prescribes CPAP masks and devices and also has Obstructive Sleep Apnea, I am now at the point that this is my default mask ordered for new patients. The local CPAP supplier hates these masks, because they apparently don't make as much profit. They do admit my patients are more successful using and accepting CPAP therapy than any of the other providers in the area! Mask is light weight and doesn't have to be super snug to seal! The rotating hose connector at the mask has an easy release, and I am able to disconnect the hose easily, keep the mask on, and easily re-hook up the hose when I return to bed! I currently have a collection of about 20 different mask styles and this is my favorite!
I have used many maks and this one I have used for my last two years. I order a new one about every year. I do not plan on trying another as I feel very happy with this one and totaly trust it . Basically what everyone has said up above, is the reason i like this mask. The swivel is awesome, and I have a big beard but for some reason it rarely has a tiny leak right when i put it on. I just have to adjust it for about 2 seconds like you would any mask and its good for the rest of the night. Very impressed with this mask.
This ask was suggested as a replacement for the TrueBlue mask I had been using for most of my treatment years. I looked forward to getting the mask and trying it out,It arrived promptly, I carefully read the fitting procedures and tried the mask, pressure testing the fit before bed. After two weeks of large leaks and less effective treatment, I was forced to admit this mask doesn’t work for me.Apria Direct recommended it as a replacement for a discontinued mask, shipped it promptly, and it arrived in timely fashion, I have since found out that it is now discontinued,,My search for a comfortable mask that doesn’t leak for me continues,
