Terrible product! Turns into rubbery chunks after putting Lancolm foundation on. I tried 2 other foundations and same thing. I looked like a monster. Total waste of money! Do not buy it. I tried No7 Airbrush Away and just recently the Porefessional and those worked much better and there was no rubber chunky flaky pieces. Still searching for something I am 100% happy with though...

Okay so I really thought I would love this primer! I heard good stuff about and that it was a great dupe to Hourglass Vanish Primer I believe it's called. Not the Veil Primer, but the Vanish. I had also heard it was specifically great for textured skin as well so i was excited to try it. But it just sat on my skin horribly and made my foundation not be able to just melt into my skin the way it usually would. And that was with using 2 foundations I really trust. It made all my texture and pores sooo much more visible. It was really bad. Especially obviously around my mouth area as you can see in one of the pictures I will have posted, and then the other picture you can see more pores so strongly it's almost scary to me because I never realized just how textured I ... I used Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation on one side, and Uoma Flawless IRL Skin Perfecting Foundation on the other side. I believe the Uoma side looked a tad better then Nars side did with this primer. But either way they both looked bad the more I looked at it. It doesn't really have a scent which can be nice, and it felt great between my fingers and rubbing onto my skin but it just sat on top and did not skin onto my skin at all.. I was quite bummed out with how this primer worked out on me. I will give it a couple more tries but if that don't work I will probably give it to someone else to try.

I quite like this primer, because I’m Suss on primers and not convinced they do much I mix 1:1 for example one pump Ole Henriksen : 1 pump revlon to save money. A beauty therapist friend told me most of the top shelf products at Mecca Sephora are super concentrated so even if you water it down with moisturiser or a less effective product, it’ll still work. I guessed from the feel that this was high in silicone and when I read the label dimethicone was 5th on the ingredient list. There isn’t a tacky feeling to this product, it really just feels like moisturiser but with slip. I guess of what we consider “drug store” here in Australia 🇦🇺 I think L’Oreal, then Revlon are the top tier and I prefer this to L’Oreal’s primer. I still think the Milk Makeup Primer is the ... In the mean time I have another cheap primer to dilute my fancy stuff with (did anyone else start singing “I’m so fancy, you already know…”)

So, I don’t know about this primer. The good: nice packaging, and products glide somewhat well over it. The bad: it has a very heavy texture. So heavy that it doesn’t go on perfectly even. In fact, if it starts drying before you are done it kind of crumbles. The formula is so think that it doesn’t really work great with the pump to get it out. Goes on heavy and it feels a little cakey before it dries. Does it work? Well, it does keep makeup in place and with some blotting paper it does manage to keep you matte for the most part. Honestly, not something I would buy again
I have VERY oily skin so I usually try and find a primer that’s going to mattify my skin to keep shininess at bay. I was excited however, to try this primer for two reasons— one, it’s a brightening primer which is perfect base for when your face needs a pick-me-up and looks a bit dull and lifeless AND it’s a skin -tone evening primer which was DEFINITELY right up my alley as I have some acne scars and marks that need covering. I also thought it was interesting that this primer contained Lemon extract and Vitamin C E, which are ingredients I’ve never seen in other primers I’ve tried in the past. After giving this primer a try here are my thoughts: 🤍 I liked that this primer was tinted and not your standard white or clear. Usually I notice that other primers when ... After giving this primer a try here are my thoughts: 🤍 I liked that this primer was tinted and not your standard white or clear. Usually I notice that other primers when they dry down it leaves white residue/patches(that of course get covered with foundation), however I liked that this primer didn’t leave any white spots and this can stand alone. If I want to just apply some primer to my skin on those days where I don’t want a full face, I can and it won’t be noticeable. 🤍The texture of this primer is that of a lotion. It’s slightly “thicker” than a lotion but not as thick as say a body butter. When you first apply the primer to the skin(I used my fingers) it will feel SLIGHTLY tacky but I think it helps the foundation adhere better. 🤍As far as its brightening and even toning claims I did notice it did brighten my skin slightly and left a slight “glow” but it was nothing extraordinary. I also noticed that despite my high hopes, i didn’t notice any skin-tone evening and it didn’t cover any marks(I had to use a corrector afterward) Overall I think this primer is decent. I didn’t notice any earth shattering changes in my skin, but I do like that it’s tinted and I really liked its texture. I will continue to use it this summer to determine if it’s worth a purchase.
I’ll start by telling ya that I am 61 years old. I fight dry dull skin daily. This Revlon Prime Plus Perfecting and smoothing has changed the way my makeup looks on my skin. This stuff is a game changer. It takes years off your face, the lines and dry skin are almost invisible. I’ve never been so pleased with a product that I have tried. I’m going to by several more for back up. I also use the Revlon Rose Glow Face Gloss, it too is amazing. Do yourself a favor and try this product! I have spent close to $500 in primers and the one I take a chance on that is $10 works Amazingly.
I rarely wear cosmetics. But, when I do I try to only wear healthy alternatives on my skin. I usually look at 2 things before buying: great reviews and EWG ratings for safe products. I was recently shocked to see the Revlon photo ready Prime Plus on the EWG safe list. I was intrigued so I bought some. I tried on half my face and compared the difference. OMG!! I absolutely love it. Because I rarely wear anything on my face I could immediately see the difference. And, it’s super light and silky. Thank you for making a safe product. I will buy this as long as you make it.
I’ve learned to like it! At first I didn’t really know how to work with it. I recommend using a basic toner like Thayers first, then mixing this product with vitamin c serum and apply to face while toner still wet. Then let it settle for a bit, moisturize and makeup! It does make your makeup feel a bit thicker in texture when applying, but the finish is great!! Love that it’s EWG compliant too.
Revlon PhotoReady Prime Plus Perfecting and smoothing Primer with the addition of vitamin B5 and Hyaluronic Acid is a fantastic product for improving the overall health of your skin at the same time as providing a great base for smooth, long lasting flawless make-up. Apply it quickly over a good moisturiser and don't wait too long before applying your foundation, (I paired it with Revlon Photoready Candid Glow). The first day I wore it I received so many compliments on the how fresh and healthy my skin looked I was astonished. A full coverage foundation is my normal daily go to, however in my opinion it’s not suited for this primer, the advantage to that is that this product will have women who generally only wear full coverage foundation falling back in love with ... The first day I wore it I received so many compliments on the how fresh and healthy my skin looked I was astonished. A full coverage foundation is my normal daily go to, however in my opinion it’s not suited for this primer, the advantage to that is that this product will have women who generally only wear full coverage foundation falling back in love with their own skin, especially when they pair it with something like candid glow foundation and skinlights face glow illuminator. I get good coverage, paired with a light, fresh, healthy looking glow, within minutes, with minimal products, and my skin is loving me for it, my face doesn’t seem to have as many red itchy blotches after showering, it doesn’t feel as dry and patchy, it looks smoother…… It looks healthier ……. Maybe that’s just the primer giving that appearance? or maybe my skin quality has actually improved after 1 week of use? If you have issues like I did with blotchy, itchy spots and only ever suffocate your face with full coverage foundation, grumbling every morning when you see your complexion in the mirror, stop it, give this a try, you will soon love your own skin again and smile when you catch a glimpse of your face in the mornings.
Yet another classic example of a brand trying to "reformulate and improve" an already great product. I get what Revlon was trying to do here, but this new version bears so little resemblance to the old, cult-classic primer that I was left very disappointed. The old line of Revlon Photoready primers, especially the Color Correcting (sadly discontinued) and the Pore Reducing ("upgraded" to this) were the only things that kept my extremely oily skin matte all day, didn't break me out, and actually made my skin look good without makeup. They worked wonderfully under any foundation and got rave reviews. This new iteration does not have that creamy texture that did such a good job at smoothing skin and filling pores, nor does it keep me matte at all. The texture is thin, ... The texture is thin, even greasy, and makes my skin turn red after application. I didn't see any pore perfecting properties and the primer pills up under anything I use it with. As other reviews have mentioned, the texture does make you think of putting a layer of saran wrap on your face. Please just bring back the original line of Photoready Primers. Yes, the packaging on those needed to be changed, but not the product itself.
