I'm pleased with the apparent quality of the materials used in the pump's construction but I've only used it 12 or so times to set up a new shock and fork before the snow hit us, ending my riding season. (Fair weather rider here - I carry a loaded down backpack and walk during the winter months or trek down our frozen river later in the winter for exercise and to keep my legs in shape). The stroke of the pump is rather short (as are all of them I believe) requiring many pumps of the handle to achieve 150psi when beginning from 0psi or even 50psi. I was also reminded of previous reviewer's comments on the less than desirable position of fine tuning pressure release button almost immediately when using the pump the first couple of times. I was also reminded of previous reviewer's comments on the less than desirable position of fine tuning pressure release button almost immediately when using the pump the first couple of times. It's right at the bottom of the pressure gauge where one (I) naturally grab the pump with the supporting hand causing a release of immediately or within a few strokes as the pump moves in your hand. Reposition your hand, make it a habit and Whola! no more problem. Minor detail IMO. Long screw on metal fitting with a pivoting (approximately 10-12") hose that also clips to the pump handle when not in use are all nice features. The small outcropping you see on the handle at the opposite end of the pressure dial is definitely useful in ensuring agood hold of the handle is achieved. What I'm concerned about to a slight degree, and will keep an eye out for down the road, is the reported loss of pressure reading accuracy this pump has been known for. Probably the only way to combat this potential problem is to A.) really know the feel of your shock/fork pressure settings while riding or B.) having another High Pressure air gauge to double check your desired shock/fork pressure settings. Another minor, but more intrusive, problem to be on the lookout for. With only one bike in my household to maintain and no local riders (small town living) with air shock/forks, at $27.00 I thought it worth trying out for the little I'll use the pump unless I develop shock/fork air leaks - and then it's time for a rebuild I'd say.

I bought this for my bike because the rear shock requires a high pressure rate. I really like the screw on valve attachment and the pump certainly delivers high pressure. What's best is when I remove the pump a minimal amount of air escapes- which means the amount of pressure I put in stays right around what the gauge says I put in. No complaints- well maybe one: because it's a longer shock pump, it doesn't fit in to my fanny pack.

Very pleased with this product! Feels to be well constructed, includes a mounting bracket with hardware, and a Presta valve adapter. Resolution below 100 PSI isn’t fantastic (not the pumps fault, it’s the gauges readout), but not a big deal as anything below that is just my tires on my setup. Features a pressure release valve that can very accurately adjust the pressure when setting shock/fork pressures.
Overall an excellent pump. I bought it for some bikes I'm rebuilding and it's performed well for it's intended purpose. Measurements are accurate, and the pump and bleed components function flawlessly. My only complaint is that the hose and valve connector tighten together as the valve connector tightens to the suspension valve. This leads to the entire pump needing to be rotated to fully secure it to or detach it from the valve. It's also possible that I'm not connecting it correctly. Regardless, this is a great entry purchase for the pump type.
Great quality materials and feel. Does what expected with ease.Pump works great and smooth. Large enough to use in the shop(garage), small and light enough to throw in your hydro pack for those days where you want to fine tune your suspension on the trails. The overall feel is of good quality materials on the pump, hose, valve coupler and dial, which happens to be legible and red...adding to the cool factor. The only one criticism would be about the pump handle as the plastic material seems a bit on the flimsy side and I think I would personally prefer a round ovoid shape that would allow you to pump using the palm of your hand rather than having to grab the handle and push with your thumb, but that is a small issue that at the same time, makes it slimmer and ... So overall I am very happy with this product.
The end of the piston inside the pump rod is plastic, screws onto the metal rod, and keeps “unscrewing” itself. Along with the plastic collar unscrewing itself as well.Basically as I’m using it, the plastic piston separates itself from metal rod and comes flying off. Ive tried theadlock and nothing seems to keep it together. The last time it happened, the rod came out and scratched my carbon frame. I was pissed.Other than that- the pump works great when it’s working. But in all honesty, I should’ve stuck with Fox. I’m tired of Rockshox stuff failing on me.
Got my first mountain bike with air forks, so realised I needed my own pump to set them up correctly for my weight. Thought about getting a cheaper shock pump, but then decided on spending a little but more for the RockShox version. Really pleased I did. The pump feels like quality and sturdy when in your hands. It was really easy to connect, and got up to the required pressure quickly. The red dial looks great and is really easy to read. Overall I'm very pleased and would recommend.
I purchased a Lifeline digital pump, a couple of years ago. Used it about 10 times. It started leaking, Allen bolt rounded out and couldn’t be bothered with it anymore. Wish I’d got this one first of all as it’s much better. Great chain too.Great service from Tredz too, very happy and thank you 😁👍🚴♂️🌈
Solid, sturdy, good quality shock pump with a pressure gauge which is accurate. The hose swivels to allow adjustable connection to the valve. Highly recommend!.
