While these were effective solutions they were often not very convenient and it was cumbersome if I didn't have a dedicated sound tech to assist me.I received the Interview PRO a day before my latest festival shoot and brought it with to give it a trial by fire. Not only was I able to get clean MoS interview tracks within close proximity to stages, I was also able to use it as a way to record good quality live music tracks and rich ambient sounds. Even without the float 32 internal recording I almost never clipped the audio track in camera, and the singular occasion that I did the float 32 saved me.I didn't change any settings out of the box before I used the mic, and it preformed like a champion. If I had a shy interview subject talking quietly or an overly excited subject yelling, the gain assist brought the levels right to where they needed to be.
