Like many on here, same issue with HDCP error. Roku has offered no actual solution. They keep saying to change the HDMI cable but obviously you cannot do that because the HDMI connection is built into the steaming stick, this just highlights the intelligence of the so called 'technicians' you deal with. I have done all the display modifications as well. No resolve.You basically need to unplug the TV and the streaming unit and it works again. It just is a royal pain when you have a mounted flat screen with hidden outlets. Roku will not admit it but it is a software issue on their end and they pretend they have never heard of this issue when I know it affects at least 1 in 4 people who have a Roku streaming based platform. I bought the Roku Streaming Stick 4K shortly after it was first released. I needed and wanted to upgrade from my previous Roku stick, and chose this one because of the extended WiFi range to use in my basement. I was extremely pleased with the performance, picture (love the Dolby Vision), 4K quality, etc. This was my favorite streamer. That is, until this week. Suddenly, it lost WiFi connection and everytime I do a hard reset of the 4K stick, the light on it just flashes white and I cannot get past the initial setup screen where I have to pick the language (because the remote is not communicating with the stick now). I can't use the remote from within the Roku app on my phone because the 4K stick is not connected to the WiFi network yet after a hard factory reset. ... Works well. The bluetooth connectivity avoids having to put the sensor where it can be seen. The instructions say to keep the signal wire away from other wires and that is true you need to keep the wires separated and not crossing each other. On my TV, all the HDMI ports are arranged vertically, and I can't get much separation between the wires, but I was able to avoid having the HDMI wires cross. The coax for my external antenna is only about half an inch from the signal wire, but that been working. The annoying feature is the volume controls on the side of the remote. If you hold the remote in your right hand you cannot avoid changing the volume or muting the TV. Holding the remote in your left hand is a must. (It will help you develop dexterity in your left ...
