Just started using this router but right now I really like it. I recently got fiber internet and this router made it work so much better. Setting it up the network and adding devices to it was a breeze. I was blown away by all of the settings available and everything that it will do. Great range all throughout my house don't even need any range extenders for it. Very happy with the purchase

This router was to replace my current ASUS WiFi 6, in order to get WiFi 7.Delivery and service from B&H was 5 stars: really excellent!When I installed the router it ran fine for a week with fast speed, with few glitches for smart switches and bulbs disconnecting, that I had to reconfigure. It does not support the full Wifi 7 speeds, but i bought this router mainly for the 2.5 and 10 gigabit ports. Best all rounder performer at this price range.

If upgrading from an rt-ac8x, this is a sure bet.Load your old router’s config file an you‘re ready to go.Pro Guest NW support with VLANs help segment the network further.The addition of 8 LAN ports (4, up to 2.5 Gps) is very welcome!
This router is fantastic, with plenty of ports and great features. While it's not tri-band or quad-band, I like its design and that it's ready for WiFi 7. It has good parental controls, a guest WiFi toggle, and gaming modes to prioritize your network. My only gripe is that I'm using the 2.5GbE WAN/LAN port as my WAN, so I can't use link aggregation with my NAS, which needs the same port. The other WAN is a 10GbE port connected to my PC. I have to look into changing me 10gbe rj45 card to a SPF to free up the 10gbe WAN.
Except for the lack of a 6G band, the lack of a manual, and bugs that will surely be fixed with firmware updates, I love it.For the details, look at the specs and the many reviews for this new router from ASUS.It's only dual-band, but I wanted the ports. For now, it needs some bug fixes and a manual to download. A Fire TV Stick is the only device that will not connect to it. I put the Fire TV Stick on a guest network using WPA2 instead of WPA3, and it connected (that has to be the Fire TV Stick's problem). I am using the 10G WAN for the internet and the SPF+ 10G for a switch, and everything is running very fast. I prefer the ASUSWRT/ASUSWRT-Merlin interface over all others I've used. Finally, the price is right for what you get.
I was using the router that was supplied by the provider but there were certain areas in my home where the wifi connection was really weak and would go in and out frequently. Since i have purchased the RT-BE88U the signal strenght throughtout the house is much better and in the areas where the signal was weak it is much stronger and consistent. Very satisfied and confident with the unit.
So far, the device has worked great. With previous device, had sporadic connectivity and appeared it was on the way out. Have had no inconsistent connectivity with new ASUS device; working as expected. Have never had an ASUS router before, so time will tell but so far so good. Thanks!
I've been super happy with my trusty old RT-AC3100. This BE-88U was supposed to bring me to WiFi7 and replace old router.What a abysmal device this is. System log is running wild with constantly crashing dnsmasq, and yea you guessed it DNS works iffy, if not at all. Samsung galaxy S24 Ultra is not compatible with the station if wifi7 options like WMM turned on, it ca not even connect! Download speed over s24 is around 8Mbps (wired clients run 226Mbs). Wifi 7! That's worse than 24 years old wifi! Router is crashing every now and then, smart connect makes devices stuck in limbo looping between 2g/5g. Ipsec VPN implementation is totally booked, they forgot to add static route! Client can connect to router but not to Lan, nor internet :) omg! This device has been in market for quite some time, so one would think (I did!) Asus fixed early bugs already,but clearly not.Anything good? Ai mesh (as ac3100 as node) was easy (wired and wireless). Router has ample amount of rj45s! Usb 3, dual Wan, VLANs (didn't try). There's a fleeting chance Asus gets bugs fixed eventually, but alas for me, I think this will be last Asus device I bought, quality doesn't match expectations and since support doesn't even bother returning emails, I'm done..time to move on
