This high-quality dry food is specially formulated for British Shorthair and my fussy girl loves chomping in to these big crunchy pieces. Proof right away that she is working for her food and her teeth are getting a nice going over as well. This also stops her from bolting her food and she instead has several little meals throughout the day and never overeats.I tend to buy the biggest bags now - economy of scale - and it always stays fresh and crisp. I did, however, recently run a bit low and while waiting for my delivery bought some very pricey M&S dry food to tide her over and to mix in with the Royal Canin. Well didn't the fussy madam carefully eat around it picking out only the Royal Canin pieces and leaving all the rest!

I bought this on special months ago for our British shorthair boy & now he won’t eat anything else! I really noticed how other food falls out of his mouth but he chows into this with gusto & finishes it all off. It’s more expensive than others in the brand (we fed him Light & Digestive previously) but considering he eats it all & there’s no waste, it’s probably much of a muchness. We’ll keep buying it coz he loves it & it's fully nutritionally balanced.
I have always bought this great dry food . My cat is a British Shorthair called "Snowy" and she is now 11years old and to date no issues with her teeth and yes she love them. I buy in 10kg bag and yes they do keep well, I just fill a storage tin and then re seal the bag. So yes all got and well even though they are now more costly I do think they are worth the money.
I have a BSH who has a really poor digestive system. For almost a year we were trying different foods, but he always get the runs, we were cooking chicken, rice, potatoes and mixing in a nutrient paste.Then we tried this food.Since then his stomach has been fine, and we no longer find poop landmines all over the house.
My two love this. The kibble is larger too so helps them crunch more with their teeth to hopefully keep their gums healthier. I mix it with the RC satiety and RC oral to give them more variety and taste as well as keep their Wright healthy. They also have Untamed which I thoroughly recommend
My two cats are reasonably fussy about their food but both are very happy with the British Shorthair formula. I chose it years ago after one of my cats had a very minor problem and my vet suggested I change the food that I was giving them. Reading up on the various dry cat foods available by different manufacturers I came to the conclusion that the RC ingredients may be the most suitable, and it seems I was right. Think there must be a reason why RC have different diets for different breeds, which shows that they have done their research, so well done RC. They also have wet food as well.
I always fedb my british Blue the Royal Canin British Shorthair dry kibble and got the box of 12 sachets free with the purchase of the kibble and thought I would give it a go.After eating one sachet my cat went completely crazy. He was in this hyper state for at least 30 minutes, and it was a different crazy to the normal nightly hyperactivity. He settled after about 30 minutes. Again, the next night immediately after feeding him the wet food he went bananas again, and again on the third night.I actually haven't fed him the rest of the wet food as it sends him crazy. i have returned to feedbing him just the kibble and it has stopped.I am not sure what's in it, but it was like giving a small child a can of energy drink.
