My cat is permanently on this now with kidney disease. She previously ate Science Diet dry food, but since changing over to Renal, she prefers the Royal Canin brand over Science Diet. It also smells better. Unfortunately, Pet Circle continue to increase the cost of this in circumstances where I have no other options to feed my cat non-renal food. Up until Feb 2020, the 48 pack was $75.81. Then in March 2020 it increased significantly to $91.00. Now in May 2020 it's $91.20. It's probably just as cheap to buy this from a store now.

Ridiculously fussy indoor cat aged 17 and 3/4. Diagnosed with hyperthyroidism... knock on to early renal. Can't quite stop a small portion of regular biscuits so vet advice to 'full on' renal food. She LOVES it.. cleans the plate! BUT I have to blend it with a stick blender and tsp of water to a thick gravy consistency, otherwise she licks off the gravy and leaves the morsels... and it has to be stone cold from the fridge ! Blend in a mug (saves splatter and spread!),1x sachet..(she knows if I do 3 or 4 in larger vessel -it must lose it's tastiness!?) , give half a serving, then you can put a 2nd sachet in and blend for later(save washing up!). Hates the biscuits and beef, fish and loaf pouches...but in emergency suffered beef. Pros: No waste compared to previous ... MoreRidiculously fussy indoor cat aged 17 and 3/4. Self inflicted con: Blending! Pro: Happy girl.

I have been asked to give a review from this company on this product, Unfortunately I never received this order so cannot I provide a review it. I have always shopped with this company and found them to be great to deal with, but this recent shop for me was not a good experience, The person i was communicating with didn't seem to realize the importance of this product being a Renal Vet Prescription food, which I needed as I was running out of it. I was mucked around with emails getting me nowhere, in the end I asked for a refund & purchased elsewhere.

This is an expensive cat food but for a cat with chronic renal failure, it is a wonderful thing! My dear girl will eat this, which is wonderful. The pieces are a nice size. Some other prescription diet cat foods are too chunky for fussy, older cats.
I was really, really impressed with the quick response following the placing of our order. Our 13y.o. tabbby queen (with kidney issues) thought it was fantastic wet food. It gave me great pleasure to see her enjoying food that is really good for her.
My two elderly cats would lick up the sauce but the meat-type strips went untouched. At their age, I thought it best to give them something they’d actually eat. Other Royal Canin products are great but this and the accompanying dry food definitely weren’t popular, unfortunately.
Not even slightly exaggerating, but this food quite literally saved my cat's life. 17 year old monster, diagnosed 7 years ago. Put her on this straight away, and it made a huge difference almost immediately. I give her a mix of this and the Royal Canin Renal dry food, as she's a fussy little monster and sometimes will not eat it - but that's just because she wants the "normal" cat food her kitty sister gets. Her kidney levels are now better than a cat half her age, and I give full credit to this food. Obviously, every kitty is different, and the sad reality is that none of us who need this for our little furry friends will never be able to cure them, but I fully believe that if it wasn't for this product, I would have lost her years ago. Oh and MPW are amazing! ... MoreNot even slightly exaggerating, but this food quite literally saved my cat's life. 17 year old monster, diagnosed 7 years ago. After discovering my cat had renal issues she starting getting repeated UTI's so I started her on Royal canin Chicken wet food. Which caused her constipation and excessive thirst. Since being on the Royal canin the UTI's have gone and her renal levels have even dropped down... She seems fine on Royal canin Early renal which has higher fibre content and lower sodium but I have to buy it else were as its not stocked here. :-(
I was unsure about these. After my vet recommended my 12yr old male cat needed to go onto them, As his kneecap was misshaped and not locking correctly, so he needed to lose weight, to take some of that weight off his poorly knees. I bought 1.5kg bag off the vet. And to my complete dismay, ALL THREE CATS ABSOLUTELY LOVED THESE CAT BISCUITS. They all usually have "posh taste" and only eat purina one biscuits or james wellbeloved. so I was rreally pleased they all enjoyed these. I have two slightly overweight cats. My 12yr old mate with the poorly knee, He lost 5lb in 4 weeks just by being on these diet biscuits. Stage 1 balance. I then ordered the largest size 10kg bag And it lasted forever. I have only just finished it off now and have come back to order more for them. If your unsure, id say buy the smaller bag to begin with. Although pets at home smallest bag is 1.5kg for around £11 odd, Please note that ALL VETS DO SELL THE 400g sized bags and 800g, startin from £4 roughly. Id say get a trial sized bag first. As they are expensive biscuits to buy especially if your cat doesnt like them, Although judging from how my cats reacted to them, Id say these are a winner :)
First, let me say how impressed I am with the speedy delivery from Sydney to Melbourne. I think it was two days only, very impressive! Second, my cat Zuko loves his early renal dry food. That's all he eats. It keeps him in perfect condition. We are two happy customers. Thanks Pet Circle!
