Rug Doctor RUGDOC93170 Deep Carpet Cleaner

I bought this cleaner based on the reviews I read on here.I am pleased with the cleaner, it cleaned the carpet very well. My carpet had not been cleaned before and I have pets so I cleaned the carpet twice as the water was very dirty the first time. I went over the carpet after cleaning without any solution to suck up excess water. The carpet was only slightly damp afterwards. I haven’t used the tools yet.It takes a little practice to get used to it. I found an online video useful. It’s best to work in lines, as if mowing the grass, so you keep track of where you have been. The cleaner needs to be lifted slightly onto the back wheels to go forward. Changing the tanks is straightforward and putting a shower head inside the dirty water tank is great for cleaning it out. I would recommend buying additional detergent before you start as the sample enclosed doesn’t last long as the clean water tank empties quite quickly.Overall I am very pleased with the rug doctor and think it is a good investment that will last for many years.

Excellent carpet cleaner, definitely worth the money.

We've just used the Rug Doctor for the first time and we are surprised at how good it is. We've always hired the big Rug Doctors from the supermarket. We were expecting to get anywhere near as good results as we did with the hired unit,but we did. It lifted all the stains we had and even got ride of the dirt line we always end up with from the dogs rug.We live on a farm with 3 dogs and as you can imagine we do bring some dirt into the house, even though we take shoes off at the door and wipe dog paws down before they come into the house. This Rug Doctor got ride of it all.We purchased a cheaper carpet washer before this one, simply due to the price being alot cheaper and the reviews were pretty good. Where as the Rug Doctor left the carpets nearly dry and they smelling nice and fresh. We used the same carpet situation with both units so that wasn't to blame. I would definitely recommend paying the extra and getting this rather than a cheaper carpet cleaner.I've added a before and after pictures to show how well it cleaned the carpet. I'll be honest I only gave it a quick once over due to lack of time. But I think once we get the room emptied and do the whole carpet properly the results will be even better.

Furniture tool

I rented a very clean unit from HD. Price was right and service was great. Used the machine in 3 rooms and it worked pretty well on two of the rooms. ( third room was a kids room, so many of the stains didnt come out). Not the machines fault, the carpet had never been cleaned in that room for years... So overall I am mostly pleased with the carpet cleaning part. Bigger problem was with the furniture tool. Hooked up easy enough however the instructions on the machine never said anything about having to push the red button to get the water flowing to the wand. I figured that part out. When I started using it on some couch cushions, the water flowed out way faster than it could be sucked up. The water would pool up and run to areas I didnt want wet. Outstanding

We bought this after our Vax kept leaking and tripping the electrics in our house. We thought the Vax was good but this is on a different level. Even where we had already cleaned the carpets with the Vax we still got dirty water. This is so much easier to use. Remove the top tank fill with warm water, the cap is also the measure so fill that with cleaning fluid, pour it in, replace the cap and drop the tank back in it's slot. The suction of this is also very good. You use it by pulling backwards and it sucks up nearly all the water on the one pass as I made a second pass to suck up any excess water and on nearly every occasion there wasn't any. The tool is also just as impressive. The tool also made little effort of the dirt in the doorways and it probably took about half an hour to clean his hallway carpet.

Review of RUG DOCTOR 93170 Deep Carpet Cleaner - Red & Grey

Brilliant carpet cleaner. It made my carpets look so fresh clean. I was embarrassed to show my family the colour difference it made to my 4 year old carpets. Now I use this every month for a quick freshen up. Great at removing dirty stains and spills especially if you habe children like mine who spill things on carpet. Really impressed and was worth the purchase as I'm officially hooked and addicted to using the rug doctor. The rug doctor can be a bit noisy but that doesn't bother us. Xx

Serious machine

I had the most amazingly dirty carpets that had never been cleaned in 7 years and lots of soil, sand, dirt and mould tracked in from outsideEven after 8 cleans in some areas the waste water was dark black. It took 8-12 cleans to get the carpet as good as possible and it's very clean now.So these bad (commercial grade) carpets were saved for a lot more use and the better bedroom carpets came up as good as any commercial clean i've had. The best ever

I had this delivered Tuesday, the only thing to assemble was the grey plastic plate onto the back of the hoover to attach your nozzle to. So up and running within mins it comes with a very small bottle of cleaning liquid enough to fill 3 times. My carpets are dark so I didn’t expect to see a lot of difference but wow the water was black from doing my frontroom & stairs. We don’t even wear shoes in my home and I’ve no pets so was shocked. I even tried it on my sofa which again I don’t allow food in my frontroom and I don’t have small children so didn’t expect to see the water dirty but it was. I guess from the oils etc from your skin where you lean on the arms. I didn’t have any problems pushing it or pulling it backwards to suck up after washing.When doing the stairs I got half way up and then carried it to the top of the stairs and worked my way back down to where I left off.It has a cut out so when the bottom tank is full you just empty and carry on.It comes with a small sample bottle but I brought a 4 litre one ready. It is a lot of money granted but so worth every penny wish I had brought it ages back now.Delivery was great It arrived a day earlier than it said when I ordered it, was kept fully updated of when it would arrive and could even see what number I was on tracking & where my courier was.I fully recommend the Rug doctor cleaner and would buy again when this one comes to its end of life.I’m sorry I didn’t take any photos was to excited to clean the whole house as soon as it arrived.
