A nice quiet unit that is exactly what other reviewers described. The purchase and delivery was easy and timely with no problems. The only negative I can see is the kettle is a bit wobbly on its base. A quick check revealed that the base has 3 feet onto the cupboard. Its De Longhi predecessor had 6 and was rock solid. But this does not detract from its functionality at all.

Having gone through, on average, a cordless kettle every 2 years, I realised that it was time to bite the bullet, stop buying those cheap ones and invest in something with a good reputation. The Russell Hobbs kettle has this along with the appearance I like . Also its claims to having the perfect spout for pouring proved to be spot on. I like that. Things that I have also found appealing but had not heard mentioned were how ergonomically sound the handle is (much easier to lift off the base). and how quiet this kettle is. The wide opening at the top makes it far easier to keep clean as well. It is simply a great kettle that just happens to look fantastic. I love it.

I have used this kettle for six months and it does the job very well. The wide lid makes it easy to fill. The capacity is the standard 1.7L, although the level marking is difficult to read, but the glass means you can see how much water is in the kettle.Be aware that the glass body is heavy and may not suit someone with grip problems.Best kettle I've bought so far (had a few in the past).

Easy to use, looks sleek, best features are: 1) being able to see the water levels inside and 2) the button on top of the handle flicks the lid open when pressed, which means I’ll never burn my hands again trying to remove the lid from a hot kettle! (which is a design flaw on many cheap kettles). Very happy I upgraded to this much better quality kettle. My only slight disappointment is that the kettle is just as loud as cheap kettles when it begins heating up and boiling.
The kettle looks great (especially when it lights up blue while boiling... though I have to say it doesn't get as blue as the picture makes out, but it's still pretty!). The kettle works properly, and I haven't had any issues with it. Also, it's doesn't make excess noise, which is great. I've only had it a month so far, but based on this month I would recommend it.
After owning a few metal kettles, the first thing that surprised me was how light this kettle was. Maybe the others were just heavy, but that's what stood out for me.It is also quiet. It is by no means silent, but significantly quieter than the last kettle we had. Finally, the pouring action and spout is great. That may seem like something all kettles would do well but once you've experienced a kettle that doesn't, you will realise how important that is.I would definitely buy this kettle again.
We needed a new kettle as our old one died. It had a blue light up so we wanted something similar. this matched the aesthetic we are going for and I liked the blue light and glass to see it boiling. What I don't like is the pour on it. You have to tip it a fair way over to get water out and if you go too far it comes out of the lid. The bottom is already starting to mark/rust due to where the air hits when you tip the kettle over - being glass it's easy to see this.I like the kettle but I was a little disappointed. I miss the pour on my old kettle, but I really like the look and style of this new one. I'm sure I'll get used to it in time.
I brought this jug nearly 1 year ago and have had so many issues with it which I was willing to ignore, but now it won't even turn on. Considering it's on the expensive end of the scale for a jug it's performed rather poorly. Firstly, it does not sit couch on the base so always wobbles while it's boiling, then I noticed brown stains developing on the bottom which wouldn't come off so I emailed Russell Hobbs to see if there was any product that could clean it off or if certain qualities of water that made this happen and all they said was to return it for a replacement, which I would assume would just have the same issue and hasn't solved the problem. Now it won't boil at all when you flick the switch down, only after about 20 attempts it might decide it wants to ... MoreI brought this jug nearly 1 year ago and have had so many issues with it which I was willing to ignore, but now it won't even turn on. I love the look of this jug so it's been a disappointing experience and I've compared this jug with other brands that my friends have, and they've never had these issues and spent about half the money.
Does what it’s meant to do. It’s quiet & boils water in a decent amount of time. It’s very light compared to my previous Sunbeam glass kettle which was a tad faster at boiling water. The build quality doesn’t appear as good as there is more plastic to its construction as opposed to stainless steel however the trade off is a lighter kettle. Easier on the wrist & arm for those who require it. Cheaper than my previous Sunbeam so thought I give it go. Delivery was super fast by AOL.
This is a nice glass kettle. It is a little heavy, the measurements could be bolder and larger and the switch could be sturdier. The copper look is stylish and hasn't come off after a few weeks use. I'm not sure how to clean it best. I love the blue light at night. So far it is much better than my last kettle which was a different brand and broke before first use. Overall I am satisfied with this kettle. It does the job!
