The RYOBI 18V ONE+ Multi Tool is great for DIY projects, home repairs and renovations, such as cutting openings in plasterboard, removing embedded screws, grout, undercutting door jambs and a lot more. Have only used for sanding at this stage. Very effective in tight areas and variable speed is handy. The sanding pads that come with the unit are pretty useless, not sticking well to the pad, but spending a bit more on better quality sanding pads solves that problem. The tool itself is good though.

This tool is another solid performer. I use this and other Ryobi tools quite a lot and I continue to be impressed by the price / performance ratio - it probably is the best in the industry. The multi-tool uses the de-facto industry standard for the blade attachment so it will work with blades from a wide range of suppliers. Another important thing is that the Ryobi 18V range has maintained compatibility since the days of the old 18V NiMH batteries and I still use some older tools from that era with the new batteries.

This was bought for me as a gift a couple of years ago, and it’s been a great tool. My one gripe however is the price of replacement parts. I’ve used the wood/metal saw blade mostly, and it’s now blunt. I found a site for replacement parts (not sure if available at Bunnings), and the price of the blade is $34.10 + $11 shipping! I think this is excessive to the extreme, considering the price of the entire unit is currently $99.98 at Bunnings. For the record, I have not bought the replacement blade.

I bought this to remove cornices when replacing my ceiling. Worked well and made the job much easier. I gave it a pretty thorough workout. It did tend to get hot at times. I used the cutting blades and the sander attachment. Quite happy with it.
My previous Ryobi multi tool was 9 years and 8 months old and literally feel to pieces through wear and tear. It was a great machine but deserved a well-earned retirement. I decided to buy another Ryobi multi tool to replace it and I'm very happy with the latest model. If I was to change one thing, I would put a finger guard over the activation trigger as it is easy to accidentally turn it on. Overall, a great improvement and I hope to get another 9 years out of the new tool.
Not a bad little item, I use it mainly when laying my now floor, to cut some extra space under the skirting boards. Have also used for cutting through boards with nails and it did fairly well.Light weight, so is easy to handle.Comes with the basic cutting tools but no battery.Overall, a useful tool that everyone should have in their toolbox.
What an excellent tool. I work in a fabrication shop which builds slide on campers. And where this multi-tool shines is when we need to notch a peice of alloy out of the extrusion to mount other components. Why it shines? Well with the use of its moveable head and being able to cut neater and more flush than an angle grinder. Plus being able to control the speed more and the saftey aspect of the tool not grabbing because of the confined space.
I was initially given a Ryobi mouse sander as a gift, and have continued to purchase more, as they are all excellent tools for the DIY user. The Multi-tool, like all of my other tools is light, intuitive to use without studying the manual and very effective. I have only had the Multi-tool for a few weeks and it’s performance and quality are equal to the others I have collected over 5 years. Add to this the competitive pricing and battery compatibility and longevity across the range, and I have a set of equipment I can rely on for any job anywhere.
The cutting blades are very poor quality. The blades also come loose when you are using the product so you need to be very careful. There is no universal adaptor included despite the youtube videos saying there is. I should have bought the ryobi multi material saw instead. This was a waste of money.

There are a few things to be careful about regarding the grout removal technique but as far as the performance of the tool is concerned it cannot be faulted. I would recommend spending the extra money to get the cordless version of this multi-tool simply because it means one doesn’t struggle with cables especially when de-grouting in tight corners. Fitting other types of blades/attachments is straight forward, a little fiddly, one uses an Allan key to undo the lock- nut, most other manufacturers blades fitted well with a good range of adjustment. The tool comes with a sanding attachment which uses “ Velcro” hook & loop system to attach sanding sheets, I found I had to be careful not to sand too heavily as on higher settings as the sanding process was very effective & removed paint on intricate mouldings veryquickly. I would recommend using the lower speed setting until you become aware of how effective this tool is at sanding or (in my case) grout removal.This tool appears to have many other uses than what I bought it for, I have only used the cutter blade once & it completed this task very quickly, again I would say practice first until you see how quickly & effectively this tool performs.I have attached a picture of my multi - tool after cleaning it following grout removal. It was heavily coated with grout powder but never missed a beat, it took a few blasts with compressed air to get all the powder out of the casing but it cleaned up very well as is ready for my next big sanding project.
