I have been using these batteries on the 36V Whipper snipper. Give plenty of power and good battery life. No good to the 18 inch chainsaw on large logs. Go for something bigger.

The two 6 amp h battery's I got with my mower tend to be too heavy for some of my other garden tools. These are lighter and they seem to be easier to fit into the tool.they were good $value and should allow me to expand my 36v range of garden tools. The only thing I miss is the holding strap that is on the 6ah.

This has to be the best offer ryobi has. $249 for a single 4amp 36v battery or 2 for the same price!Thats insane!!Really a no brainer when deciding what 36v battery range to get

This new design is going backwards compared to the previous design 5Ah battery (the one with rubber protection). This 36v is NOT backward compatible on my not-so-old self-propelled mower (2019, RLM36B50HP) — the battery cover would not close. And, the only other option to buy extra battery for my mower is to buy the 2Ah battery (too small). The original reason I buy Ryobi tools is that they maintain backward compatible, and therefore I can keep these tools for a longer time without needing to upgrade. But their recent 36v batteries design would force the consumers to upgrade sooner than later — not so good. This new 36v battery compared to the previous 36v, 5.0Ah battery design:Pros:- a tad lighter (but also with smaller capacity)Cons:- Smaller capacity than ... MoreThis new design is going backwards compared to the previous design 5Ah battery (the one with rubber protection). Highly likely to break when dropped on the floor. In comparison, my old 36v have rubber bumpers around them and they didn’t cracked despite of accidental drops.- Would not fit into my 2019 mower. The Battery cover would not close (RLM36B50HP). The only other alternative available is 2AH, which is too small. The customer is left with a tool that has no battery support sooner than later (actually now no where to buy the original 36v 5AH battery)- Limited handling using a single hand. Can be carried using a single hand on one end only. In comparison to the older version where it can be confidently carried single handedly on either ends — because of there are notches for finger at “both ends”.What where they thinking? I hope Ryobi maintains backward compatibility modeling seriously. Otherwise, there are lots of choices these days to make a switch.
This battery is a good compromise of weight and capacity. I hope the BMS issues (need to reset every now and then) are sorted by now. Works well in line trimmer but does get hot in the chain saw, perhaps the 6Ah pack would be the better choice in this application.
What can you say just having purchased these and you are asked for a review? After waiting a year they finally arrived, although they only 4 Ah, 12Ah where need, (32V power station), but they are lighter and quicker to charge than 12 A/h seem to run a new mulching machine ok yet to be test on a spray pack. More important has the petrol tank lights so you have some idea of how much battery you have left, missing off a RLF4K or RPLL4K. Seems ok on the RBT36300 charging RB4L20s, but have used 9v equipment in the past, talk to me in 10 years when it comes to good value in a battery!
I purchased this new battery pack to replace the three broken batteries. I waited for months for this set to come in as I simply cannot justify paying the exact same price for only one battery year round... The batteries I had at home were relatively low use, one just failed after the other... I am appalled they are no longer backward-compatible. Now my $500 brushless 36v chainsaw is useless!!!!! I cannot even insert the battery into it... That's terrible Ryobi. I am so disappointed. I have thousands of dollars worth of your tools, 18v and 36v. I will probably never buy another 36v skin again because you have done this... I only bought this chainsaw around 4 years ago... now my only option is a 2ah batter that does not have the HP function and barely powers the saw ... MoreI purchased this new battery pack to replace the three broken batteries. I was going to buy a new battery after my first one started blinking red and green (if it blinks red/green it means to read the manual). The online manual said to reset the charger or replace the battery. I then found a video that shows you how to reset the battery. I have now successfully reset my battery and it charges perfectly! I just saved myself $250 from buying a new one. You can find this video online by searching "how to reset ryobi 36v battery". Good luck!
It is rare that a 36v pack comes along at such a reasonable price. With 2 batteries it allows less chopping and changing during activities, or loading up a dual-battery lawn mower.Reasonable capacity means I can get through the yard without pausing for a recharge!
I was disappointed when 36 volt vacuum I bought had bag problems when I bought ob=ver 4 years ago. I tried taking back and was given a bag but did not seem to fit. I tool back again but the so called Ryobi guy could not explain. It was a continuing hassle. In end I gave upping back. Gave up using the machine. A bit over 3 years passed and battery dead presumably from non use. Rang Ryobi they showed me no understanding. I have finally returned to store toes about buying a new battery but first make sure my hardly used machine still actually worked. It of course did. And the guy in shop brought out a replacement bag. Turned out I had to change the collar fitting. That is OK but previous guy could not tell me that despite me making several attempts to understand why ... MoreI was disappointed when 36 volt vacuum I bought had bag problems when I bought ob=ver 4 years ago. Anyways new guy gave me bag. Wow. As for buying batteries best I could get was the apparent current offer to all 2 batteries fr price one. That is great if I had not had all the previous waste and non use of machine and previous battery.
