Best cleaning tool ever! Used this scrubber to clean my 20 year old stained fence. Not even a pressure washer could wash off the stains! Very light wait. I like how the brush can tilt so thats you can apply a little pressure to clean in a comfortable position. Thought the “hard” bristles was not strong enough but it was very impressive and cleaned better than expected. I also used barkeepers friend on the fence and gave it a scrub with my power scrubber and it was like magic. Thank goodness for this power scrubber! Just don’t forget to by the ryobi battery pack for it! Its not included.

Bought this last fall when I went to get some things to prep for winter. Pulled it out yesterday to clean the deck & the head seized on it within minutes. It stopped spinning and started screaming, by the time I had hit the switch to turn it off the battery compartment was full of smoke. Of course I tossed the receipt thinking it was just for salt and a new shovel. So looks like I am out $100.Just went through the same scenario with my lawn mower battery. Died after 2 seasons. Ran in to the Ryobi rep while looking for a replacement. He told me there was a 3 year warranty. Told him I didn’t have my receipt from 2 years ago and his suggestion… we’ll then just buy the cheapest tool with a 40V battery. Thanks for the help….

I would give this product zero stars if I could. A COMPLETE waste of money. It is heavy (and I am a very strong woman), it has virtually no torque (meaning that if you put even the slightest pressure on it - it stops spinning - plus the RPM is so slow, I can scrub faster manually). You have to basically float it over a surface to get it to spin and it is so big and clunky that it is impossible to clean anything evenly. I used it on one bathroom and I had to go back over everything by hand - so what is the point? Plus you have to buy the charger separately. CRAPPY PRODUCT!

The first unit died within 3 minutes. Refused to turn, just clicking. The battery showed full power. Returned to Home Depot, got a replacement. That one died in about 10 minutes. Apparently there is something wrong with the burrs and/or fitment of the chuck with threads on Reddit on how to fix this (complete disassembly and sanding). Was very very disappointed as this was my first Ryobi 18V ONE+ product. This should be recalled. Have to make a third trip to Home Depot to return it.
I bought this to clean the tile in my shower. I was happy that I was able to use my existing batteries with this tool. Started cleaning the tile in my shower and it lasted less than 5 minutes. The battery compartment filled with smoke and the tool died. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I own a ton of Ryobi cordless tools and have never been disappointed until now. I guess I’ll be returning it. I should have heeded the warning from other people that have had the same thing happen.
Died on second use. Seems to be a knowen issue. Ryobi is replacing but was a huge waste of time and ended up cleaning what I needed to by hand. Only bought this for occasional use. Have dozens of 18v and 40v products and have been mostly happy. Over the past 12 months I've has a 40v battery die, lawn mower give issues and this was my most recent issue. Hopefully they will address this on the next model
I own several ryobi products so I was looking forward to expand my collection of cordless tools. Last year I was eyeing this scrubber, but held back due to poor reviews.Comes the 2022 promotion, and I thought hey - why not give this tool a chance... but it was a mistake. I've read the instructions carefully, assembled the head as indicated, and started scrubbing, It worked awesome for about 10 minutes, and then just died.I thought I had already drained the battery, but as I proceeded to swap the battery, the machine was smoking up and smelled like burnt plastic.I won't even replace this unit, I'll simply get a refund. Apparently, last year's problems have not been addressed.
I purchased the Power Scrubber a few weeks ago and I was disappointed to find that this product will only fit the proprietary triangle brush heads Ryobi makes in 6" diameters. You can't fit smaller diameter brush heads on this unit at this time. Ryobi does make brush heads in smaller diameters however, those brushes fit normal drill chucks and not the Power Scrubber itself. The Power Scrubber only fits the 6" diameter brushes that Ryobi makes in, soft, medium, and hard brush bristles. This limitation makes it very difficult to scrub tough angles like the corners of bathtubs or showers. To get at those angles you need to purchase the smaller diameter brush heads that fit in a standard drill chuck. To be honest you would be better off purchasing the brush heads that fit normal drill chucks since you can get those in any size Ryobi has to offer and they will fit in a normal drill and are overall cheaper. The Power Scrubber is a great idea and makes cleaning things like counters, bathroom walls, and other large surfaces extremely easy but falls short with the proprietary chuck design. Don't expect to get into any tight angles without having smaller diameter brush heads.
I was going to use this to clean up the deck boards and it worked great... for 15 minutes and then chugged to a halt. I thought it was the battery but a fresh one didn't resurrect it from the dead. Came back here and read the reviews and thought I'd give Home Depot and Ryobi a second chance but had similar results with it also. Too bad, great idea: poor execution. Does it need a better motor or metal gearing? Took the refund.Sad Face.
I have had this tool dor about a year. The first one I got burned out on first use, I got it replaced and it could never go more than 10 minutes of light work before overheating and now the aecond one dies as well and I haven't even got any signs of wear on the brushes. Its a complete waste of money. I have loads of Ryobi OnePlus tools - this one is complete garbage, I have 4 brushes and a tool thay doesn't work - a complete waste of money.
