This is my first experience with a fogger of any brand. I like that it is capable of doing a couple things, not just insecticide. The battery took approximately an hour to fully charge for the first use. I didn't find this to be a problem since I wasn't using the fogger right away. It has a nice, large hole to pour into. The fog or mist that comes out of it goes fairly far(see picture) and does not spray back. My husband was able to spray this without getting anything on him during a day that was not windy. It is a little loud but that is to be expected I guess.

A cheaper solution to spraying a large amount of disinfectant during Covid-19

I bought this to use as a portable disinfectant sprayer, a cheaper solution to the portable Geneon Mist blower. The Ryobi is relatively loud and when used indoors it can be a little irritating. I wouldn't have labeled this as a "fogger" or even a mister, it is literally a powered sprayer, not a fogger. The unit is definitely for outdoors as it sprays a heavy concentration of liquid that would require a good amount of time to dry indoors or be wiped or mopped up unlike the Geneon fogger which is literally a fogger with fine particles that float like a cloud until settled. For its price though, the Ryobi does what it was intended to do and for a cheap price compared to a higher end fogger. Does not mist adequately.

Bought and like other reviewers have stated it mists, but there is a steady stream coming out the middle of the mist. Seems to mist around half of the liquid coming out. I presume the nozzle is too big or the fan is not powerful enough. Will be returning today as not misting as advertised. Spoke to Ryobi and apparently a new batch of the product is coming in September 2022, so maybe wait till summer when all this batch with issues is moved on. Disappointing that its still sold and not removed from shelves...

Fails to Impress

I brought this product from Bunning Porirua (NZ) about two weeks ago. Only used it twice before taking it back and asking for a refund. The guy in the Bunnings gardening section tried to make me take a replacement but as I'd belatedly read the reviews, I knew the replacement would likely be just as rubbish as the first one. Mine was behaving the same way numerous other reviewers have said theirs behaved. Initially only squirted out a stream of water before eventually (and intermittently) misting. 2nd time I used it, it wouldn't mist at all - only produced a weak stream of water (and yes, the cap was on properly). Clearly Royobi know this product is a dud should recall it. I suspect Bunnings know it as well but keep selling them.

Got the little buggers

Needed to control an increase in mozzies after a wet winter and my Ryobi spray pack was set up for weed killer. So I purchased this great tool along with the required ingredients.The unit worked well, only minor issue was to keep it level so the pickup worked when spraying in and around/under bushes.

Great for coverage

This mister/fogger did a great job at dispersing insecticide into our hedges. It seemed much better coverage in less time. It’s louder than I expected and there’s not much in the way of instructions on what to use and most chemicals don’t give instructions for use with this kind of tool.

It's like a car wash for your plants !

With my Illawarra Flame Tree suffering from Kurrajong Leaf-tier, I decided to purchase your Mister / Fogger. With the tree being 5 metres high, treating the annoying critters on the leaves was previously near impossible. However, using the mister / fogger was excellent, with great coverage of the tree canopy. Now to tackle the leaf scale on my heliconia's !

Mister Mister - Doesn't want to mist for too long!

Great concept however i have found that nearly all chemicals that i add to the mix tend to clog up the fine mesh filter on the suction hose in the tank. The mister will stop misting within the first couple of minutes and after I initially thought the machine was a lemon, I flicked out the intake hose and found the fine mesh was already clogged up. Once cleaned the mister worked fine again for a few minutes until it clogged again. Haven't yet taken the filter out to see if it will work much better. This is the most disappointing Ryobi tool i have owned. Very happy with all my other ones.

Not suitable for advertised "Cold fogging technology suitable for insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, OR general household cleaning products", extremely poor design making it not fit for purpose

noisy and very poorly thought-out mister/fogger concept. Pressurising the tank instead of using a dosing pump means very inconsistent product flow. The air pumped into the liquid causes extreme foaming of some chemicals (Ryobi must have never heard of "wetting agent" to be added to certain products!). The tank also takes time to pressurise (delay in starting to spray) and dribbles on after the fan has stopped (delay in de-pressurising). I might void the warranty, rip the pressurising pump out and install a small dosing pump instead, just use the tank and the blower.

Ryobi fogger

It is not better than expected but it is a good as I hoped it would be. It is used to sanitize the church Sanctuary between and after the 2 Sunday morning services. The range of the fogging action reaches nearly the length of a pew so a single tank is more than enough to do a treatment, and time wise it goes quickly allowing the pew to dry before the next service. It easily fogs a distance of 16-18 feet. One drawback is when the pump/fan trigger is released there is a stream of water for 3-4 seconds before the pressure in the tank is dissipated. We learned to take a paper towel to hold over the nozzle to absorb this water before it soaks the pew pads or carpet. Keep this in mind if the machine is to be used indoors.
