Samsonite Solyte DLX Expandable Softside Luggage With Spinner Wheels

My husband is military and we travel often. Because of an injury, carrying luggage was so hard for me until I bought this. It’s so light and sound in every direction. Escalators are so easy now with this luggage piece. I also love the color. I can easily find it when picking up my luggage!

I love the suitcase. I.ove that there is no two sides to it. You open up the suitcase and all your stuff is there on one side. No need to unpack. You dont have to worry about everything falling all over. Took it to Vegas with the girls. They wondered why i .preferred that type.of.case until they saw i didnt have to.have mine spread out everywhere.

I decided to go with this brand because it’s well established and the maneuvering seemed so easy. On my second trip the tire got jammed. So disappointed after all the money I paid. I took it to a repair shop and it was too expensive to repair, might as well purchase a new one. Maybe I had bad luck but I won’t be purchasing Samsonite anymore.

I've had this same bag for 15 years and the wheel and handle just broke off. It's been around the world with me 23 times. Bought this new bag as a replacement and it's incredibly durable (Same model, features, wheels, zippers, soft shell, etc.) BUT... was marketed as a 22-inch bag and when it arrived was only 20 inches tall with an interior of 19 inches. I use it for my laptop and this was literally a couple of inches too small for my needs. I sent it back and bought the bigger version. NOTE: CHECK the specs on the listing pages. If the 22-inch is unavailable, you will be re-routed to the "next available" bag and may purchase the smaller bag without knowing it. This bag though, will take a beating and last for years.

This is such a great carryon to travel with. The hard exterior case is made solid and is easy to clean. It features four wheels that easily glide across multiple surfaces; turning is a breeze. The interior features include one zip closure side for loose items, a snap x’d closure for clothing and a zipper pouch large enough for TSA approved sized toiletries. The handle itself adjust to multiple heights, based on preference, and allows a quick return when pushing the button and handle down. The interior was roomy enough to accommodate weekend essentials for myself, my partner and my two young boys.

1 week Euro trip

Due to all of the issues with flying with checked luggage especially internationally, I opted to travel with a carryon only instead of checking a bag. This carry-on perfectly fit the overhead bins of a regional Delta jet as well as that of a bigger transatlantic flight. It is very maneuverable which came in handy when racing to make my extremely short connection. It is also very rugged as the suitcase was rolled onto a tram, train and 10 mins over uneven terrain to the hotel.

I was out of town for work related purposes for 5 days, and I must say that this Samsonite Carry-On is the best I've had thus far. It has a pocket for my laptop and/or tablet, one for shoes, a WetPak pocket which I absolutely love for liquids and if spilled they will not ruin the rest of your stuff; the USB port is super convenient that now I don't have to look around and find an outlet at the airport or station to plug my devices! .. and even the ID tag is very thoughtful as it is basically "hidden" but you know it's there. I can just conclude that Samsonite has really thought with detail and care about how and what would make someone traveling (whether be a few days or months) a delightful and stress free experience, because yes it does start with your suitcase, the packing experience and the ease of being at the airport or station and getting it as quickly and efficiently out of there.. simply remarkable!!!

I wanted a spinner to replace a two wheel roller. This matches the garment style Samsonite tri fold bag I use sometimes. Just returned from a cruise to Hawaii and it worked well. Survived the airline and cruise line handling of bags. The tri-fold garment bag has a sleeve to slip over the handle of this bag and it still rolls easily with the added weight. Just a bit top heavy so must be careful on escalators when so stacked. This bag also has a sleeve so can also slip over the handle of larger bag wife uses which is also Samsonite. This makes it easy for two people to roll four bags, with each roller having a nested bag with sleeve over the handle extended. The Samsonite Solyte DLX is possibly the perfect carryon for airline travel. Here is what makes it perfect; no carrying it through the airport with it's ideal 4 wheel design. If you have ever had to jog through a crowded airport to make it to your flight you would definitely appreciate the 360 degree rotation of the wheels. The wheels alone make a huge difference when you are not having to readjust your brag as you pull it through the airport. It has a USB port for charging on the go, you have to supply the rechargeable battery to actually charge your phone or tablet but still this is a great feature. It has a WetPak pocket that is nice for either travel size shampoo that might leak or possibly wet swimwear if you don't have time to dry them. Another nice touch, lots of pockets to organize me and the buckles that hold my clothes in place. The bag itself is made of rugged polyester and it features a 10 year warranty. As a huge Samsonite fan I was not disappointed in my new traveling companion this time either.

SoLyte DLX Extra Large Expandable Spinner

I purchased a Samsonite in 2019 loved it! Unfortunately, it was destroyed by the airline on my last trip. I ordered a SoLyte DLX Extra Large Expandable Spinner to replace it. It arrived must faster than when the estimated arrival date, which was great, via federal express. The quality of the material has changed, both interior and exterior. I was disappointed about that, hence the 3-star review. Everything about the bag is great, size wheels and storage compartments.
