I purchased it, from a popular IT distributor in Romania, on 09-Oct-2022 and it sat in the original packaging (due to a concurrence of circumstances) until 02-Oct-2024. In the same order were also 2 USBs from SanDisk. The SanDisks have a 60 month warranty, the Samsung only has a 24 month warranty. Today, 18-Oct-2024 (ie 9 days after the warranty expires), the Samsung is no longer working. But SanDisks are used daily. Of course, I tried everything that could be tried from different tutorials on YT, but when I saw that even the PC with Ubuntu no longer recognizes it, the same story on Synology, I said that I learned a lesson about Samsung at the price of 170 of RON. I am VERY proud that I had the inspiration NOT to store important information on the "FIT Plus 256GB ... The data transfer speeds were exactly what you'd expect from these specs. Don't get my wrong - the device did its job. My only complaint is aimed at its reliability, or better said: lack thereof. This isn't the only product from Samsung, that I've used, that fails eerily close to its warranty expiration date. Just saying.

I bought a few of these some time back and used them for backup purposes and transfering files between computers.Since it's so small, it can be hard to remove from a brand new computer as the sockets on the motherboard I/O panel are hard to get to and are extremely tight. This is good to have a great connection but improvements to the grip/handle of the flash drive would be great. Something that grips your fingers better. So I recommend these devices for portable or semi permanent installations or front panel of a PC, not the back. Also I should mention that it is fast for a USB drive! That saves hours of waiting for files to move.A 512GB and 1TB version would be awesome.

I've had mixed results with previous flash drives (not all worked out of the box with my windows PC, especially in the larger sizes. This one works like a dream and transfers data really fast with my 3.0 serial ports. My only reservations are with packaging - it is very hard to safely get the device out of the retail packaging. Even worse, nothing is provided to protect the USB end of the flash drive when not inserted into my PC or...I'm used to having either a user-installed cover, or a sliding case that hides the USB end when not inserted

Besides the obvious facts about how fast this flash drive is, which I'm sure other reviews will talk about, I wanted to take a moment and mention some of the other aspects. This flash drive looks and feels extremely durable. Some drives just feel flimsy but this one, after handling it for just a moment, makes you realize "okay, my data is actually safe from the everyday wear and tear that everything is inevitably going to go through". The drive has a very professional aesthetic to it, and is still able to pull off looking stylish. It even has a slot for a keychain ring. It fits nicely into any device without fear of it being weighted down. On the far edge of the drive, it displays "Samsung" with that same professional style to it. I would highly recommend this line ... I bought two, both arrived well packed and early. Both fully operational. Main complaint is the write speed of the flash drives. Only complaint is on Samsung's side, not B&H. Samsung advertises speeds UP TO 400MB/s, but during my own testing, the best I saw (writing) was 11-14 MB/s, both on a modern computer and a very old one. Which is.. okay I guess, but definitely not as advertised. I bought them on sale so I'm not too upset about it, and I was able to use both flash drives for both bootable usage and data transfer. Not fast at all, but fully operational.
The FIT Plus 256 FB is amazing. I have had it for a couple of months now. It is the fastest one I have used. I have not tested it, but it seems much faster than the others I have. And at 256 GB, the storage is huge. The physical size is very small. I lost it once among the papers and clutter on my desk and had a hard time finding it on my desk. I bought it to back up my photos and videos. I backed them all up and it took about 120 GB, so I have over half of the room left. I am considering buying another one just because they are so amazing.
For many years I always went back to samsung for thir fit drives as they are nice and compat. They are fast yet don't get too hot transferring many kinds of videos. Their value is always the best as they last long and I can always get more when I need more. I have been buying these kind if fit drives for many years. I have 10 of them scaterd from car tv computer and much more they are good and fast for the many years to come.
I have been using the 128GB and 256GB as backups for my computers and laptops for 4 plus years and they work great. They last and are durable enough to stay in place on portable devices pulling them in and out of cases. They've even stood up to the toughest test children. I've used them in 2 of my kids portable devices and have yet to have any issues or to have one break! These things are the best, only downside is how small they are, ironically it's also one of their biggest positive things. They are very fast for read and write!! I truly can't come up with any negatives, if there are any I haven't needed to deal with them. 😁
The Samsung FIT Plus is a USB flash drive. It’s compact, making it ideal for adding extra storage to your laptop. The read and write speeds are impressive, and it comes in multiple sizes I have. the 256GB. all models are available at affordable prices. With its consistent performance when storing large amounts of data. If you need a reliable, low-profile storage solution, the Samsung FIT Plus is a fantastic choice!
I bought this a couple weeks ago and am absolutely thrilled to finally have a usb flash drive over 32GB lol.I bought it specifically for my phone to add games and movies and stuff to and it works really well even with an old system running Win10.I loved it so much I bought it's 256GB USB-C version and I like that one even better bc it's way faster on my S24 Ultra. But this one is great for moving big files between my phone and older computer.
