I had a hard time with the fingerprint sensor (may have been because of my screen protector), but I found ways to overcome the difficulty. The first thing I did was re-register my fingerprint when the screen protector was on, and record several instances of my finger. The sensor, despite being ultrasonic, may take a while to recognize the fingerprint. It may also get some time before you get used to the sensor, as it may take a while the first couple of weeks.Lastly, the display is AMAZING. Having upgraded from a 2 year device, I thought the display would only be a slight improvement. But no, it comes with 60-120hz display and I have seen almost zero lag when watching videos or playing games. (Btw this phone plays high performance games like genshin impact like a boss).This is easily a phone which I would give a 10/10. After getting used to this device, the drawbacks don't really matter or become relevant.

Best Phone Ever

All my life I've always just settled for the cheapest phones or when getting on a new plan I went straight for the free phones only, no further because 99% of thr time I just couldn't afford it or I would refuse to spend hundreds of dollars on something I most likely would've destroyed in less then A month. I want that phone protected from all! (LOL) I'm willing to spend a good amount for something that is absolutely "Me" proof." I finally find the perfect case and off I go with my new phone. Here I am 7mos. later and able to truthfully say, this S23+ is the best phone I've ever purchased and I'm now a Samsung Brand Lifetime fan 100% forever!

Doesnt live up to the"plus", get an S23 Ultra

After about 6 months of use my opinion of the S23+ is lukewarm. I've owned one device in every odd-numbered series of the Galaxy S from S3 to S23: they have consistently lasted roughly 2 years for me before issues arise that require them to be replaced. The 23+ seems to be degrading faster than any of the others. I do not have confidence that it will be functional until the S25 series is released.As always there are good and bad qualities that stick out. ONE of the cameras is really great: the main back camera between 1x-3x zoom is the absolute best camera I have ever had, period. The other cameras all have a very hard time in lower light or from a distance, producing grainy and blurry results.The touchscreen is super duper sensitive to moisture. On a rainy day it's useless.Most other features of the phone have been uniformly mediocre. My previous phone was an S21 Ultra, which was much more impressive, above-and-beyond expectations. I decided to give the 23+ a chance due to size and cost factors.I think the S23 Ultra would have been a much better choice.

Easy Recommendation

I've had a Samsung phone nearly every year since the Note 4 came out back in 2014. While I was enthralled with the infinity display on the Galaxy S8, future versions of the phone didn't really grab me in any way. The S20-S22 line was a solid device but the S23+ feels like a mature, confident product that I'm happy and grateful to have as my daily driver.The setup process moving from another Galaxy was seamless, even automatically logging me into some of my apps. Overnight, when the phone is idle, it still loses about 1% per hour, which seems high to me, but maybe it isn't. From what I have read, it is about average for most smart phones out there in the market. The other is I wish it had a headphone jack. If I wanted an iPhone, I would have bought one.But great phone and I will continue to buy Samuang Galaxy S phones.

Great phone, but poor connectivity with 5G

This is my 3rd Samsung smartphone and I have always had good experiences with their products. As an upgrade from an old S8, I like the larger screen, since I use the phone instead of a computer for everything from paying bills to browsing. The thing that's keeping me from enjoying any kind of improved performance seems to have a lot to do with my distance from the nearest cell tower. It seems the 5G signal is intermittent, but when it switches to 4G it's good. When it runs 5G, I experience problems with web pages when the browser times out, giving me site cannot be reached messages. Regardless of whatever reason, I am stuck with slower internet speeds than my old S8 half of the time! The other thing that's irritating is in the text app. I used to be able to tap icons to the left of each text for mass deletions of junk texts on my old phone. My last complaint is the accidental touch protection is a little too active when purposely try to touch a spot on the screen if your hand isn't perfectly steady. I will attempt to modify the screen sensitivity to see if it can be improved. Bottom line: if you live in the city, this would be an awesome phone; rural areas may be problematic trying to run 5G data if the cell tower isn't close.

Great phone. A little wider than some models

I've really liked this Samsung Galaxy s23 Plus. I switched after years of iPhones but I have had plenty of Android devices in the past also. The number one thing I like I think is the speed. And also that you can change the UI speed in settings. Tied for first place is the light weight and medium size of the s23 Plus. That's the main reason I got it instead of the s23 ultra. I'm okay without the pen that you get on the ultra. I had to remove it. So I have been using the phone without a screen protector so I'm pretty sure I'm going to scratch up the screen eventually. But without a screen protector, the fingerprint sensor works extremely well.
