(both USB A and USB C) I decided to go for it. Arrived today, the usb c cord integrated under the stand if well thought out to exit the stand, enter the hole in the iMac stand, then plug in to the thunderbolt/usb c slot. It offers a SD card reader now facing you instead of reaching behind the iMac. It raises my iMac loose to 2 inches. Sturdy, aluminum, rubber feet to prevent sliding, and it works great. Very please to purchase this stand and will update down the road.

I have had my 27" iMac for years and have always found it a bit frustrating having the USB ports at the back of the monitor. Now, I have access to everything I need at the front as well as the SD Card readers that I use daily without the need for a card reader. I would have loved a CF Reader as well but that's just being picky.There is a little, soft, white light on the front of the hub which tells me when I've forgotten to turn my computer off. I was really worried that the height would throw off the way I viewed my computer but have found it has actually helped in my instance a little bit.Definitely wish I had bought this sooner

Picked this up for my wife who is a photographer. She has a M1 Mac mini and needed to plug full sized SD card to transfer pics. The M1 mini lost the SD card slot so we needed to find a dongle. This was an easy way to add the slot as well as a few extra USB ports.

I bought this hub because it was on sale, and I had a 2012 27â iMac that I am restoring. The hub raises the iMac just a bit, and it is perfect for my line of sight. The built-in input and output allow me to work more efficiently instead of reaching the iMacâs connections in the back. Excellent Satechi quality. I highly recommend it.

With 27 inches to look at. I was hurting my neck and back. That little height has made a big difference not only for my neck but my enjoyment of such a big screen. Added bonus was I can slide my keyboard under the USB insert and the mouse on top. Or both on top out of the way. More room on my desk. I think its much better the Twelve South Hirise pro stand. That I was in the process of buying when I stumbled upon this stand.
Almost a must have for any iMac owner, in my opinion. The extra height alone makes all the difference in ergonomics, but I wish the stand could be taller as I still feel itâs not tall enough.Additionally, the extra ports that are easy to reach are great. I went for the cheaper option with just two usb-c ports, so this device was a life saver.
Needed an aesthetic solution to raise my 27" iMac, and decided to go with the Satechi. It's possibly the best looking iMac stand on the market and the quality finish is almost as good as the iMac. The USB-C hub under the front improves ergonomics and accessibility over the iMac. Please note the USB-C hub does not provide Thunderbolt connectivity or the ability to daisy chain screens/Cintiq tablets from the front of the Satechi. The USB-C only has USB 3, headphone, and SD card connectivity.
I bought the stand and nothing works, the audio does not work, the USB does not charge. I wrote to Satechi and I was ask for information that will probably helped them develop better products, such as my iMac model. I was also given instructions to shutdown my iMac, pull the cables off, wait 15 sec and plug everything in again etc. This product does not work and Satechi is using me, who paid with my hard earned money, and now feels like a test case!! DO NOT BUY this product. A total disappointment.
