Dior Sauvage Eau de Parfum (EDP) is a refined and captivating fragrance that elevates the original Eau de Toilette with a deeper, more intense profile. This version maintains the freshness and spiciness that Sauvage is known for, but with added richness and depth. The opening is still dominated by the vibrant Calabrian bergamot, but it is complemented by a heart of spicy star anise, nutmeg, and lavender, which provide a warmer and more aromatic experience. These middle notes blend seamlessly, creating a scent that is both bold and sophisticated. The base notes are where the EDP truly shines. Longevity and projection are excellent, ensuring that you can enjoy the scent for hours without the need for reapplication. The fragrance projects well without being overpowering, striking a perfect balance that is sure to garner compliments. The bottle design mirrors the original, with its sleek, gradient blue design, but the darker tones hint at the richer, more intense nature of the EDP. In summary, Dior Sauvage EDP is a sophisticated and alluring fragrance that enhances the freshness of the original with deeper, more complex notes. It is perfect for those who appreciate a versatile, long-lasting scent that transitions seamlessly from day to night.

When my husband sprayed it on his skin it is milky for a brief moment . No need to fret though, just give it a second and once it is absorbed it soaks in and disappears and leaves behind the smell of enticement. My husbands describes Dior Sauvage Eau Forte at first spritz opening notes on the spice side a tad musky and woody and he can’t describe the small floral that he detected. Half an hour later a spicy and a little powder and a sweet scent . He describes it as definitely a fall fragrance not summery he also says that it’s different from Diors others in the Sauvage line and not quite his absolute favorite but he said he would definitely wear it again. When I smelled it I got the hint of musk and spice, after it dries and sits I detect a slight scent of licorice I also detected notes of floral , and dare I say that it’s lavender? I have to say that I didn’t think. that lavender could smell so enticing on a man but I am loving how it smells on my husband .Overall , Dior Sauvage Eau Forte smells wonderful, the only complaint is longevity is not as long lasting as preferred but that seems to be what comes hand in hand with alcohol free fragrances honestly I want to smell a fragrance throughout the whole day.

I really enjoyed the original Dior Sauvage my husband previously owned it and it smelled amazing on him. The original almost lasts an eternity I can still smell it on my husband’s clothes a day later. This flanker still has some of the original sauvage dna but is slightly more fresh while the original is more on the woodier side. This has notes of elemi resin, lavender, musk and wood notes and I definitely get lots of the lavender and wood notes. This is a good fragrance but for it being a water based cologne I would say that it’s way too overpriced because sadly the longevity is not there. I tried it on my skin and my husbands and it was gone within an hour or two not to mention the liquid itself is a white milky type of color and will stain certain colored clothes ... I tried it on my skin and my husbands and it was gone within an hour or two not to mention the liquid itself is a white milky type of color and will stain certain colored clothes especially black so be mindful not to spray it to close to your clothes. Did we really need another Dior flanker? No but I am pretty sure people will still probably buy this, I personally just feel like they should start creating new fragrances and not just flankers it’s a bit overplayed at this point. To summarize if you have the money and like a fresher woody type of scent then you will love this but in my opinion I feel like you can definitely get the same scent profile for a bit cheaper, overall it’s nice but don’t think it’s worth the money. I received this product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review.
This newly released fragrance definitely caught my attention, and for more than one reason. So let’s dive in and explore. I’ll start off my addressing the elephant in the room, the water based formula (actually water and oil based). As opposed to the alcohol based fragrances that we’re accustomed to which are for the most part clear and colorless this one is a milky and opaque white liquid, not only noticeable by looking through the bottom of the bottle but also when sprayed on your skin, so this might be a new concept that some may need to get accustomed to. With that aside let’s dig in deeper and begin to break down this fragrance. With that aside let’s dig in deeper and begin to break down this fragrance. On the opening you are met with the strong yet smooth aroma of Elemi Resin which I can describe as balsamic, woody, piney aromas with undertones of incense. Within a few minutes the body begins to open up revealing scents of spice, powder, mild lavender and musk, all wrapped in a blanket of mild sweetness. The clock ticked for quite some time before reaching its dry stage, there you’re left with an initial note of sweetness alongside undertones of power, lavender and wood. On final thoughts I would recommend sampling this one before committing, scent lasted between 4 to 6 hours, projection is 3 to 4 feet, scent trail and overall performance leaves a bit to desired. Intended as a year round fragrance (day or night) but I would prefer it as a nighttime, casual or formal events and would say better suited for the cooler months.
So let's start off by saying I've known about Dior sauvage since the original came out with the metallic top note that I didn't too much care for. Since then there have been several flankers or reiterations of this legendary fragrance.I'm always excited when I hear about new versions coming out and I think to date elixir is probably my favorite take on this particular fragrance but when I heard that master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian the maker behind such Classics as Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male and baccarat Rouge 540 was at the helm I knew I had to smell this. My worry was in the alcohol-free piece of this, as most that have tried this have failed or it has not lived up to the expectation of the brand. My worry was in the alcohol-free piece of this, as most that have tried this have failed or it has not lived up to the expectation of the brand. Translated into " strong water" with a somewhat milky consistency I was not sure what to expect.I have since given this a try on both my arm and my neck and I'm not a huge fan of the texture and milky whiteness but it has a pleasant smell nonetheless. Do I feel it is an EDP concentration? Sadly no this is giving me an intense EDT vibe. I think that's where one of my disappointments stem from was the concentration. I applied this about 2 hours ago or so and I hardly smell it anymore. That is a huge letdown for a brand new release by a world-renowned perfumer to say the least. This was aiming for the Moon and fell short before it even took off. It's sadly breaks no new ground and is unremarkable. With other Heavy Hitters from well-known brands coming out swinging this one is a swing and a miss for me. I really was hyped for this and wanted to love it I'm a bit pained to say I am not a fan. This almost makes me want to put on baccarat Rouge 540 and reminisce about Peak fragrance greatness. Has a fragrance collector I've had many fragrances done by this perfumer so it was a bit surprising that I did not love this one as most things he's done I've been a huge fan of. Projection is weak and so is longevity. It's there and then it's gone within 2 hours.

Its fragrance notes are listed as “cold spices”, lavender and ‘woods’ as the main players. The water-based formulation is what’s supposed to set this fragrance apart from any other, which, when sprayed anywhere from 2-8 inches upon the skin, looks sort of milky. With Francis Kurkdijan designing this fragrance, I thought this likely would be designed as a more unique play off of Sauvage but surprisingly, it smelled and felt nothing like the initial Dior Sauvage.Note: Sauvage is nothing like Eau Sauvage nor was it made to be. They are completely, distinctly different ingredients and formulations. I state this because they are countlessly confused with one another. This is quite loud & proud in the initial burst of about 5 seconds as it clings to the skin and begins its bloom from an almost harsh spiciness into an equally harsh metallic phase before gradually finding its more tolerable balance of herbaceous woods. We definitely got the spices. No lavender whatsoever. The woods, however, are gorgeous - like ground-cover evergreens at the base of pines or firs.Inconsistently 3-7 hours on longevity; a very skintimate fragrance for sure.Nothing stand-out. Nothing noteworthy. Generic, as it smells pretty much like any other spice fragrance flooding the market. Most spin-offs rarely reinvent the wheel, this too suffers failure and therefore rates a 2.5.

No detection of lavender. The woods, however, are gorgeous - like ground-cover evergreens at the base of pines or firs. While we wanted to LOVE this, it fell short.Unfortunately, as with most spin-offs, rarely can they ‘reinvent the wheel’ which usually results in an epic fail when being compared to an original - that’s if a person is familiar with the OG.This comes off as most any other “spice” fragrance now flooding the market. Nothing stand-out, nothing individual. Generic.Sadly, not a single “wow” moment came along after trying several times. And for $160 for 2oz, I need to be wow’d.However, it does score points for trying to reach longevity status on my husband. In a day/age where it seems everything has been diluted to non-existent proportions yet still calls for premium prices, this did consistently reach 2-3 hour stay before finally becoming skintimate (where you have to plant your nose to the scented part of the skin) for the remaining 2-4 hours. The time ranges are varied and rarely hit consistent timeframes for some unknown reason. Sometimes it’s a 3-4 hour range, sometimes 6-7 hours. Go figure. 🤷♀️Ultimately, this gets a 2.5 out of 5 rating.(Influenster doesn’t have 1/2 star ratings so I rounded up instead.)
*I Received this Complimentary from Influenster in return for Honest Review *So naturally I was excited to have the opportunity to be one of the first to try Diors Newest Version of the Sauvage Cologne Line. Love the way these bottles look and its magnetic cap. I am still on the fence about not having alcohol and using water as its base. I wore this today to work and the first thing i noticed was this does not spray as clean as my other Sauvage version, and what i mean by that is that it sprays messy and it also takes multiple sprays to have enough on my skin to make it work. I also noticed that once sprayed it was milky looking which was weird but I did like how it smelled. The opening is really spicy to me and at first my initial thought was this is even close to ... The opening is really spicy to me and at first my initial thought was this is even close to other sauvage versions as far as the signature scent but as it dried down I could smell that scent that makes this Cologne what it is. After it finally dried down It has a mildly musky smell which honestly i like cause im not really a musk wearing cologne guy but this was also blended with a spiciness take that just really stands out on its other versions. My real negative on this cologne is that it doesn’t perform like a Parfum Cologne and the longevity suffers somewhat in my opinion because after a few hours i was already to reapply which isn’t normally something i would do with any of my other Parfum version Colognes. I am still grateful to have been chosen to do this review and I will still wear this one but maybe it will better suited for Cooler weather times and Winter because in warm weather it definitely doesn’t perform the way i hoped it would. Its still a beautiful scented Cologne though but water base isn’t my forte. I still wanna Thank Influenster and Dior for this opportunity.

I wore this today to work and the first thing I noticed was that the atomizer doesn’t spray as clean as my other Sauvage version, and what I mean by that is that it sprays sorta messy and drippy and it also takes multiple sprays to be strong enough to smell for lengths of time. I also think projection is weaker than what a Parfum version cologne should be as this was maybe 1 foot of protection unfortunately.
