Scanpan 32cm Classic Wok

This is my second Scanpan wok. It has the same problem as the first one: the wok was great when it was new, but the nonstick layer wears fast even if I have always been very careful and always use silicone spatulas. I won't buy another one of this brand.

This product is advertised as suitable for an induction hob. It’s ok, nothing special. It only heats up at the base and there’s very little heat transfer up to the sides- just like any other (cheaper) wok.

A Wok All Seasons!

I've owned a Scanpan Wok for 2 years & it's great. It cooks evenly & nothing sticks; very easy to cook a chinese omelette with it. Our daughter who's back from uni is cooking for the family & loves using it so much that we're having stir-fries 4 out 7 days. I bought her a Scanpan Wok for Xmas as she said she'd never use another brand again (& I didn't want to find mine 'accidentally' packed with her kitchen utensils when she leaves ).

A must have!

I bought my wok 2 years ago along with a frypan and pasta pot. I use them daily, and so easy to clean. I have also bought scanpan as gifts for 3 of my grown children as I didnt want them to wait 30 years before discovering great cookware! They absolutely love theirs too and I know they will still be using them for years to come. I also love how I could get them gift wrapped and sent FOC as they all live interstate.

Beautiful Scanpan wok

The Scanpan wok is a very stylish-looking one, with a lovely shape and a flattened base, ideal for my stovetop. The main handle is lovely to hold and allows an excellent soft but firm grip and the smaller grip opposite makes it very safe and secure to manipulate! You only need a medium flame for the wok to distribute a good even hot heat and it cooks fast and beautifully!

I love this pan

I use this pan all the time now for everything. It cooks almost everything perfectly... crepes are on another pan, this is not the tool for that but almost everything else :)

Love this wok

We love this wok & cook in it a lot. It's very easy to clean!The only thing I wish is that Scanpan made a small wok, also. This wok is 12 1/2" diam., 3 1/2" high. 5-qt. cap. & is 4 lb. We cook in it 1-2 times a week, but that's not a choice.I really wish they made a 2 or 2 1/2 quart capacity. There's just my husband & myself most of the time.

Scanpan Classic Wok

I have had my scanpan classic wok for some time and we love it. Our daughter has just moved into her own unit and likes to cook Asian and used my wok often while living with us. So when asked what she wanted for house warming, of course she asked for a wok like mine and I happily ordered the the Scanpan Classic from kitchen warehouse. I also like cooking Asian, but I also find it ideal for cooking curries and other stews. It is my favourite saucepan - so versatile.

Wrong description

This wok is miss labeled on the website. It does not say on the box it is a 2 qt. Wok and scanpan does not list the 12.5 inch wok as 2 qt, it lists it as 4.5 qts. I returned it because I bought the same wok that listed it as 4.5 qt.

great wok

I started using a smaller Scanpan years ago, and really used it everyday. But I wanted a general purpose non-teflon pan with high sides; to stir fry larger amounts, without oil splattering over the sides. This one is great. Same quality as my old scanpan. They are also good for non-stick solar cooking, as this wok has oven rated handles. I would recommend this wok to anyone, for the price is quite good for what you get in terms of ease of cooking. The titanium-carbide non-stick surface works really well, and as far as I know it is the best choice if you are trying to avoid teflon and other high-temperature plastics in your cookware.
